View Full Version : Greatest wrestler to never hold a title in a major promotion

Xero

Who do you think is the greatest male wrestler never hold a title in a major promotion (who was in a major promotion)? This includes WCW, WWE, ECW, TNA, ROH and the NWA. Not one title, tag included.

The only exception I will make is the WWF Hardcore Championship. They can have held that as almost everyone below the main event held that in the WWF.

Jake the Snake Roberts

He was probably one of the top of my favorite wrestlers from that era, but then when I saw his addiction in Beyond The Mat I became very very sad, but that was that era and that's how some things went.

I mean how many people loved Motley Crue during the 80's but didn't know about their massive drug use backstage?

Did Rick Martel hold any titles? I'm thinking he did back in the AWA but no so sure. I'll rep your fucking brains out for some truth.

Damnit.

Ol Dirty Dastard
04-02-2010, 03:15 PM
Martel was underused as hell. I don't think he won the TV title btw he was supposed to forgot his gear or something, and then Booker won it. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's how it went down.

Pretty sure I remember seeing Martel with the title near the end of WCW.

If that is the case then I nominate Rick Martel for this.

Jakob Synn

how about vampiro, he was a decent enough wrestler and he had quite a push during wcw 2000

Supreme Olajuwon

The only person I can think of who didn't hold a title in WCW or WWF that's worth mentioning is Dusty Rhodes but he won titles in NWA so he doesn't count.

Schlomey
04-02-2010, 03:26 PM
Read Chris Jericho's book. I'll acccept his opinion on vampiro as fact because its fucking Chris Jericho. In that case I would not nominate Vampiro for anything more than being a toolbag.

He won some NWA titles.

What about Kanyon.

Schlomey
04-02-2010, 03:28 PM
Again, now we are just naming random mid carders who we know were not even really title worthy.

Finding the true "gems" will be a daunting task.

So , no, Kanyon is not the greatest of anything.

Hassan never got any sort of belt did he? Though I'm not sure his character would be able to take part in a "greatest" category due to its briefness.

Ummmmmmm this is a tough question. I think "World" title would be much easier cause you could squeeze Mr.Perfect and Scott Hall in there.

Also when you think about it, Arn Anderson never really won a SERIOUS TITLE that wasn't a tag team strap.

Yeah this would be easier narrowed down to World titles

I know Haas was only there for a short time I was going more on his ability as most on here agree that Haas was an extremely talented horribly misused wrestler but I suppose that statement could be attributed to a lot of WWE talent over the years.

Another thing you could add is just singles titles, because if it was just singles titles that wrestler hadn't won then you can add a lot of tag team partners that never got the same push as their partner.

Such as Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, I.R.S and Bam Bam Bigelow. I wanted to add Marty Janetty, but I realized he won an IC title in 1993
