Unlike other rookies, he seems to know his way around the ring, his moves look crisp and effective, and he has the background that would make it believeable for him to be able to hang out with main-eventers immediately. They just need to make him look like he isn't a fluke. A personality like that can generate heat if you give it time.

Haha, this is what I am thinking too. Would have been fucking sweet if Swagger had gone 2-0 defeating ten guys, two former World Champions at his first WrestleMania, and become World Heavyweight Champion.

I love Swagger. I am not going to complain. I think he's a great talent, and I look forward to seeing what he can do with the World Heavyweight Championship. This will probably turn into Jack Swagger vs. The Undertaker with Edge and Chris Jericho continuing their feud elsewhere; or a multi-man program featuring those sort of guys.

Another thing to consider: The draft. It's very possible that Chris Jericho will be moving to RAW or something, and they feel the need to get the World Heavyweight Title off him. Granted, there is another PPV before the draft, but yeah -- I'm sure there is a reason Swagger is your new World Heavyweight Champion.

Absolutely. Well, from an outsider's perspective, anyway. Sheamus obviously has the right attitude backstage and that sort of stuff. But it would have been so much better if Jack Swagger had been the one to beat Cena at TLC and become WWE Champion. It would have been an even smoother ride if Cena had retained the title up until Elimination Chamber, though, and they then did the Batista stuff.

But Swagger is someone I am intensely interested in seeing in the main event. The idea of Swagger facing anyone is really quite fresh to me right now: Swagger vs. Jericho, Swagger vs. Edge, Swagger vs. Mysterio, Swagger vs. Undertaker, Swagger vs. Hardy, Swagger vs. Kane, Swagger vs. Finlay -- it's all good. The way he has been booked recently also lends a vulnerability to his character. That so many are surprised he is World Heavyweight Champion is a huge indicator of that. The casual fan would buy into pretty much all those guys beating Swagger, and that can generate interest for his title matches.

Although the WWE can be a bit unruly with who they move sometimes, I think Swagger moving over to SmackDown! in the draft was a very easy prediction to make. I very much expect him to be with the blue brand very soon -- if not now.

I'd mark out if Theodore Long tried to make Swagger defend the World Heavyweight Title on SmackDown!, and Jackpot $wagger was all "I don't work for you," and then got in a car and sped off. This would all lead up to a point where Swagger got drafted to SmackDown! and was all "Shit..."

Jericho will be fine. He is selling an injury sustained by Edge (his first, even if it is in a kayfabe sense), which is only going to intensify their feud. They might move away from the World Heavyweight Title, which is actually fine with me, because their feud has legs on personal issues alone. Seriously, just let Edge and Jericho go at it in a Last Man Standing Match or something at Extreme Rules, and just show Swagger during the show kicking back in his own lockerroom, tossing back some grapes as he watches two men he screwed over destroy themselves. Swagger could even get involved in the end, and knock down both guys for the ten count, and just dance around like a retarded gorilla in the ring. I guarantee the heat for that would be off the charts.

The beginning of the show started with Chris jericho cutting a promo. Edge came out and beat him up which led to Edge spearing him. Edge wad leaving the ring when Jack Swagger knocked Edge down with the the MITB briefcase. Swagger then cashed in the MITB and beat Chris Jericho with his finisher

1. Jack Swagger defeated Chris Jericho to win the World Hvt. Championship. Swagger cashed in the MITB and beat Jericho with his finisher.

2. John Morrison and R-Truth beat Cryme Tyme. After the match, Cryme Tyme broke up.

3. Drew McIntyre beat Matt Hardy.

4. Dolph Ziggler defeated Great Khali.

C.M. Punk wants a rematch with Rey Mysterio. He is going to put his hair on the line against Mysterio, who must join the Straight Edge Society if he loses. Mysterio did not come out to accept. This is likely an Extreme Rules match, but it's unclear at this point.

5. Beth Phoenix and Tiffany beat Michelle McCool and Layla.

6. Kane vs. all eight members of NXT in an elimination tag match ended in a DQ. The finish came when all the NXT members jumped Kane at once.

Teddy Long announced that Edge will face Chris Jericho next week for a shot at Jack Swagger and the World Hvt. Championship.

If you think about it this was the perfect scenario and time for Christian to win the title. Edge and Chris Jericho, the two people he has most history with in the WWE in the title scene. On Smackdown too, because lets be realistic, Christian won't be the champion on RAW anytime soon (if ever).

I love it.... I am a Swagger supporter..... I also find it ironic how many of you piss and moan about WWE not making stars other than the likes of Cena, Orton, HHH, etc., yet when they finally give a push to a new face, everyone is in an outrage......

I have more love for Swagger than most, but there are so many upsides to this:

* Jack Swagger preyed on an injured Chris Jericho. He wasn't even in ring gear. Losing the World Heavyweight Title like this in no way hurts Chris Jericho, and actually gives him reasons to hate both Swagger and Edge even more.

* Although the fans would have popped for it, Christian winning the World Title via these methods might have made him look like a chicken-shit to some people. The crowd was happy to see Swagger cash in, it seems; but it's not like he won the title in a gruelling Iron Man Match. He's still got a lot to prove. Maybe the WWE didn't want to put another face in this situation? It backfired when they did it with CM Punk last year (I don't know if the plan was to always turn him heel, or they just rolled with the backlash against Punk for cashing in on Jeff Hardy). It wouldn't be the exact same result with Christian cashing in on a wounded heel -- but Christian wouldn't look like a world-beater, that's for sure.

* You could argue about building Swagger up, and that's fine. But from a pure kayfabe perspective, it makes sense Swagger would cash in when he had the chance like that. Money in the Bank can be used to set-up a big match (Cena vs. RVD), but what's the point in that? The whole gimmick is "whenever it suits me." It's perfect to create a new star with the surprise.

* To a mark, Swagger not being featured heavily does not matter. To us it might -- but I'm just happy the dude is getting his chance now. To a mark, Swagger is the World Heavyweight Champion. That is all that matters. We've seen guys come out of nowhere to win World Titles before, too. Not just Sheamus, either.

* The trigger needed to be pulled before Money in the Bank, where they will no doubt run the gimmick again. They needed to have the contract cashed in long before they promote the PPV. They have a few months, but the more time that passes, the fresher the concept will seem.

* Exciting developments like this keep people on their toes, and creates that "unpredictable" television that can keep people watching. I'm not saying shock for the hell of it, but MITB is something that allows shocks to make sense for shock's sake. And with TNA often taking the "shocks for ratings" approach a lot of the time, the WWE doing this sort of stuff is probably a good way to combat them, even if the WWE doesn't need to.

* It might be good for morale. We would probably receive an entirely different story to what the boys backstage know, but Swagger wasn't getting much air-time, and he wasn't winning all his matches, and he's essentially been "forgotten" until earlier this year. Swagger winning the title out of nowhere might make guys who feel like they've got no chance feel that there is a chance they could be rewarded for even one good night's work. Dolph Ziggler, who is often put in the same boat as Swagger, it seems, is probably feeling good about his chances again.

Swagger's feud with Tommy Dreamer was quite enjoyable. So was his series of matches with Christian. It didn't set the world on fire, but he and Evan Bourne could have done so much more, too. Everything on RAW sort of sucks.

And I disagree, to a point. I can understand people may not want the World Titles to be used that way, but when a guy wins the World Title, he is the top dog in kayfabe. Jack Swagger, right now, is the man. That's how casuals will perceive him. He will always be a "former World Heavyweight Champion." It solidifies his relevancy to the company a lot more. Sheamus has been doing fine since he won the WWE Title. He gets quite incredible heat, actually.

I dunno, I quite enjoyed Swagger's spots in Money in the Bank. That match was so rushed hardly anyone really "did much." Swagger pushing the ladder out from under Matt Hardy was cool, as was smashing the briefcase into Christian's face. And actually winning the match.

For me, Swagger losing would have made him a laughing stock. It could have led to great things, but I don't trust the WWE with that. I also don't think that Money in the Bank is something that warrants a guy losing. If he does, he'd need to announce ahead of time, and while that is admirable -- it's a pretty face thing to do. Swagger is a heel, and will probably stay that way for a while yet. It's cool if people don't like it, you're certainly entitled to your own opinion; but I don't think it's stupid or bad. It's great for Swagger, and that could be great for the company.
