So, sounds like the NXT storyline will be staying on Raw for now (unless WWE drops the ball). Still could see them being the ones responsible for The Undertaker.

That's probably what it is. I don't see the value at all in yet another Kane/Taker feud

I think last week's win over MVP was one of only two wins Swagger's had since winning the belt. :o

More detailed spoilers:

This Friday’s Smackdown was taped last night at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. Below are the results.

Smackdown opens with a recap of last week’ show (Kane looking for Undertaker’s attacker(s) and Rey Mysterio winning the battle royal to take Taker’s spot in the World Heavyweight Championship match at Fatal Four Way).

It’s announced that Big Show will take on CM Punk and Rey Mysterio will take on World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger later tonight.

Rey Mysterio comes to the ring and cuts a promo on winning the battle royal last week. He is interrupted by Jack Swagger. The two jaw back and forth until CM Punk comes out. He mentions being attacked by the season one NXT rookies and claims he’ll be a four time straightedge champion after Fatal Four Way. Mysterio begs Punk to take his mask off, bringing out Big Show. Show promises he’ll be the new World Heavyweight Champion come Fatal Four Way while suggesting maybe Kane is the one who took out Undertaker.

Rey Mysterio defeats World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger via pin fall in a non-title match. After the match, Kane comes to the ring and lays out both Swagger and Mysterio.

Co-Women’s Champion Layla defeats Tiffany via pin fall after Michelle McCool distracted the referee.

Christian defeats Dolph Ziggler via pin fall. After the match, Ziggler slaps a sleeper hold on Christian much to the glee of Vickie Guerrero, who was at ringside.

Kane is shown standing over a casket with dead roses on top, gulp.

Drew McIntyre comes to the ring and calls out Teddy Long. He cries about having to wrestle Matt Hardy on Raw, leading him to get in Long’s face. Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston comes to the ring, leading to brawl between himself and McIntyre.

Teddy Long is on the phone in his office when Drew McIntyre storms in. He says next week it will be Long vs. McIntyre and if Long loses, he will be fired, per Mr. McMahon.

Big Show defeats CM Punk via DQ when the masked Straight Edge Society member hits the ring and attacks Big Show. Kane then comes to the ring, laying out the entire S.E.S. before choke slamming Show to end the telecast.

In the dark match main event, Big Show and Rey Mysterio defeat World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger and CM Punk in a steel cage match.

Seems very likely as I'm sure the WWE wants to do one last Kane/Taker fued before they both call it quits.

I can't justify Teddy Long winning next week. I just don't see them "firing" him in kayfabe, so I'm sure there will be outside interference/distraction from Kofi/MVP/Matt Hardy. This whole thing with McIntyre kind of bothers me to begin with. They bring the guy in with the thought of pushing him to the moon and now his push seems to have lapsed into fighting an overweight Matt Hardy, and a guy who used to be a referee. They could do so much better than this. What's Masters up to these days? Let's see a fued between those 2.

I'm loving it. Reminds me of the old days of Kane just comming out and attacking random people.

I believe since winning the belt he has gone over Morrison (twice), Orton, MVP and won a triple threat against Edge and Jericho. He does seem to have lost a lot more than he's won :o

I really like what Kane's been up to lately. It's a cross between the old psychotic Kane and the current more human one. I'm sure in the end it will be Kane as the attacker, I have no idea how that can make any sense, but I would really like it to be the NXT guys and it leads to the old guard of the WWE (Taker, Kane, HHH, maybe Bret Hart, maybe HBK, of course Cena) taking on the rookies.

Is this the last week for Archer/Hawkins to "make an impact"? Either way, I can see them helping out Teddy in his match next week.

Yeah there is no way McIntyre is going to beat Long because there is no way, NO WAY, WWE will change the GM of Smackdown. Long is set for life in that role, I mean they dont have any replacement for him. Vickie will not be given that spot again cuz its been done!

I wouldn't be so sure. Although Teddy's proven he can handle his business just as well in the ring as in the office...
