I liked it. Obviously didn't care for the finish but you can't have everything, at least Jericho got his win.

No way, Supreme Olajuwon. John Cena and David Batista are the devil.

Batistas are ornery because they got all them teeth and no toothbrush

I'm no Batista or Cena fan, but aside from Taker/Michaels, it was the only match that had that "big match feel" IMHO

Great. I enjoyed the shit out of this match. I will go as far as to say it was equal to, and probably greater than, Edge vs Jericho.
And I'm a huge Jericho and Edge mark.

I know this is hard for the IWC to admit because it's a big no no to enjoy anything John and Dancing Dave do, but they had a great match. And that's not a first for either of them

Batista and Cena put on a great match. Like Jeritron, I am also a huge fan of Edge and Jericho and I also believe they put on a better match.

Sure I was pissed when Cena won, but only because this is the first time ever I've liked Batista's character and I think he deserved a longer title run. I'm looking forward to a rematch at Extreme Rules.

It wasn't a bad match at all. The crowd being dead early on hurt the match but they really got into it by the end. I was kind of surprised how quiet the crowd was considering the two men involved in the match.

What I did not like was the outcome. This match was not main-eventing so the face did not have to win. Cena has had many 'Wrestlemania moments' where he wins the title/retains the title. This feud was really hot and Batista is probably the best he's ever been right now. They should have let him retain instead of playing hot potato with the WWE title like they have lately. This feud could have kept going and Cena chasing the title and finally not overcoming the odds would have made things more interesting during the post Mania downtime until the summer. Instead now we will get the same thing we've seen for five years. :-/

Good match, bad booking decision.

Also, Cena's FU where he almost threw Batista was pretty cool

I'm sorry, but I just didn't like the match. It was boring for me. I got right into the build-up, and I got right into Batista as a heel, and I knew Cena would prove himself by taking the WWE Title from Batista. The ending didn't worry me. It was everything else.

* Cena's entrance was really annoying. It had nothing to do with Cena, and reeked of the WWE being out of touch with their audience. The crowd booing it was really funny to me, because I could just imagine the meeting where the WWE decided to do it because there is no way an audience can boo the military. Bullshit.

* I thought that the match was sloppy. It got better at the end. There were some impressive spots. I liked how Batista countered something Cena did into the Batista Bomb. There was also a cool spot where he got Batista up into the Attitude Adjustment. For the most part, though, Batista was over-rotating, or doing too much and it things just flew out of control. I legitimately thought that Cena broke his neck on the DDT spot. I dunno, the match just didn't work for me. I was too busy trying to tell if one of the guys got injured on each spot. Where's all this good match stuff coming from? Bullshit.

* Jerry Lawler's commentary annoyed me during this match. The way he sucks Cena's dick makes me want to see them both banished from the WWE forever. That is not a good thing. In fact, it is bullshit.

* Cena beating Batista was fine; but the way they played it up as the biggest moment of the century? I know face victories are meant to be huge, but it just didn't seem right. Sometimes less is more. Cena's reaction to winning was just over-the-top and really shows how he misses the cues as a performer sometimes. It reminded me of why I really don't like this character.

* The crowd also ruined the match. And it's not their fault. If Cena and Batista were a little more electric, it wouldn't be up to the crowd to entertain themselves during a match.

I did like the way Cena went and poses with those "We Hate Cena" fans. But besides that, I never intend to watch Batista vs. Cena ever again. Actually, I made do so just to see if I am being too hard on the match, but this love for it, to me, is baffling. I enjoyed Triple H vs. Sheamus far, far more. And it is known I am not a Triple H fan.

I'll never understand how people can let something like entrances or announcing ruin a match for them.

Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

Jeritron

On the topic of announcing, I'd like to say that Michael Cole did a fine job during Michaels/Taker. He was losing his voice putting it over. He'll never be JR, but the guy was doing his best and had some great intensity.

I marked out for "Nobody wants the streak to end. Nobody wants the career to end. Something has got to give"

For the most part I didn't notice any bad commentary. A few good things stuck out, but the rest was really just background noise.
I notice that more when I'm watching less intense matches on television by myself. I was too into most of the matches to notice, and for matches I wasn't into I was talking to or listening to friends.

I would never let it ruin a match for me.

Cena showed some fucking strength in that match, the FU was massive and he even did some chain wrestling.

Loved that match

Yeah definitely a good match. I went into it expecting a Cena win, and as the entrances happened the announcers went on about how one sided the build-up was and I felt it made the outcome even more obvious...but they did a great job of suspending my disbelief cause I thought it was gonna be over after Batista kicked out of the Attitude Adjustment and then hit another Batista Bomb. Solid showing, and I figured they'd put on a good match at WM.

Not exactly thrilled that Cena's lost the belt only to get it a month later for the second time in a year, but that's another story.

Cena winning Wrestlemania wasn't surprising. Matter of fact, it was completely easily guessed. I decided to make a bet with a non wrestling fan that the big tattooed dude would lose to Cena and I made some money. Thanks John!

His gimmick is old as fuck. Almost as old as Mae Young.

He's not a great character because he's never played a strong heel role.

Sure, he played the punk ass kid when he first started, on Smackdown, but he was an hated heel like Orton, Jericho, Edge, Triple H, The Rock, Stone Cold etc...

I'm hoping he takes time off, or changes his persona in the near future because I'm tired of him coming out and *saving the day* either by interfering in a match or giving a *pride* speech.

Also...

It looks like Orton is going to be the Stone Cold of today with the guy you love to hate but cheer for.

After his Wrestlemania performance, where he was still being the sinister guy, but looking for the crowds support, it looks evident that he's moving to the middle field instead of the top heel that he once was.

I think the movie is great, as we don't want to see the same thing every week, and character roles and plots must change in order to keep things fresh.

I also hope that Undertaker retires soon. He's just too old.

WHO THE FUCK... DECIDED TO PUT VICKY GUERRERO ON WRESTLEMANIA?

I would have loved to see a Bra n Panties Match with the sexy ladies...
But Vicky Guerrero? Seriously? You have MILLIONS of people who aren't even WRESTLING FANS, watching this and you put Vicky Guerrero on for 2 diff shoots. Great way to turn them off...

She's fat, her ass showed at the end, and she's annoying as hell... Sure, she's a great heel, but any wrestling fan wants to gauge his own eyes out and throwing the tv out the window instead of talking slurs about her.

Edge and Jericho match didn't live up to my expectations, until the end with the spear.

I thought the Rey vs Cm Punk match was great.

The LADDER MATCH was fucking awesome...

I'm hoping that Smackdown moves to Thursday nights to take Impacts popularity.
Let's face it, noone watches wrestling on Friday nights, and if you do, get a life. Seriously.

Hell, move it to Wed n make it LIVE! Who likes watching a taped show anyways?

Why was Earl Hebner contacted if he didn't interfere in Wrestlemania.. One has to wonder..

The whole SANTINO skit was awesome, huge pop in Buffalo Wild Wings.

I really would have wished that there would have been more *surprises* Maybe some interference by people of the past in matches and some crazy action like off the megatron.

It would have added to the perplexity.

In the end, I was happy with Wrestlemania, except for the DIVA MATCH. I think that putting Vicky Guerrero on there was a HUGE let down as non fans don't even want to watch that bitch talk or try to wrestle, much less real fans. We want Tits, Ass, and ACTION.

I thought fr a split second that Batista had his leg broke when Cena jumped off the toprope into that semi-botched Batista Bomb.

It just looked like he landed awkwardly on his leg. Batista popped up immediately but i expected his leg to be dangling around.

Who the FUCK really thinks that Cena's submission hold actually works? He's not even choking him.. LOL.. It doesn't even look real at all.. Is he trying to use his muscles on his arms to squeeze his neck like a pimple? Because I have no fucking idea how this is hurting any of his opponents. But I did enjoy the actual WRESTLING involved from this match which was definetly surprising.

The only thing I had a problem with, was when Bats caught Cena off the top rope again, but instead of hurting Cena after that, Cena just pops up like nothing happened and gets the STF. I mean come on where's the logic in that?

The DDT spot in the match scared the shit out of me. Cena was legitimately knocked loopy for a bit, I'm sure of that. But I thought he'd possibly gotten a concussion or broken his neck as well.

And don't get me started on the angle of Batista's shin during the STF, jesus

Would have been kind of ironic since the banned chair shot so there would be no concussions.

I thought this match was good. It wasn't great but neither of these guys are great in the ring. It was for sure the third best match of the night behind Michaels/Taker and Jericho/Edge. They did their job and put on a better match that at Summer Slam which is all one could ask. They were a bit sloppy but nothing that destroyed the feel of the match.

This match was great. I don't see what was so wrong with it. These guys pulled a great match out of their asses. Neither have been known to have great matches outside of working with immense talent (Cena/HBK, Batista/Taker).

They did a helluva job last night. I knew the STF was coming. The MASSIVE AA was great. Bats played off the bothed Bats bomb well. I don't what else to say. The entire match was built great and the booking and both Cena and Bats took what should've been a clunker and made it into a very, very deserving main event. This is how you are supposed to showcase your two top guys.

 Or they'd be bitching that the build to the match with Bats looking unstoppable was a waste because Cena lost, thus throwing away a month of great storytelling out the window.

I enjoyed Cena vs. Batista, definitely exceeded my expectations. On a side note, I realy dig Batista's new entrance where they shut the entry stage off and its totally dark in the arena and the spotlight just follows him to the ring, pretty cool. Batista has come a long way when it comes to confidence I think, you can just tell.

Wonder if Vladimir Kozlov ok'd the entrance because thats what they did with him before he started using music. It was just silence, dark and a spotlight followed him during his entrance. Joke & not funny.

Especially not in Norway, apparently.

I thought this match was OK, sloppy, dead crowd and Cena's CLEAR 'knee me in the back' instruction for Batista ruined it a little. But it was alright, the end was good. The start and middle average.

The crowd pretty much ruined the whole event for me. Seriously.

Thanks for your take.

I do not want to offend anyone's opinion or seem like an ass. It's just that I sincerely did not enjoy the match. I will admit that it got better, but I just never felt the flow. A second viewing may help, but watching the first time I could see through everything and it just didn't work for me. I didn't do that to any other match on the card.

I'll never understand how people can let something like entrances or announcing ruin a match for them.

Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

It's not just the announcing or entrances. But yes, I do feel that they can set a tone for a match.

Yeah, I kind of cringe when I think people are going to break a bone. Sorry for my concern. I just love the way people isolate on element of my dislikes of the match, and blow that up as the only reason. The DDT spot that looked like it almost broke Cena's neck again -- can I bring that up as something that made me uneasy?

By all means, guys, enjoy the match! I am happy you found enjoyment in it. But I'm not reversing my opinion because it wasn't the worst thing either man has ever done. I have enjoyed Batista and Cena matches in the past; I did not enjoy this.

I'd put Cena/Tista behind The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho vs. Edge, Triple H vs. Sheamus, Money in the Bank, and the Legacy Triple Threat (the hot crowd helped make it). Rey vs. Punk would have been up there if it had been given time.

I've been thinking for a while that they should consider doing a RAW or SmackDown! over here. What's great about Australia, despite not getting enough candy to make the baby fat, is that our cities are far enough away from each other to fill up some pretty good shows. Melbourne and Sydney would be the obvious choices for a RAW and SmackDown!; but you could fill up arenas in Brisbane and Perth no worries.
