I know he wasn't the greatest character in the WWE, but Finlay was a badass wrestler... Would'vr liked to have seen a better send off than this...

Though he’s still listed on the SmackDown! roster page on WWE.com, Finlay is no longer listed on the company’s depth chart as an active performer. As noted several weeks ago, the reason for this is because he’s not scheduled to wrestle any longer. Vince McMahon decreed removing Finlay from the talent roster because he felt he was ‘too old’ — 52 years old. He will however remain with the company as an agent.

That really blows... For his age, he was still a badass...

Yeah that was a stupid title...

Anyway, when I saw the Finlay vignettes in 2006, I thought he was going to flop big time. As it turns out, I was wrong and he had a great comeback run and worked well as both a heel and a face. I think when we look back, his run will be really underrated, but I really enjoyed it :y:

Whether or not WWE knows this, that remains to be seen.

Is it sad? Do you find it to be emotionally stimulating when this happens or were you just being facetious?

When you say you're here to "discuss wrestling" do you mean in a business manner or in a more laid back casual style of just standing around a water-cooler with a few friends and shooting the shit?

What I think would help is the dropping of the troll mannerisms. Don't get me wrong, they're effective if you want to cause disorder and piss people off. I'm just saying if you really want to talk about wrestling with the people of this forum you might want to just be yourself rather than this entity you have created.

Maybe, I could be wrong, you were met with hostility by some and reacted to that hostility with more hostility? If that's the case I definitely understand your confusion though I definitely think you let it get to you. My initial introduction to this forum (of people who I really enjoy interacting with) was eventful to say the least. However, I'm an adult with a wife and two kids, I've lost both my parents and I've seen more than my fair share of death and suffering. Next to that a few insults on the internet are a bit trivial, no?

My suggestion to you is this; if someone insulted you for no reason go ahead and stand up for yourself. For those people you have insulted that never did anything to you, apologize and move on. Lesson learned, you can now talk about wrestling with people you may grow to respect and like.

If you're a sock, well done. I no longer suspect you of not being a real person. Gut feeling says you're real.

It's those who decide to not talk about the topic and to instead take it out on me.

It doesn't matter to me to say the least. I understand it's the internet and theirs pathetic people out there just waiting to rag on others.

So I go on posting about wrestling just as I wanted to do when I joined the forum.

Whether or not I have a game that I'm playing, that is a possibility but it's those haters who actually fuel the game when I'm just trying to talk wrestling.

So in that case, if they do that, I can't stop them and I'll continue to talk wrestling.

If in the end, this gets Adam Evans some HEEL heat when he finally does show up in the Live Wrestling Industry, then good for the man.

Whether or not I'm considered legit, a fool, worthy, or a dumbass, I could careless as at the end of the day, I go on about my business as a normal young wrestling fan.

I like the thread creator so I am not going to rag on him so hard for his VERY POOR taste in wording this thread. I will stay on topic.

Does Finlay really deserve a grand send off? No. Does he deserve a final TV match and a 2 minute address afterwards. YES. Shit, Tara quit TNA and she got have her moment.

Fit has ALWAYS been a company man wherever he has been in his career. He is a classy man and is totally looked up to by the locker room (according to several stories over the years). I truly think that Finlay deserves one last TV match where he wins, waves to the fans & he gets his standing ovation.

His career has never been amazing but the fact that he ALWAYS has done what he could with what he had to work with and NEVER have I once read a backstage report where he was at the heart of some controversy...I'd say give him his moment.

In a business filled with back stabbing, ship jumping, future endeavoring & company slamming - the WWE should PRAISE and allow Fit his moment for ALWAYS being a true player.
