WWE has posted a new classified ad on Variety, looking for a new Talent Payroll Coordinator. That position has been one Jim Ross has had for years.
Not what I wanted to hear!

That would suck if he was forced into an early retirement... If this is true WWE sure keeps it real with the loyalty factor...

When JR was on RAW, a lot of you guys WANTED him GONE. Now that you might have gotten your wish, you're complaining about that.

Yeah I remember that. I remember people being sick of Lawler and Ross on Raw.
Interesting...

I reeally hate how to TNA loyalty means nothing. I mean if the WWE does not re-sign Jim Ross then there's no doubt TNA will go after him to replace Mike Tenay who has been with the company for 8 years now. It's like TNA doesn't care about loyalty and people who have been working them for so long.
I mean it would be nice if TNA could have 3 announcers and one be a heel, but I don't see any of these guys being able to pull the heel role decently.

Talent Payroll Coordinator.
So would that mean I would have the power of controlling people's paychecks. Like I could cut Cena's pay in half because he would no-sell during his matches and doesn't deserve the $1,000,000+ he's getting paid. And kick HBK a couple grand a month for "royalties"?
Heyman would be amazing as a third heel.
He won't come in and it won't happen, just saying.

No, you just go to Vince for his bi-monthly BJA list and set accordingly.
"Blow Job Assessment", for the record.

Oh, so then no money is involved then. Then I'm not qualified.
Money is involved, you just set it according to positioning of the talent on the list.

I was just kidding, Xero.
Besides, I thought Jim Ross was V.P. of Talent Relations or something close to that.

I think he held the VP position until 2004. I remember reading that in passing (maybe in his blog).

i liked taz as a heel, tenay would probly be middle of the road, an jr would be babyface.

Doesn't JR have a few titles in WWE? Maybe he just wants to lighten his workload.

Nobody wants to see Tenay go. He was a favorite in WCW along with Shivone or w/e

It would really surprise me to see JR out of WWE.
JR ha just always screamed WWE to me as silly as it sounds. If WWE lets him go, it will be a big mistake regardless if he goes to TNA or not. If the man wants to keep doing his job and doing what he loves, then he should be able to do so.

What about Tazz? I'm sure he could be a dick if he wanted to.

Wouldn't be without precedent, but at this point it kind of does look like he's being put out to pasture.
Not a bad thing, either.

I admit that JR leaving wouldn't hurt my feelings..... I never was a huge fan of his and I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors....

So WWE is trying to fill a spot that Jim Ross had years ago... Anyone else think WWE just needs someone for that spot? Just a crazy idea that it's just a job, and not a sign.

On his Twitter feed (http://www.twitter.com/jrsbbq), Jim Ross made the following comments about his future:
"'More 'net inaccurate reporting. WWE advertising 4 a payroll mgr. That's NOT what I do. Hope 2 know new WWE assignment any day. Fri is D Day."
"Got an interesting reality show pitched 2 me this wk. Will have 2 make a decision soon. Fun, comedic action oriented concept. Non wrestling."
