View Full Version : So, I've been thinking.... (spoiler)

When Vince warned Bret on RAW last night that Bret will be screwed at WrestleMania, what do you think he meant? I'm hoping he didn't mean a penis will be inserted into Bret's anus (Bret literally being screwed), but what if Vince meant Earl Hebner is coming back (leaving TNA) to ref the match against Bret? Suppose we see an angle where Earl is referring the match, Vince thinks Earl is going to "screw" Bret again, and at the end of the match Earl ends up siding with Bret instead of with Vince? I think that'd be kind of cool. What do you think?

I do not think he meant a penis will be inserted into Bret's anus (Bret literally being screwed), so you don't need to lose sleep over that.

While your idea would be kind of cool (still think there are better alternatives to the ending of this match) it is highly unlikely. I would rather see no outside involvement and Bret just straight up beating Vince's ass, with possibly Austin making a surprise appearance after the match to celebrate and then the locker room throws Bret on their shoulders like WrestleMania X.

Vince is gonna bring a bag of screws to the match.

ALSO it seems to me this match is partially to close the book on the Montreal Screwjob forever. Your idea would only make it continue and make Bret look like a hypocrite if he claimed he beat Vince like that. Also people might not know who Earl Hebner is and be like wtf is going on.

What The Franchise said. :y:

ok but I'm wondering, what do you guys think Vince meant what he said Bret will be screwed?

I think he just meant that Bret is screwed, as in Vince is going to kick his ass

He meant "this is a good way to push the match and remind people of why we're doing it".

Thanks, Franchise and Xero. NOW I get it. :)

with rumors floating around that Bret will be active with the WWE on television well after Wrestlemania, is it possible that the Mania match DOES end screwjob style, and this feud gets stretched out even longer, the way HBK vs. Vince was?

I was thinking maybe they would pull some angle that if Bret touches Vince, Vince can have him arrested or some stupid shit like that, or Vince will sue him for assault. What means the drama will keep going after this Sunday.

Shawn Michaels interferes and Vince gets the win. This leads to a rematch at Backlash, where in an M. Night Shayamalan twist, Michaels (most likely 'retired' by Taker) runs in and beats Vince down after Vince pulls some stupid shit like knocking Bret out with a chair or something. Michaels throws Bret on top of McMahon, 3 count for the win. Michaels uses some type of excuse like how it was the plan all along to get back at Vince for 'making' him screw Bret in Montreal and having to live with that for so many years or something about how he couldnt have his career end on a night where he had screwed Bret for Vince again. Something like that anyways.

That would honestly completely ruin WrestleMania 26. Completely.

Yes, but despite Vince's best efforts Shawn still beat the shit out of him and won that match.

I think it's almost mandatory that Bret gets his revenge on Vince, and we get the payoff of Bret locking him in the sharpshooter for the win.

That doesn't mean that Vince can't try to pull some ridiculous stunts during the match, and the fued could easily continue after this. All it takes is a humiliated Vince taking things to the next level the next night on Raw.

I think it would be awesome if the Hart Dynasty was used as part of Vince's scheme, either on Wrestlemania or shortly after.
I wouldn't mind an appearance by Patterson and Brisco during the match either.

fuck Earl Hebner...... I would rather see The Hart Dynasty get the rub by siding with Vince....

It'd be cool if they pulled a swerve and had Vince win the match, coz no one would see that coming.

OR have Vince win thanks to a run-in by El Dandy! :D

Yeah, I think if anyone is brought in for some wacky shenanigans, it should be The Hart Dynasty. I could see them either helping out Bret or Vince, to be honest. The way Vince said "one way or another" makes me think that Bret will win the match (as he should), but then during the celebrations, David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd turn on Bret, or something. But even that is a stretch. I think it would just work better for Hart to win, celebrate, say goodbye to Shawn Michaels on RAW, and then get drafted to SmackDown! to help out around there for a while.

Fuck all of this. No interference. Vince vs Bret. Straight up.

When's the last time there even was a run in during a big Mania match?

I was perplexed by why they had Batista return on Raw the night after Wrestlemania last year, and not during the main event which was in dire need of a more satisfying finish.

Shane McMahon for Vince vs HBK at Mania 22?

I really don't want any interference in Bret vs Vince. This is such a personal feud, kayfabe and real life. They need to just do the street fight for less than 10 mins and build up to the Sharpshooter and finally put the Screwjob behind them. HBK will not be interfering. He has wanted to bury the hatchet for a long time and the way they did it on Jan 4th was perfect.

The Hart Dynasty is simply not over enough to interfere and would hurt the match IMO. I'm almost certain it would kill a lot of the intensity in the match. It would be like Pipers Pit at WM 21, Piper and Austin had great chemistry and an intense moment but then as soon as Carlito showed up it was all gone. Not saying that was a bad move because what else were they supposed to do but there isn't any reason for outside interference in this match (I understand it will be a cripple fight, but it is No Holds Barred so Bret should be alright) and any potential candidates for interfering are not worth it or not over enough.

Like didnt the Hart Dynasty job on Smackdown last week? They aren't really getting the greatest push right now and to interfere in a match that will go down as one of the most important in Wrestlemania history -- I don't think it will happen
