i dont care for it anymore. it was diminishing in entertainment over the last year, and now it is just so mediocre. its not funny, its not exciting. to often are titles given to ppl for the hell of it (jack swagger, shaemus for examples) and arent earnt. i find myself not caring anymore! but i so want to care!
i cant see anyone stepping up either, austin, the rock, HBK, undertaker, all the stars we love and know have drained us. they are what we compare jack swagger, CM punk, john morrison etc. to. and frankly they just do not live up to the legends. nothing to do with them though. its the companies fault.
When guys like HBK and Austin won their first titles it didnt matter what came after it. they were legends before they won them. now we have ppl WINNING a title and STILL not being a legend. probably the BEST recent example of a wrestler doing the hard yards to be a champion was Jeff Hardy. he'd been there for a long time, done some amazing things. he already was a legend of the business. perhaps the WWE need to look at revamping their whole format. i know ppl on this forum have said for some time they jsut have not built some guys up properly, well its probably a year to late. HBK retiring signified the beginning of the end of an ERA for the WWE. now Only The Undertaker, and HHH are left that have that absolute legendary alure about them, and maybe John Cena can be thrown into that catergory (coz lets face it, he is arguably the greatest thing WWE has ever had; will make new thread to discuss this topic) and possibly edge and jericho.
But anyway, HHH can keep going for a while, but undertaker doesnt have long left. then who can we turn to? CM Punk? his awesome but not legendary. Randy Orton? lacks the punch. yet they are the next level.

Seriously, the next 1 or 2 years should be a complete rebuilding phase for WWE.
Work up Morrison, Punk, Dibase, Rhodes, Miz, Swagger, Shaemus.... but for gods sake dont give each one of them a belt and expect us to drool wen they come out! they are the future, but WWE need to make us love them. and atm only Punk is headed that way...

but its a valid point! everyone on these forums have stated how wrestling is no longer good!
im saying its going to get some what worse, but if WWE actually do things right, the next crop of stars can reach the echelon they need to reach and we can love it again :D

Totally valid point. It is such a relief to see wrestling fans who won't buy into the garbage they're trying to force feed us these days. I have been saying this for nearly ten years, as I saw times like this coming a mile away. I knew things were going to get rough once they started pushing guys like Batista, Cena, Orton, etc. I know they have been the most popular among the roster, but I honestly don't know what anyone sees in them. Maybe that's just me. What is really sad that is that no one is going to give TNA a chance as an alternative for various reasons, all of which I think are just bogus. There are just too many loyal WWF/E fans, and now they, like yourself, have becomes very disenchantned with the business. I'm still baffled that no one saw this coming a long time ago. Oh well.

They are pushing people like the Miz and others... But it takes time.. u don't push them too hard or they end up like Jack Swagger n Sheamus.. But giving the titles to these guys early, gets them STRONG heel resentment which is what the WWE wants. You bitching about these guys getting the titles early is what the WWE wanted. Your faces run out there day in, day out, yet never win. It's the underdog story... Except for Cena, cuz that motherfucker wins all the time and its old.. Just go to Hollywood, your a much better actor anyways.

I kind of see where he's going. They have titles on people that don't even get defended at pay per views, stale storylines, and a bunch of new guys who are pushed before the fans give a fuck about them. Making Swagger the heavyweight champ for me meant one more program I could care less about not because he doesn't have a promising future, but because he hasn't done anything of note in the present to make me want to watch him. Jericho, Rock, Edge, HHH, HBK, Cena, Batista, Orton, Mick, Bret, Taker, etc... didn't just have the strap thrown on them months after debuting. They were involved in programs and developed characters that slowly built them up in the eyes of the fans to the point where when they did win you cheered your ass off or booed like hell. Some chump cashing in a brief case on the company's self- designated "B-List" show isn't the same.
