Five years? Never? How much would you pay to see superstars from the Royal Rumble eliminated right onto your living room floor?

Let's go ahead and get it out of the way right now:

When 3D tvs hit the market in june-july. Samsung panels will allow you to watch anything in 3D, but only at about 40% of actual 3D quality.

I think that made sense.

I think anyone who has seen the new 3D done properly would at the very least be interesting to see television like wrestling and sporting events in 3D.

How good it would be, and how muh it would cost would be a big factor. As long as it wasn't a ridiculous increase in price and looked good, I'd be for it.

I think it's something they will try once or twice, hype the shit out of SUPERSTARS IN YOUR LIVING ROOM and realize it looks awful never try it again.

WWE would probably pull it off. Their production is fucking ridiculously good.

it might be cool but I think it would be to expensive for Vince to produce.
It would also give a whole new meaning to WWE In your house.:D

I will predict this happens in the year 2017

They'd have to use some different camera angles for the 3D to actually look nice though. Certain camera angles look better than others.

If any sport or sport like company can do this it's WWE. Their production values have always been ahead of everyone else.

I recall them taking a while to switch to HD, and it being very expensive to get the equipment to do so.

I don't think a 3D gimmick would be fulltime, or long term. They'd probably do it as a one-off and if it was a hit they'd use the gimmick from time to time.
I could see them toying with the concept in the next few years, and if they think they could pull it off well, hype it as a big deal for Wrestlemania 30 in MSG.

I kind of wish they would do WM 30 at a stadium in New York. Like Yankee Stadium. Imagine a stadium show in NEW YORK CITY

It would probably be easier to pull off for WWE since all the "action" is confined to such a small area, they wouldn't need a bazillion cameras to pull it off.

I have seen some EPL games in 3D and it was fucking amazing. Seeing the ball come at you at high speed initially made me duck. It was weird to start with, then just fucking awesome.

WrestleMania 33-D

I give it 2-3 years MAX. 3D is the way of the future and I can see them jumping on this much quicker than they did HD.

If they did it at an IMax theatre in 3d, that would be a much better experience than watching it at home.

Though I dont think Imax is equipped to show live events.

Everyone said Wrestling wouldn't work in HD, and that's been pretty good.

I say 2 years wrestling is in 3-D.

That's why I think Wrestlemania 30 would be the ideal place for them to do it. From a business standpoint, they could bill it as a huge deal, and what better place to do that than on the 30th show at MSG.

I assume it will be at MSG due to tradition.

Franchise, a Wrestlemania in a bigger stadium would be cool but the weather in NY does not permit that at this time of year.

I would love to see Wrestlemania start doing Summerslam from Baseball parks though. It could be accomplished during road trips. It's not hard to do, since they have concerts at baseball parks all the time during the regular season.

A Summerslam from Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium would be incredible. It would be really unique and special, and they could obviously design the whole identity of the show around it.

Rain is always a factor, but they have the canope. As for the crowd getting rained on, I highly doubt people with tickets to see a wrestling show somewhere like Fenway or Yankee Stadium would be worried about rain.
The biggest fear would be lightning, but they've taken that gamble before.

Completely forgot about the weather. Would be funny to see it snowing down on the ring. Cena riding a snowmobile to the ring. :D

SummerSlam would work. Remember SSlam 1992

Summerslam from Fenway Park asap please. Can't imagine how cool it would be. The entrance way would be in center field. And they could set up a giant video screen on the green monster.

If they gimmicked a stage in front of the wall, they could do a huge spot off of the green monster, similar to Shane's big jump.

Or how about a SummerSlam in Wrigley Field? CM Punk in the main event.
