Just NO.
Apparently it is impossibly for anyone to say NO to that smiling face.
Explain to me why russo has a job: GO.

Because he was the head writer for the best promotion during the business' biggest boom period and helped create some of the biggest stars wrestling has ever seen. Then he went to WCW and destroyed the company.
So I guess TNA was thinking the pattern must go Good, Bad... Good!

Maybe because not all he did in WCW was so bad .I'm not saying it was good by any means. In fact it was horrible most of the time . But they were still getting 2s and 3s( Exactly what RAW is getting now) so some people must have enjoyed it . You ever think maybe the higher ups in WCW cut his throat basically before he even got thier . Im so tired of the lets all hate Russo bullshit. Im not saying the man is perfect but WCW was dead and buried before he got thier . Hell after WCW crashed and burned who hired him back first . The almighty Vincent Kennedy Mchmahon . No he wasnt hired back as the head writer . But a writer none the less . The man gets alot of crap but how many of us could write a full script every week for Impact . I would say 70 to 75% of his shows have been tolerable to dam good . Its not our company to run if Dixie, Jeff and Hulk want to run it this way . So be it . You dont like it TURN THE DAM CHANNEL . Thiers my drunk rant

I'd rather it get good... but that's just my opinion on the matter. That said, this week's Impact was pretty decent.

He also looks like he could be a Terrorist.
He has a job because TNA believe that 'any publicity is good publicity', therefore giving the worst booker in history a job = people talking = RATINGS.
Of course, it isn't like that at all and TNA is just shit, plus nobody watches it, just to rub salt into the wounds.

And dropped, what, within a week? For coming up with such ridiculous suggestions as "let's turn The Rock gay". Russo at one time had his finger on the pulse, but by the time he arrived at WCW whatever redeeming creative qualities he once had were swallowed up by his arrogance.

He doesn't really bother me in the slightest. The trick with Russo is to make sure somebody filters out his worst ideas which in a writing team you realy should have anyway. I don't hold Russo responsible for WCW's death in the same sense that I don't think he's done anything bad in his time with TNA. Let's be honest, he's been there since inception except for a two year break, so eight out of ten years and TNA has rose from nothing to where it is today. If he's 'holding them back' or is a 'negative influence' it can't be that bad.

I agree. And I know what people are thinking. "But Kane, you magnificent specimen, you don't have a crystal ball and cannot possibly know where TNA would be without the input of Vince Russo. They could be selling out major arenas and winning the Monday Night Wars."
To which I respond, "I fail to see how that's relevant."

I want to take a second to explain my opinion of Russo. I don't think it's his fault WCW tanked. That happened because of many compounding problems. As far as the booker himself goes: His style fit in the attitude era. Any other time period it's felt out of place. I feel he takes the blame for alot of things that weren't entirely his fault, but at the same time he gets more credit than he deserves too.
Sadly, for better or worse, he and Eric are the only real bookers with pens in a major promotion right now. Lets just hope something good comes out of the two of them putting their heads together, and that they finally learn how to work together to book a decent show.... this time.
