View Full Version : If Jeff Hardy comes back to WWE....
If Jeff comes back to WWE (and I do think it's a possibility) do they put him right in with Punk, right where they left off?
The only problem I see here is that the whole thing would pretty much have to revolve around the arrest when it comes to Punk's promos. Though the angle would be amazing, it doesn't seem like the greatest thing to be showcasing considering their stance on things.

It would be logical to do so I think. If Matt and Christain are feuding somehow, Jeff could get involved with that...maybe with Edge coming in?

The should have the Hardys reunite and help put over potentially good tag teams and eventually go up against the WGTT and E&C that would be great but it won't hapen.

Depends on what Punk is doing. The SES deal could be long gone & he could easily be face again by then.
In a perfect world he would return and refuel the Punk feud though.

If Punk is a face, Hardy should come back and team with him.
Honestly, even if Punk is a face, he's still be sXe, and it's be interesting if Hardy came back as a face and pretty much said "Hey, he's right, drugs screwed up my life, I'm better now." and then they teamed for a bit.
Then one of them could easily turn heel on the other later.

That would not be as hot though.

It depends who Punk is feuding with though too. IF Punk was in a main event feud, it'd push Hardy right into it. Plus, Punk could easily turn on him within a few weeks, basically using him for his help, then beating the crap out of him on principal. Hell, Hardy could help Punk win the title, Punk turns on Hardy, then the two could feud for the title, basically picking up where they left off.
It's really just a different twist on the same formula.

Dude, Hardy will never work as a heel.
He is too over for it to work. If he turns heel, people will cheer and boo the supposed face.
And for Punk to ever get a face reaction again, he will need to be absent for a long injury and return against a top heel

Or get a 30 day wellness suspension.....have the members of SES turn on him....and have him come out and beg for forgivness by saying that he now understands the pressures of every day life.
Honestly, that's a natural progression of the CM Punk character. Way down the line I expect him to "fall off the wagon" in the storylines. Just makes sense.

Punk could become a face again without too much of a problem. It's the same thing as Orton. They just need to have him be a heel people like (which a decent amount of people already d0), and find someone to turn him against.
Imagine for example if he went after Batista, but with the same gimmick he has now for the most part (minus the fan bashing), people would eat it up.

Oh so I see how it is. I write up a brilliant storyline and you come out and shoot it down as "duh thats natural progression." Your not taking my glory and credit away you pompous sunofabitch.
You came up with the wellness violation part.

If it helps, CM Punk will never not be straight edge as an on screen character and it wouldn't really work very well if he did.
Punk vs Hardy was the feud of last year and I think the WWE know it, they'd have to restart it. I can't imagine CM Punk turning face for a very long time, or if at all. He's better as a heel and everyone knows it.

Although i like being able to see Jeff again, I am still mad at him for joining TNA. He had such a great thing going in WWE. I mean he was world champion off and on until his departure...Just seems like a shitty time to leave and join the competition.
I know his reasons and I don't need them repeated.......I say if your going to take a break take a fucking break. Why work for the competition? Do you really think Vinny Mac is gonna let him walk back in and win the world championship back over night after the his actions??
Well probably because Jeff is money. But still I don't like the whole morals of the thing.

You have got to be kidding me. With everything surrounding this man, (serious drug charges and a shaky past) I don't think so.

Since Linda McMahon is running for Senate, you know this would come up at a Q&A for her. Her campaign can't afford any negativity at the moment, and if she wins, people talking of her company hiring a (more than likely will happen) convict, it would kill her career. So Jeff will not get another shot at WWE for awhile IMO.

i dont think Jeff is coning back anytime in the near future but all I'm saying is Jeff is that over and still has alot of matches still in him its very believable for him to have that kind of career. the only thing I could see severely hurting him is if he gets convicted and sent up the river then it wouldnt happen

I don't see Jeff coming back to the WWE ever again, or it will be a very very very longtime when he does.
I mean with his history with the WWE then leaving to take time off then quickly jumping ship to TNA, I don't see it happening.
He may very well be this generations Macho Man.

I am going with Matt Hardy's statement on this one saying that he is taking care of business but WILL be back. I like that better.
PS - WWE will take him back in a heartbeat.

If Randy Orton can make a face turn after what a dispicable heel he was for so long, anyone can eventually turn face.
That was just because Ted and Cody were so NOT over that they wanted Orton to squash them.

Punk becoming some sort of drunk/drug user kayfabe-wise is absolutely inevitable.
Only thing stopping it is if Punk vetoes it. In which case, he and his fans can say goodbye to his push unless he's built up enough supporters by then.

I hope we don't see alcoholic Punk. I would not mind more R-Truth/Raven instances where alcohol is poured onto Punk against his wishes; but I don't think the sXe thing should even be dropped.
Punk can and will turn face with the character, for the record. You can even see some signs now. At the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, I heard smatterings of "CM Punk!" chants. He'll be a cool heel, and the fans eventually get behind those. We're seeing it with Randy Orton now. Punk can turn face by legitimately trying to help someone in trouble, or just because the fans dictate it against another heel. Punk's WWE career has also been eerily similar to his ROH stint. As a result, I can see the "false turn" with Punk happening, too. The fans start to get behind him, and they think that Punk is going to turn face -- but then he re-affirms his heel status and rehashes the whole "I've always been a snake" promo.
When Jeff Hardy returns to the WWE (and I do believe it is a case of when), I think it would make the most sense to have him earn the immediate ire of CM Punk. The Straight-Edge Savior exild Jeff Hardy from the WWE; so Hardy returning is a big slap in the face to all Punk accomplished. The kid gloves should be off for their feud, and Punk should make fun of Jeff turning to drugs when Punk destroyed his career. Hardy responds by saying he did, but then he got clean just so he could re-sign with the WWE and kick Punk's ass. Jeffrey Nero would have to beat Punk to earn his way back into the WWE, and from there you could have The Hardyz vs. The SES.

If the SES is still going it'd make sense, and Punk being the badass heel would have no problem provoking the whole thing.
