Yeah, I got really bored, so I broke out the old keyboard and decided to record some stuff, namely me playing the first verse of Konstantine by Something Corporate.
I'm still kinda blocked up (like, sick) and shit, so be gentle. :$

I was gonna record some Ben Folds Five stuff, but I'll see how the response is first, I guess.

Alright, I got even more bored so I recorded the rest of Konstantine. However:
1. It is abridged, because I forgot the structure.
2. I forgot some of the words. :$ It's hard to think of lyrics and play piano lines at the same time, okay? :$ :'(
And it basically starts where the last one ends. Max power high note near the end, too.

I can play "Brick" by BF5 on the piano. Anyway, GREAT STUFF.. I really liked the "Magic" song. Post some more. Do you know good sites to get sheet music for these songs or midi's?

Konstantine is a lameass song.
Not to bash your playing, which was fine there, i t's just boring as all fu</>ck.
Magic ain't bad, but reminds me of why I hate electronic keyboards.

Hmm, not offhand. When I was learning the Ben Folds Five stuff, I just looked up "Ben Folds Five Chords" on Google, that's usually helpful. That'll take you to sites with the piano chords for the songs, then you can fill in the appegios and fills yourself. It's especially useful for people who are starting out; I only taught myself to play about 3 years ago. :-\

Yeah, I taught myself about 3 yrs ago too. I started out learning piano tabs, then as I learned more about notes and what not, I moved on towards sheet music. Now I use midi notate to learn how to play songs. I just download midi's and then it turns the midi into sheet music and I can listen to how the notes are played as well as seeing the notes.

Like Kane Knight said it sounded good, the song was just a bit crap.

Yeah, I'm semi-self taught. I only really play block chords right now, but I basically run through stuff using basic chords found at www.tabcrawler.com (http://www.tabcrawler.com) or www.olga.net (http://www.olga.net) . Of course, neither one is really dedicated to piano, but most of the stuff I do originally comes off of guitar anyway.

I have no clue how Chords work. I just never understood how to play them.

A basic chord is just 1-3-5, starting with the root. for example, a C chord is C E G...
The trick is figuring out how to voice chords.
