Found this on another site. Now normally a release is a release, but the circumstances behind this is just hilarious.
TNA has reportedly released the Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) from the company.
The Nastys were recently involved in an "incident" at a TNA function with Spike TV executives present, according to Steve Wilton, webmaster of Honky Tonk Man's website, which did not please Spike.
The Nastys started with TNA on January 4 along with other former wrestling stars as part of the beginning of the Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff regime.
Caldwell's Analysis: This is what I had in mind when I said TNA needed to trim the roster in the Consequences Creed release story. According to Hulk Hogan, Spike is also not happy with the Wolfpack and he gave them three-to-four weeks left in TNA.

I wonder if they just ate all the food and then trashed the place. Then they'd really be living up their gimmick.

Nasty Boys could have been used as a supplemental tag team to add some depth to the tag division but not at the cost of having them go over teams who needed to be pushed more than what ended up happening booking wise.
Probably the best thing TNA and Spike are doing seeing as their roster got too huge for just 2 hours of tv per week (not counting replays or weeks with PPVs).

Gotta wonder what amount of time Spike may be giving Hogan/Bischoff, if ratings don't improve. Usually don't like networks getting involved, but Spike don't seem too bad about it. Things like forcing out The Nastys as well as maybe The Band, on top of helping pay for guys like Sting, aren't exactly things that hurt the company

I agree with what SM said above.
The Nastys could have provided some good tag matches and supplemented the division nicely, but it wasn't done correctly. They are also a liability - as is rumored here - as they are ALWAYS drinking and doing shit that is inappropriate.
I spent some time with them last year in Orlando at a convention appearance for them, and Brian was drinking at 9 am. So was I, but Brian has a little more trouble holding his alcohol than I do. By the afternoon, forget it.

So they dumped off Consequences Creed too? Hmmm is TNA doing their spring cleaning right before the WWE does theirs?

This is probably so TNA can sign the guys that are cleaned out by WWE.

Does TNA really have that much intrest in Jimmy Wang Yang, Slam Master J, and Chris Masters?
