Fixed. I don't know why the one I posted didn't have that included.

Long time reader, first time poster. Just got back from the Smackdown/NXT/Superstars show.

The quick spoilers do not do the Jack Swagger segment justice. I've been to dozens of WWE in the past few years, including 10 shows in the last year, never have I seen a wrestler booed the way Jack Swagger was tonight.

The heat during his final promo was amazing. He could not get a word in. I was front row ringside and did not hear a word he said.

I don't know how it'll translate on television, but for over 10 minutes he tried to speak and could not due to overwhelming boos and "you suck" chants.

It didn't feel like genuine heel heat. Was definitely feeling like true "X-Pac Heat." Was so awesome.

Some other notes.

1. CM Punk was cheered by well over 50% of the fans. He cheers far outweighed his boos.

2. MVP got mostly boos and little reaction.

3. Pop for Big Show was HUGE at the end when he came out. He came around to a lot of fans at the end of the show, including me, and was truly an amazingly nice guy.

4. The crowd refused to let Edge turn heel on them. Christian got more boos in the segment when he was trying to convince the fans that Edge was a bad guy.

5. Every single person in my section were going nuts cheering The Miz during NXT.

Biggest Pops (in order)
1. Big Show
2. Rey Mysterio
3. The Hart Dynasty (Superstars)
4. Edge
5. CM Punk
6. The Miz

Biggest Heat
1. Jack Swagger
.. No one else even came remotely close as it was a VERY defiant crowd. Jericho and MVP got a mixed reaction. Jericho's was mostly cheers and MVP got mostly boos.

Sorry if my first post is a little unorganized. Been wanting to jump into discussions for years. I hope this was an interesting read. Will be happy to answer any questions. Truly the most defiant crowd I've seen in years.

Pretty excited about this Smackdown! On Raw we're getting Cena/Batista 3 and while I like both guys, I've just got no interest in seeing it a 3rd time. Smackdown just seems fresh. Not to mention the Edge/Christian interaction which I didn't think would happen after both ended up on different shows again.

I don't think the Edge/Christian interaction will go anywhere immediately. They had an altercation around this time last year as well.
Edge's plans seem to indicate a fued with Orton, or some involvement in the title picture on Raw, whereas Christian is probably just going to get his feet wet on Smackdown fueding with whatever heel they throw at him.
The soonest I see it happening would be later in the year, or early next year, if they decide to elevate Christian.

They're definitely teasing it though, which indicates some semblance of interest in booking the fued. The fact that they consider their history still a living plot thread, and important enough to tease in promos, means they're more than likely looking to pull the trigger on it eventually.
Whether or not it will be something for a world title remains to be seen, and is probably not as certain as fans would like it to be.

I really wouldn't be suprised to see it featured as a Wrestlemania match next year. Probably non-title, but a center-peice program on it's brand with a decent build.
Sort of like Jericho/Christian, Jeff/Matt, or Michaels/Jericho

Big Show as the top face on Smackdown? Edge turning heel this soon? MVP in a main event match?

anything can happen in the WWE!

I am more interested in the fact that Teddy long chose to personally introduce Kofi as the main SD draft pick, following which Kofi beat Jericho in what seems to be a great match. Waiting to see that one.

Yeah, but Kofi over Jericho I can picture. Probably made for a pretty good match.

Cody Rhodes is very young with a good work ethic and the rights amount of talent. He is also joining SmackDown! while Morrison is leaving RAW. I like JoMo more, but it makes perfect sense for Rhodes to go over there. Big Show being #1 Contender allows guys like Christian and Kofi Kingston to be built-up over time and serve as Swagger's next challengers for the World Heavyweight Title (although I can truthfully see Show winning, too; but that might just be the booking of Swagger).

MVP is someone that I really think could use a heel turn. More so than Edge, anyway. Edge is awesome as a heel, but it is just the same thing we've seen from him. I'd rather they actually tried to go somewhere with face Edge. Oh well. Heel MVP was awesome. Hayes will do his best to make face MVP, but we'll see.

I hope Kofi Kingston is approached by CM Punk about joining The Straight-Edge Society one day. That is a program I really want to see.

I just watched it, seemed a bit disjointed to me but since its the first show after the draft that's expected. Cody beating Morrison clean seemed a bit weird, oh and MVP is now using Shelton's finish.

Yeah, they got rid of whatever the PPV in May of last year was (pretty sure it wasn't Judgment Day at that point, but dunno for sure. Maybe it was tho...:-\) and replaced it with this new "Over The Limit". The announcers keep saying to stay tuned over the next few weeks to talk about what the concept will be, but so far I've heard nothing other than it's May 23rd and to be held @ the Joe in Detroit.

Same thoughts here. The 305? is the new pay dirt. I know it's weird having Cody beat Morrison but I actually thought they had a good match save for the slow part near the middle. I like that they have the new guy beat the one that's leaving the show though. It helps build the credibility of the new guy without destroying the other guy since he's leaving anyways. The same was done with Kofi and Jericho. Too bad Morrison and Jericho are the better wrestlers (I like them more) though.

I was surprised at the amount of heat Swagger was getting though, and also how much of a pop the big show got. It took less then a week for show to go face and get over with it.

The only thing missing from SD! right now is Shelton.
