I had bitcomet for a while, but it seemed a bit eh. Any recommendations?

Vuse or uTorrent
I use Vuze. Have used several others but I love Vuze.
Only problem with Vuze is that it's resource-hungry, but if you have sufficient RAM and aren't running a thousand programs at once you wouldn't notice a difference.
Otherwise, I've used ABC and Bittorrent without any issues before. These are pretty basic torrent clients but if that's all you're after then you can use these without worrying about dwindling resources.

Vuze is shit. Use uTorrent. There is absolutely no reason not to use uTorrent, because it does the same thing that other torrent programs do, only better and using less system resources. That right there is ALL you need to know pretty much.
Oh. Apparently Vuze is 'shit'.
Obviously over the last five years of me using Azureus/Vuze I didn't realise it, so you should use uTorrent.
