'Shad looked great, PPV was pretty decent.

Avoiding 115 though.

It was decent tonight. Not one of my favorite shows though.

Rampage/Evans was good. As soon as Evans got that first strike and take down, you knew Rampage was in trouble. Evans was all over him tonight. Rampage had that one 45 second "rampage" and I thought it was over there, but Rashad held on. I definately want to see another one.

The prelim fight they aired was actually pretty good. Lots of quick moves and fast paced action. Probably my 2nd favorite fight of the night to be honest.

Bisping/Miller was alright, but nothing really noteworthy.

I did like Nog/Brilz: This was really the only fight that had a decent ground/submission game from what I remember.

This was the 1st time I saw Duffee fight and dam this guy is thick. He's got those Crocop thighs. He got knocked the fuck out though. He was winning that fight until then.

Overall, ok show. Too much stand up and swinging for the fences for my liking. I like the ground game a lot more and I don't remembr seeing much.

I am happy. The ME Was won in training. Page isn't on Shad's level, right now. Two more fights, we'll see...
Nog should have walked out of the Octagon like this

Bisping was the fortunate benefactor of an opponent with a shitty gameplan
Duffe...

Other fights were pretty entertaining. I enjoyed this PPV. I will watch 115 but only for free.

Rashad was the one huffing and puffing because of all the moving around. Rampage looked the same since the start of the fight just a little more tired. He wasn't moving around much or doing much on the offensive side.

Rashad is faster and more technical but if there were 3 matches between these two I don't think Rashad could finish Rampage off. Rampage was so close. The biggest flaw in his gameplan is always wanting the KO and not trying to win any other way.

Looking at the past matches Rashad has had with Machida, Thiago and Rampage it looks like he is really susceptible to getting knocked out.

Overall it was kind of boring for me and not worth the hype at all. Rampage didn't do much and Rashad kept doing combos then going after his legs each time. Because he rarely took down Rampage this made things more boring and the crowd starting to boo.

Rampage was out of shape, he was so tired he couldn't even finish a semi-concious Evans when he had him pin on the ground, which the punch that knocked him down just grazed him, raising the question of Evans suspect chin.

I think once Rampage is back for a year, and has a fight or two a rematch would be a different story.

Also, once Rua touches Evans chin, it's lights out.

Rashad caught a knee I think, that's what messed him up. But yeah, that's 2 fights in a row now he could have been finished in the 3rd, I think Rua will handle him. I also think if Rampage wasn't so hellbent on finishing as soon as Rashad went down and picked his shots a little better, he'd have finished him.

He did hit rampages knee, it just sort of stop Evans in his tracks, it was a right upper cut or hook that just grazed Evans that put him down. Either that's a weak chin. Rampage did the right thing, he had a hurt oppenant down, and tried to finish him promptly, if he lands one of those rights on the ground, and Rampage is your winner, just didn't have anything in the tank to locate those punches.

See, here's what I don't get. Rampage said he was in the best shape he's EVER Been in. His camp was happy with his conditioning and the regimen they put him through. NOW AFTER HE LOSES, his wind is an issue? I can TOLERATE ring rust, he had a long layoff. But give Rashad his goddam due fellas. He beat page at his own game...talking shit and backing it up. Rampage wasn't out of breath 30 seconds into the fight when he almost got knocked out. If Rashad landed one extra punch the fight would have been over too.

I like Rampage, I like Rashad. But let's be real....Page did what Page does when he knows he's in a real fight...

He took his chain and went home.

Yeah Rampage got schooled in that fight no doubt about it. Thought the fight was good. It even had the old "one guy almost gets knocked out, then almost knocks the other guy out later on" thing. The better man definitely won.

Diego was disappointing. BJ has killed that kids career I believe.

Russow's KO on the terminator after being beat the whole fight was moment of the night for sure.

Enjoyed the Nogureia vs Brilz fight most. Had some standing, takedowns, near submissions from both guys, and a lot of scrambling on the ground. I Do think Brilz deserved that win though.

Melvin was pretty impressive in his fight. Did anyone catch that one footed knee he landed early in the fight? Was like wow that was a Frank Mir style knee, except he landed back on his foot instead of falling on his ass, and getting pounded like ground meat. Brutal fighter that kid is.

Bisping is annoying and always bores me in his fights. Unless of course someone is Hendersoning him or something.

Overall good show. Give it :y::y:

It is as Rogan (or maybe it was Goldberg) said about Melvin: "when the mental catches up to the physical, he will be a force in this sport (or something to that effect). Id have to agree.

I caught that. The Gem of the night came in the third round of the Brillz robery....

" This match is a credit to Sylvia and Brillz. It show what happens when a youngerster puts his balls in a wheelbarrow and steps to the cage'

Seriously what the fuck is Rogan on during these things? Greatness

Marvin has ALOT of fights. he should be showing that type of skill. Hes Peaked though. Guy is over 50 fights

IC Champion
05-31-2010, 09:19 PM
Hard to think a 27 year old has peaked, especially in MMA, where guys like Couture are still kickin.

Hanso Amore
05-31-2010, 09:21 PM
True. But 50 fights is ALOT of experience...How do you gain from there. Now nothing is out of the question. Im just some fuck tard on a keyboard. I just think hes going to always be a top 10 type, but never more than that.

Reavant
06-01-2010, 01:02 AM
he has trouble with striking because I can out strike him, but he is very effective if he can get his hands on you. I guess that says alot about duffee's footwork and strength considering he didnt get clinched up once with russow. Hes a cop full time so he eats late at night which is why he has a bad gut on top of having the same elbow surgery i had in like November but hes in great shape.

IC Champion
06-01-2010, 01:08 AM
Oh, I thought the whole eating late makes you fat was a myth.

But yeah, he didn't have the speed to shoot in and get a hold of Duffee I found. Good thing he head is made of Iron.

Reavant

well if you eat late before you go to bed, your body stores more calories instead of burning more of them.

try not eating past 7pm or 5-6 hours before you sleep for at least two weeks and you will lose weight

Krimzon7
06-01-2010, 05:49 AM
Interesting. Or you can try this nugget: Create a calorie deficit. it takes 3500 calories to make a pound of fat. SO WITH THAT SAID, try working out!

Not true. If you reduce the amount of calories you are eating to do this then yes, but you will not lose weight just by varying the time you eat at.

I was like what? ECG is an MMA fan? Then I get to his post and it's something health related.

That's pretty interesting since I like eating dinner after 9 pm :(.
