I looked and could not find a thread, so I thought I would make one.
I know the game is old but I bought it for $8 and I am happy to say I got a bargain, the game is very fun to play and has loads of replay value, perhaps just for being able to blow shit up over and over.
Anyone else play and enjoy it?
I bought it around release. Didn't give a shit about the Halo beta. I loved the shit out of it. It's a pretty awesome game and vastly underrated in my opinion.

Bought it on release and loved it. Remember wasting many hours looking for those damn green orbs.

Didn't love it, but it was pretty solid. I'm hoping CD2 will make a better impression on me.

Haven't touched it in a while, but need to finish it.
It was quite fun.

Yeah, for a while I was stuck on the final boss. I'd try my luck every once in a while, fail, get discouraged and play something else before finally going back to try again a few months down the road. I eventually was able to get my hands on like a sniper rifle or rocket launcher or something to take the motherfucker down, and then it was just a matter of clearing out the last remnants of the last gang. Haven't played it since.

I like jumping across rooftops really fast and tossing grenades over the side, rather satisfying.

I haven't even gotten that far. I was waiting specifically for my buddy to do co-op with, and then he lost interest in the game. Both of us got the game kind of later on, so it's not like I was waiting a huge amount of time, but still.
The only thing that gets tedious is orb hunting. Since there's not much story, it's easy to understand some of why it didn't sell as well as it could have. The new one is supposed to have more story, though I'm not sure I like the "zombies at night" thing or whatever in my Crackdown.

Yeah, Orb hunting is a real bitch. I think I have about 340 of the green agility spheres and I havent seen them very often now.
There is not much story, I like the freedom it gives you though. Keeps the game from getting too redundant when you can just go spin kick tractor trailer cabs down the highway :D

I wasnt aware about Crackdown 2, bought this in bargain bin as I played it at a mates house for a bit before but didnt know it was this good. The next one should be good as well.
Also like the cell shaded look.

Was fun, but no story plus orb hunting = dumped it as soon as I finished it.

Multiplayer with the weapons expansion was pretty sweet.

On the other hand, there's not much to do in it. There's, you know, killing people and orb hunting. Orb hunting tends to piss people off, and killing people can be done in Saints Row or GTA.
