Like, I get that not every game is about a faceless character you can make up on the spot. There are Niko Bellics and John Marstons and such, but why not at least give us style options?
Granted, they should be genre appropriate. Marston in a Hawaiin shirt would be dumb. but especially in games where you can choose what you do, why not give some better options in terms of what your character's style is? Yes, GTAIV had some options, but they were pretty limited. It doesn't have to be Saints Row 2 (Or Smackdown v Raw) level, but it would take so little to offer more choices we could run with.
Probably preaching to the choir here, but I was thinking about it just now, and there's a lot of precedent these days.
