Seems to be. I read it was J.R.'s last act as President of Talent Relations or whatever he was before the promotion.

Nah, his own personal invasion and nobody bothered to stop it :shifty:

seems kinda pointless to me, unless it has something to do with scotty 2 hotty and rikishi.

now, if those three were back again, that would b ok.
but then again...they were big like 3 or 4 years ago...wots the point of bringing it back.

and wasnt brian lawler sacked from wwe for drug abuse or sumthing. Aren't the wwe very agaisnt that? (thats fun drugs; not steriods, wwe loves them!))

They did release Eddie Guererro for drug use awhile ago didn't they, like a few years back

so wot, did brian lawler just walk out or have they been planning this for a few weeks with lead ups and that? ( i havent watched raw in ages)
what was the crowd reaction like?

Is it just coincidence that lawler and eugene both debut on the same show...or is that a future tag team?

Boondock Saint

It was a surprise to me. Crowd reaction was kind of mixed it sounded like. People were prolly like "WTF. Ok..." Kane's face said it all really, :wtf: .

Eugene debuted last week, not this week. I don't believe they're gonna pair them up...but who knows?

Lawler was released for having drugs in his bag while crossing the Canadian border. No charges were ever filed and he probably would've been back sooner had he not had a run in the NWATNA.

Recycling old gimmicks is almost always a bad idea, so I hope they don't team him up with 'Kish and Scotty.

There was no lead up. He just walked out, started doing the 'running man' then got squashed as Kane. I see a big future for him jobbing on Heat.

To be honest - I think GMS has potential. Personally - I think he can be an extremely good heel. Think back to around the time of Wrestlemania 14. I'd much rather see him be a heel on Smackdown (in the CW division), but oh well.

Did you see him? He's about a dozen value meals over the cruiserweight limit.

GMS had potential. But it's not 1999 and the only real purpose he'd serve is the "Billy Gunn" role: the crowd recognizes him so whoever he does the job for gets some bonus points. But any kind of push would be a complete waste of time.

I don't watch Raw and so I didn't see what he looked like. Any recent pics?

Anyways - I think his cockiness and mic skills should be able to garner decent heat. As a face however - I'd have to agree. STALE! (especially if he's become pudgier).

You should probably put a spoiler warning before the Brits tear you a new asshole.

That said, I'm glad he's back. He was always the better half of 2 Cool, and he didn't get a fair shake with the drug thing (apparently they're legal in the US but not Canada). And he's definitely not a cruiserweight anymore. He's a little beefier now, but still good.

Cocaine is legal in the US?

He didn't have cocaine on him at all from my understanding. I'm pretty sure they were painkillers.

GMS was always the better half of Too Cool, IMO. I think after Rikishi and Scotty lose their belts, Brian will get traded over to SmackDown!.

quite sure it was cocaine
like about a 1/10 of a gram

He was officially charged with possession of methanphetamine and cocaine. Calgary News reported that marijuana was found as well. Brian denies that, and claims the only thing that was on him was androstenedione, a muscle building agent which is controlled in Canada but legal in the U.S.

Hm...I haven't seen him wrestling, but he seems to be a light guy. So I forsee just three possibilities for him:
a)He becomes a Heat jobber
b)He stays on Raw and somehow gets involved in the Eugene-Regal thing
c)He moves to SD! and reforms Too Cool

matt is only jobbing right now both him and lawler are best known as tag teams, unless they get rid of the tag belts, thats best thing for both.

Get rid of the tag belts? The tag belts aren't exactly the European Championship there, ya know?

So you take someone with talent and a unique character who is stuck in the midcard because the writers don't seem to have anytihng to do with him, and team him up with a past-his-prime goofball who's gimmick was tired before he was fired the last time. He wears cow print pants and does the running man for god's sake???

Just because both guys worked tag matches before doesn't mean sticking them together would work. Matt would look like the cool guy at a party hanging out with loser wannabe.

And why he jobbed to Kane.

I thought he was fairly entertaining when he went by Brian Christopher and was a part of that god awful Light-Heavyweight division. If he's ever going to get over again, I don't think it'll happen in the role of Grandmaster Sexay.

P.S.- Anybody remember when we wrestled Scott Putski (I forget what PPV) and Putski got his knee all phucked up? That was sick.
