Why didn't they let him go with this gimmick instead of being a dancing jackass? What do you guys think about WWE having Shad obliterate JTG in their rematch and then adopting more of a gimmick like this? Maybe give him a Goldberg esque win streak over the next few months before he decides to go after Taker. I think a program between he and Undertaker would be entertaining as hell to watch and establish him as a top star especially with Taker's guidance. They both have that boxing/ MMA style which I think they could play off of in a program. I feel like Shad has enough charisma to be able to capitalize and shine.

too little too late. We have already seen him beat and even squashed. This would have been cool if we didn't already know how little he is capable of.

Come on now Schlomey something like that has never stopped WWE. Hell, some people on here honestly believe Kane will get another main event run before he retires...

They do have the ability and history of repackaging people. Shad could definitely change his in-ring style to become more aggressive and violent and that could lead to a winning streak or at least a good feud.

I know it's been said a million times, but when it comes to repackaging, look at JBL. He went from pretty much the same position as Shad. A stale, going nowhere tag team. And he went from being repackaged, to the WWE title, to staying relevant until he retired....both times.
I know JBL had a lot more experience etc, but this is a very different time in the business. Guys with literally a couple of years experience are getting pushes and title runs.
No reason this guy can't do it, tbh. I'd buy it.

Also, in the past two games, I've turned Shad heel against JTG, and had him start a new NOD.
Now I'm not suggesting they do that, but I've wanted this to happen for a while, so I hope they don't mess it up.

I have a lot of respect for you Lord of Darkness so please don't take this the wrong way, but why in the hell do people want a new NOD? The Nation of Domination was great because it played off actual current events (the Million Man March, reemergence of the Nation of Islam, a resurgence of black pride movements). Now, the President is black, the Attorney General is black, and while there are still crazy nuts out there (anyone been to a Tea Party lately) racism is more latent than overt for the most part.
To stick all black wrestlers together and have them start bitching about the "Man" would be a waste of talent.

That's exactly what would make a new NOD a heel faction though.
Have Shad come up short in a title match, perhaps with a little controvesy (ref bump) and claim that he's being screwed and it's because he's black. We all know that's not the reason, he just won't see sense. He then twists situations with other black wrestlers to help him recruit to his new NOD.
Shelton Benjamin wouls have been a perfect fit for this as he could say he was being "held back".

Except the current events do work in a similar fashion. Though a Latino version would work better...Mexicools v2?

Do they have to come to the ring riding lawn mowers again?
I see what you guys are saying with the "held back while black" even though that's not the case heel gimmick. Not sure I want a whiny NOD though. That's like cheap heat. Attitude era NOD was bad ass though because it actually resonated with the fans and tapped into the fears of some. Blacks were really marching and some were pissed off. The whole I'm oppressed because I'm black has been played out on t.v. and in the media so much that it might not have the same impact with the crowd.
What Would Kevin Do?

I would rather have Shad be a thud than a NOD type character. Let him just be a vicious dude who takes what he wants, and does it by any means necessary. He doesn't have to do it for black price, or because the man is holding him down. He can do it simply because he wants to, because he can.

To be fair, I'd rather him do his 'Thugnificent' thing right now. I was just stating that I'd turned him heel in the SvR games by turning him against JTG and starting a NOD faction, by saying he was forced to portray a black stereotype, and that things like that are holding black people down etc.
More to the effect of the original concept of Muhammed Hassan, but for black people

They managed to turn Bradshaw from a tag team level face to WWE Champion with two months, a shave and a haircut. I think this could work.
Would I WANT it to work? Negative.

Any reason?
I mean pretty much anyone in WWE could be pushed as main event level, given the right push and/or change of character. It just has to be done right.

Look I understand sometimes creative holds you down, sometimes you don't get the right "opportunities" to get you over. But Cryme Time has been around the WWE for three or four years now I think, and I feel like Shad has had every opportunity to get over.
He hasn't done it. And you're right, pretty much anybody in WWE can be pushed as main event level if given the right circumstances. And part of Shad and JTG not GETTING over in the first place is likely due in part to the shitty condition of the tag division in general.
Regardless, he's been around a little too long and done not a whole lot. If you're gonna give someone the Swagger/Sheamus treatment, bring in some new blood I say.

And it worked out for Bradshaw BTW because APA was over big time.

I hope not. They should interrupt matches and replace stars, "doing the job Americans don't want to do."

It's not like they have years on Swagger. Cryme Tyme debuted and were fired ten months later for the Cade/ Murdock ref rape incident. That run was more of them doing stupid ass vignettes and barely wrestling. Neither one had a chance to even show what they could do. When did they return? The same year Swagger finally made it out of developmental.
