I hope they go a surprising route, and instead of the Triple Threat at Extreme Rules between Jack Swagger, Chris Jericho and Edge; they have Jericho and Edge do something by themselves. I always thought a Last Man Standing Match would suit those men -- but Cena and Batista stole that one (I think an "I Quit" Match would flow from the submission outcome of their WrestleMania bout).
Next week, you could have Jack Swagger open the show with a promo, talking about how he doesn't know what's going on with his #1 Contender. Cue Chris Jericho, who talks about how the belt should be his; and then Edge, who says he is more determined than anyone to win it. Swagger then says they both lost, and he refuses to defend the title against losers. Theodore Long appears, and he says that he actually agrees with Swagger -- Edge and Jericho have too many issues to keep them focused, and it cost both men a shot at the World Heavyweight Title last week -- so at Extreme Rules they will face each other in a Falls Count Anywhere Match! Jericho is not too happy about that, Swagger is very happy about it, and Edge is taking it as it comes.
Swagger then says there is no one on SmackDown! worthy enough to challenge him for the World Heavyweight Title at Extreme Rules then. He asked Teddy for the night off, and says that these people and the people in *wherever Extreme Rules is* don't deserve to see him perform, anyway. Long then says he will find an opponent for Swagger at Extreme Rules. Swagger asks who there possibly could be when the lights go out, a gong sounds over the arena, and when they come back on, Swagger is in the ring with The Undertaker. Swagger slides out of the ring when he processes it, and Taker says that he ended the career of Shawn Michaels in the main event of WrestleMania -- and all this talk Swagger has been making about being the best pure competitor in the WWE in The Undertaker's yard is going to be his undoing. Taker announces that he will be Jack Swagger's Extreme Rules opponent, and Teddy Long goes ahead and confirms the match.
So at Extreme Rules we would have something like:
Extreme Rules Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Jack Swagger (c) vs. The Undertaker
Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship
John Cena (c) vs. Batista
Falls Count Anywhere Match
Chris Jericho vs. Edge
Tables Match
Triple H vs. Sheamus
Hardcore Match for the WWE Million Dollar Championship
Ted DiBiase (c) vs. Randy Orton
Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Matt Hardy
Tornado Tag Team Elimination Match for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship
Big Show & The Miz (c) vs. The Hart Dynasty vs. John Morrison & R-Truth vs. MVP & Kofi Kingston
Brooklyn Street Fight
Shad Gaspard vs. JTG
