I love the Miz and I think he should be pushed to the moon. That said, I have noticed that he has a lot of hate directed towards him by a growing minority. So, to those haters I ask this...
Who, if not Miz, deserves his Awesome™ (http://www.wrestlingvalley.org/wp-content/uploads//5942/5942.jpg) push?
Who, how and why?
I still think the Miz deserves his push and is hella entertaining in and out (http://www.mikethemiz.com/index1.html) of the ring.
I was never really a Miz fan until he broke away from Morrison. Don't know why.
Honestly, I always saw Morrison as the one to skyrocket and Miz was the guy who was tagging along. But Miz is improving by leaps and bounds while Morrison has seemingly leveled off.
Yeah, just my two cents on Miz.

Have been and still am a much bigger fan of Morrison, though the Miz has certainly improved over time.

I'd still rather watch a Morrison match, but I'd much prefer a Miz segment. He deserves his push. He's earned it.

I've actually always liked The Miz, I've never actually hated him, especially from when he first started out and was labled "Poochie" by some people. I thought he was ok back then, but not great.
Though I've found myself liking him more and more, the more he's improved since beginning. Now, I love The Miz and I actually do think he's awesome.
Though I'm sure my avatar and usertitle is a bit of a giveaway. :p

Miz is a prime example of dumbness becoming entertaining. He was stupid and floundering until he joined Morrison, and they had a great run, and now he's a great stand alone. His "Really, really" bit is annoying, and not exactly in a good way. But everything else about his current presentation is a thousand times better than his debut singles run.

He's pretty terrible, but thanks for playing the home game.

So who, if not the Miz?
Pretty straight-forward question.

Miz/Jericho had to be the most obvious tandem for the writers to put together. If anyone can be a good example/foil for the Miz, it's heel Y2J.

Morrison as a face bores me. His matches are all too similar and his finisher is lame as shit. Cool to see. But totally lacks real impact.
Miz went from bottom of the barrel to funny to good to basically the best heel on RAW (pre draft statement).
His moveset is good and his matches always flow nicely. He is just as good in tag matches as he is in singles matches.
Basically, nobody deserves the push he is receiving but him. He is a goddamn work horse. Dude ran all 3 shows at one point while getting some cred and now that he is established, he isn't backing off..We can still basically see him on all 3 shows almost every week.
Basically, Miz is AWESOME.
Morrison is just ok.

If there were more people willing to work as hard as The Miz in the WWE right now at improving their game, it would be amazing. I started out not enjoying his character, but he grew on me as he progressed. He also seems the have the, "first one there, last one to leave" attitude going for him backstage.
I see only good things from him in the future

I know the WWE and long term booking don't really go together but I'd like to see them keep the WWE and WH title off of him for three years or so and let all the current up and comers pass him in terms of accolades so he really has something to chase after.

What's so bad about the 'really?' bit? It's not like he does it a billion times per promo or anything. I think it compliments his character very well, as in him being appalled that things are the way they are and not more in his favor.

I agree with this. Not to mention, it's a heat-getter, which is his job.
I hated the Miz when he first came in. Even when he teamed with Morrison, I was pretty "meh" to him. I found him to be annoying and unentertaining. Then he got drafted to Raw, changed his ring attire, and has completely built himself up to the point where he is by far my favorite heel on Raw.
His in ring work has jumped leaps and bounds since his initial debut. And when it comes to mic work, he's easily in the top tier. He's charasmatic, and plays the crowd to a tee. My only gripe was his finisher when he was basically using Jeff Jarrett's "Stroke", but now that he's fined tune to be a full nelson-reverse leg sweep manuever, it looks much better.
I'm lloking forward to his work with Jericho over the upcoming months. I think that this has the potential to really propel Miz to the upper mid card and possibly a title run within the next year. He's definately closer to reaching theat point than any other up-and-comer or veteran who have yet recieve a top title push. I'm willing to bet we see a Miz title run before Morrison, Kolfi, and maybe even Christian, all who are guys who have a decent enough chance at some point in the near future.

As I've stated before I thought Miz had the potential to be a great heel way back when he was back on Tough Enough in fact I though he should have won it. Granted he broke in to business as a jobber face and then redubted as a total pest which I never really dug until he teamed up with Morrison and started doing the Dirt Sheet. Then when he started to feud with Cena then MVP it was evident that he was a bonified future main eventer and hopefully future WWE Champion. The fact that he's teaming up again me is a sign that there biding their time for just the right moment for him to capatalize which very well could be as soon as tje MITB par per view. Have a sinking suspiscion that they are doing this in part to lead to an eventual Jericho face turn it will be interesting to see what team name they will come up with.

I've seen a few comparisons between Miz and Morrison on these forums. IMO, Morrison is better than The Miz in the ring, but The Miz is much better than Morrison on the mic. Basically, the difference between Miz and Morrison's mic work is much much bigger than the difference between their in-ring work.

I'm really into The Miz these days. When he first showed up, and they tried to get him over as a face, it didn't work. The whole "reality TV show guy" thing really got people on his bad side, I think. People just assumed because he was green and annoying that he always has and always will suck. He reminds me of The Rock in the way that he is finding out what works for him, running with it, and becoming one of the most purely entertaining entities in the entire company now, though.
He's really good in the ring. Working with Morrison, another guy who had a similar stigma (Tough Enough dude) was a good pairing. Not only was it entertaining, but it helped The Miz out in the ring, and it also served to "pay dues" when he was appearing on like all three shows. Triple H is now apparently a big supporter of him, as he just has the right attitude towards the business.
This pairing with Chris Jericho will be great for him. I mean, it's just a hunch, but when The Miz went from wearing his shorts to the trunks, I immediately thought of Chris Jericho and how Jericho changed his attire for the first time in years to really emphasise his change as a character. I picture The Miz really studying Chris Jericho on how to be a great heel. I think he will learn lots from him.
To be honest, though, I want to see The Miz drop the US Title. Maybe they're waiting for Daniel Bryan to win NXT, but right now, The Miz feels "too big" to be US Champion. Maybe not in a perfect world, but in an imperfect one, I think The Miz should drop the title in a competitive match with John Morrison, and then move permanently into his "super heel" role with Chris Jericho.

Now i KNOW he reminds me of the Rock because The Rock held the IC title for a looong time and it seemed like he defended it..whenver HE wanted.

I don't think Morrison is that much ahead of Miz at the moment. Though no fault of his own, Morrison is much more flashy in the offense department, while Miz is more straight forward. I think ring work wise, the Miz could hold his own. He may not be of the caliber Morrison is athletically, but he's in no way below him.
And adding to Noid's post, I too believe that the sooner Miz dropd the belt the better. I like that he talks himself up with it, but once the belt is off of him, he's going to be able to ascend to the next level.

Use Jericho's amazing heel powers to get him over as a face. I still will think he sucks, but at least he'll give the kids more merch to buy.
I love the Miz. But I can't see him as a future World Heavyweight Champion or a WWE Champion.

There have been times the "really" bit did drag into the billions. But even when it doesn't, it makes him sound like a high school girl, and that's a big distraction for me.

Don't keep me in suspense -- who's between Miz and Jericho???

I sure can. He's like Kurt Angle, Dah Wey. He's the guy that people love to hate. He's an obnoxious blow hard, and people will LOVE watching a hero chase him down and kick his ass.

You don't think he's being pushed like crazy by getting nearly a 3-month long reign with the Unified Tag Team titles and having currently held the U.S. Championship for over 7 months now? Granted he hasn't really even been forced to defend the U.S. title recently, possibly due to a lack of worthy successors, but still...

Ahem. No. I would love to see Miz defeat Cena clean for the World Title.
Will that happen? No. I'll deal though.

Oh damn, Thrilla. Nice one.
You know I love you, Afterlife, but I disagree with you on "Really? REALLY?" I don't know what it is about it, but I love it. It's just a little quirk he has, like Jericho has had his over the years. It's like Austin's "Eh-eh!" Just a thing he slips in to make his speech recogniseable, but at the same time doesn't really distract. I'd group it in the nature of Christian's "Because that's how I roll" catchphrase, in that it's just something so very simple that he adapted for himself, and adds to an obnoxious jackass persona.

I only ever really noticed The Miz's "Really?" thing after his "Really Exchange" with Sharon Osbourne on Raw. Unless that's when it started, but before then, I can't remember him saying it. :-\
