WWE wrestler Matt Hardy said in a fan chat today that he believes his brother, TNA wrestler Jeff Hardy, will return to WWE once his body heals from the full-time WWE schedule and he "gets himself together."

"It's one of those things. Jeff can't handle the schedule right now," Matt said in the chat. "I think it's not going to be a long-term thing. I think as soon as his body heals up and he gets it together, he'll be back in the WWE again."

Its no more "Jeff wans to return", rather its "WWE does not cater to having him back"

So what Matt was trying to say is that Jeff will comeback when the Wellness Policy is gone......

The WWE will take Jeff Hardy back in a second. TNA seems like a good option for Jeff at the moment, with the scheduling and the lifestyle and all that; but if he eventually misses the big bucks and the large arenas, he could go back at a moment's notice.

Give him a Nailz gimmick.

That's a bullshit comment. WWE was trying to bring him back when it was just a rumor he was going to TNA.

So THAT'S why the first post references him as a TNA wrestler.

It's more a matter of do the WWE want a former WWE who defected to TNA for a while to come back?

I mean yes, WWE did want him back, but he ended up signing with the competition, does that make him more desireable to the WWE or just another wrestler looking for a pay cheque?

It's like this, after Flair signed with TNA, do you think after his deal with TNA is done that the WWE is going to sign him to a contract right away?

Yeah, the WWE would gladly sign Flair to some sort of legends deal, and possibly bring him in as some sort of authority figure/manager.

That's where I think you're wrong. Not many wrestlers who retire get the kind of send off Ric Flair got, and to all of a sudden to be signing with the competition after a year and a half is kind of insulting.

I don't think they would sign him. Vince seems to hold grudges for a while, i.e. the macho man.

They signed him back last time... And they also re-signed Christian...

True enough.

I just get this feeling with Jeff it'll be different and his WWE career may be tainted with this going to TNA. If the rumors are true, and the WWE was trying to get him back then wouldn't it be even more hurtful to the WWE for him to pick TNA over them?

Given Jeff's legal/substance problems, and the fact that he's gone to a company that is now trying to compete with WWE, don't expect any kind of push for him if and when he returns.
He's proven himself to be unreliable in more ways than one. The things WWE probably cares most about are the wellness policy, staying out of trouble, and jumping ship.

A guy needs to work, though. The WWE knows this. I mean, on one hand, yes, the WWE did give Flair a very special send-off. That moment, though, was also special because of who Ric Flair is. Ric Flair, as a performer, is someone special, and someone who warranted that moment based on just how much he has done for the business. I think the WWE would also take back Hulk Hogan if he left TNA tomorrow, just because guys like that equate to money.

It's not just what the WWE has done for Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan, but it's about how much those guys have done for the WWE. Regardless of petty little actions, if Vince can make money off them, he will make money off them. It makes sense to sign them up and get them into his court, because it allows their profitable likeness and video histories to be marketed by the WWE. You just know the WWE is bummed out about Hogan and Flair being "dirty names" right now.

When it is all said and done, I expect Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley and Jeff Hardy to all have some sort of agreement with the WWE again. Now, that being said -- if Jeff Hardy re-signed with the WWE -- I don't think we'd see the WWE Title on him right away. I'm sure we'd get him in some sort of feud with CM Punk, a tag team run with Matt Hardy, and then maybe a half-hearted main event push to test the waters again. I do not have any doubt that Vince would want Jeff on his roster, though. Once all this legal trouble clears up, however.

Randy Savage is a very special and unique case. It's really quite bizarre. I'm also surprised TNA has not worked out some sort of deal with him yet.

Absolutely. I don't think he'd be made the central guy in the company or anything. But beyond all those things you mentioned, it is also about money. If Jeff Hardy makes the WWE cash, then they would snap him up. Any grudges would be creatively, in my opinion.
