I'm curious, how far would you guys travel for a concert? I'm not talking about some random concert, but someone you really want so see. What if it was the last chance you had to see them, would that make you willing to travel farther??? How much farther?
I'm asking because I'm thinking about driving 3 to 4 hours to a concert ( not counting traffic, and that's one way), and I'm curious to see if I'm crazy or not.

3 or 4 hours isnt too crazy. I think I'd go pretty far if it was my favorite bands last gig that I was able to see, but I'm not sure if I'd come back the same night. That much travelling would suck. Make a weekend of it or something.

Well, like you said, it depends on the band(s) you're going to see. I would be willing to travel just about any distance to see my favorite band. Especially if it was their last show.
But hey, no worries for me. The amphitheater is only about a 10 minute drive.

I've travelled for about 3 or 4 hours to get to a concert before. Mainly took that long cause we got lost in Manchester.
It was Tenacious D's only gig in England at that time, and I am, and my friends are, big fans :D

I would fly to Australia to see AC/DC, funds permitting.

If I could drive, I would probably go to big gigs if it was like one of the only dates in the UK or something.
I'm going up to the Manchester/Birmingham area (not sure which yet) predominantly just to see The Pixies, so thats what, 250 miles from where I live.

The only band I would have gone anywhere outside of my local area to see would have been Nirvana..who I saw in San Francisco in 93.

I'm thinking about driving to LA to see CoB, then seeing them again in SF. I will do that for NIN for sure.

As long as the drive is under an hour, i.e. in New Jersey or some shit.

I would travel pretty far, taking into consideration that it is their last performance

I don't have a car, so normally I'd just go as far as the transit around here could get me. That's usually not a problem, cause there are tons of venues near me.
If it was like the ULTIMATE concert though, with like 13254 bands that I love or something, I'd be willing to hop on a bus to go out of town, and maybe crash at a motel or something, if I had the cash

I have no clue. Probably as long as it was in Texas I would go to it. For me to go any place further they would need some serious big things going on there.

I'd go anywhere to see a band I really liked, especially if it was my last chance to see them. And, working for an Airline, it's a possibility.
