OK, just found something which comes off as a pretty stupid flaw, unless I'm doing something terribly wrong.

Can you not put one wrestler in more than 1 tag team or stable?! I'm trying to make ShowMiz, but I've only just made JeriShow. So when I go to select members for ShowMiz, the Big Show isn't on the list.

I mean, I see why they'd do it. So that JeriShow couldn't be contenders for ShowMiz' tag titles or something. But, it creates a hindrance that didn't exist before.

I tried to put my CAW in a second stable with my CAW diva, but because he's tag champs with Sheamus it wont let me, and keeps kicking any other members out of the stable, so as a result my tag teams entrance made Billy & Chuck look like the most hetero team ever till i noticed, :nono:

Weird shit happened last night. Was playing Cena vs a created David Otunga in Universe. Then Wade Barret runs out so I thought, ok, sure. But then Barret enters the ring and attacks Otunga and walks out! It's like the game knows Barret and Otunga are at each other in the real WWE. Weird.

One ting I noticed is that downloaded CAWs go immediately into the title picture while your actual CAW has to work his way up.

Yeah, my downloaded Kevin Nash was champion, while Jeff Hardy is ranked 4 after a year of simming. John Cena has been knocked down to ranked 7 for the US title somehow.

My CAW wasn't ranked at all, but luckily I won MITB and cashed in the same night against HHH. But had to wait til I defended it inside HIAC at Backlash against Nash and Michaels to get the championship achievements.

Love Universe mode btw. Still got Reys RTWM to do. And really want to play around with story designer, because I have a few in mind. But I've fallen into the Universe trap, and can't get out.

Well the game seems to automatically change peoples alignments. On my save, I had Mark Henry fight Evan Bourne a whole lot (and win) and now Mark Henry gets boos rather than cheers. On my brothers save, however, he hasn't really played much and Mark Henry still gets cheered on his. Neither of us have messed with the alignments.

I had a weird glitch last week sometime. In a ladder match, my CAW set the ladder up infront of the commentery tables and climbed the ladder. He went to perform a splash on the Miz who was standing at the time. When my CAW hit the ground, the ladder flipped forward into the crowd with a quadruple somersault through the air.

There are other weird things going on like Cole talking about interference like it's a legal tag partner. Jerry called Evan Bourne "Orton" through most of one of his matches and the referee refusing to count the pin because there is interference at ring side. The interferer isnt even on the apron or even near the area where he will climb the apron yet but the ref still waddles over to that spot and starts his own animation while interference waddles around the ring to that specific spot to start their own animation.

It's also a pain trying to get your wrestler to focus on the guy interfering.

That keeps happening to DX on mine. They barely fight, but the stable keeps breaking up because they're both after the title.


Also, saying about weapon glitches. I threw someone onto the steps in a HIAC match, and the steps bounced up to the roof of the cell, and kind of got stuck in the mesh. I went up and tried to pick it up, but it wouldn't work. Too bad, because weapons on top of the cell = win.

Had CPU vs CPU in a submission match and every time one of them got the other in a submission they released it straight away.

Superstars is now ECW, I change to the ECW arena on the match select and have a dedicated roster fighting for the ECW title. I hope we get the Nitro Arena soon so I can turn Raw into WCW!

Ended up winning after he knocked me into the ropes, ran at me to clothesline me out and I reversed it into a back body drop over the ropes :cool:

It basically sets up cards for RAW, SD, Superstars and PPVs and puts little storyline elements into them like attacks that lead to other matches and there are rankings for all the titles and I believe overall. You can play any of the matches in any order on any card, simulate the matches, create your own match (though you can't go for/defend titles if you do), or skip them all together. And you can skip to specific shows and it will be simulated up to that point. I look at it as "Exhibition Plus".

An example that just happened to me was I played HBK vs Sheamus (me) and Triple H attacked HBK mid-match. The next week the RAW main event was Triple H vs Shawn Michaels.

Though one thing I find really broken about it is that there almost always seems to be someone pulling double duty, especially on PPVs. I think Taker wrestled three times on one PPV.

Just had my first full Universe Rumble. Won with my CAW. Final four were Shad, Tatsu, The Rock and me. Vince entered at #28 and I vowed that if it came down to me and him, I'd take the elimination and have Vince win the title at Mania. But I accidentally helped eliminate him.

Also, does anyone else get that random "woosh"/jet engine sound? Does that signify anything? It seems to happen after moves but there isn't any obvious thing it signifies (like a signature gain).

Just finished Jericho's RTWM, I agree about the ending being weak.

I thought Kofi was going to cash in the MITB briefcase after Jericho got hit with the Doomsday Device. Seemed like he was going to do something since he was backstage talking about it for the last few weeks and he never even tried to get the US title back. Santino was great though.

Maybe it's just me, after reading about how cheap the Undertaker was in his story I expected a real battle, but I had a much harder time beating HHH in Jericho's RTWM than I did the Undertaker. It seemed like everything I read about the Undertaker happened with Hunter instead. :lol:

I kind of liked Jericho's ending though, in a way a little lackluster, but it seemed fitting.

For those who dont know the achievement....you have to perform 1004 Signature/Finishers in ONE SITTING....no turn offs...no exiting to dashboard... Just one sitting.

Fastest I have read someone getting it was in a hour and a half.

I'm taking my first stab at universe mode and now I'm certain that THQ hired the TNA writing staff as the head programmers of this awesome but flawed mode, Ive got this blood feud going between Stone Cold and CM Punk(with Mike Knox as added muscle there's no way two beards that awesome wouldn't ever hang out,Fuck Luke
Gallows) so anyway in addition to this I'm Building up my CAWS to be the stars of the future and literally out of nowhere (nowhere being the RTWM ) Snuka,Roberts, and Funk just Hijack my game and they are now on every fucking show. Dragon and Bret have been pretty benign tho. so Ive put the a fore mentioned old men in a stable called Geritolholics Anonymous and locked them in a feud with Kofi and DB Danielson


Point is only TNAs fly by night booking could make Vance Archer the WWE champ (yes you heard me) and make a bunch of dudes who should be arthritic and complaining about their applesauce the top contenders for most of the titles.

I do love this mode but seeing what they've done to Archer I'm too afraid to create X-pac.

I play every match and unpredictability is definitely still a factor. See: Primo's rise to the US Title, an R-Truth heel turn, and Rey and Undertaker forming a full-time tag team.

Do you guys play every Universe match or just sim the ones your wrestler isn't involved in? I found that simming too much get's you really strange tag teams popping up. I'm thinking I should control every match so that things don't get too out of hand, but then I lose the unpredictability factor.

I simmed through 4 or 5 years to get a CAW into the MITB after playing through 2 or 3 years, went to play a 6man tag and my main CAW is set as a tag team with Edge, complete with joint entrance. I also have Snuka and Shelton Benjamin as tag champs and Tatsu as WHC. Its like Noid and TNA had a baby:shifty:

If your CAW was actually in the MITB you just have to select the next match with a tiltle holder in to get the cash in option, if you replaced someone else to get him in it then you wasted 20mins of your life:'( but you get the ahievement for winning MITB at least.

Santino & Kozlov actually formed a team on their own in my Universe, they have won the belts, lost them and broke up already because Kozlov keeps getting pushed for the US title. Think I'm going to ship all the main tag teams off to Smackdown or something and see if that helps.

Also, I actually made it into an online rumble, all but two others quit as soon as their first guy got tossed out. Came down to DH Smith vs JTG at the end and it took longer to eliminate JTG than the actual rumble, couldnt eliminate each other for shit so I figured might aswell charge a finisher and that did the trick.

The ranking systems weird, think someone said in an early post CAWS seem to rise up the rankings quicker, downloaded Fignuts Psicosis CAW and he's been dominating smackdown ever since.

The Unified tag titles are bothering me, I'm going to put them on 2 free agents and never touch them again, and instead use the singular WWE tag titles.

Also it means I have full control over the tag division, and if I want to I can give Smackdown their own set of tag titles again. Hopefully Universe will play ball and not keep booking the double belts.

Edit- Balls, Universe won't let me put the titles on free agents, they have to be on either Raw or Smackdown.

I don't get why you can't have belts in regular entrances. I'm sure clipping would be an issue for certain animation, but really, I'd rather have clipping while my CAW is wearing his belt than having one of maybe 10 canned animation.

I wouldn't even care if I couldn't put it over the shoulder, since that obviously restricts a lot of thing, but no huge reason not to be around the waist that I can see.

Beat the Undertaker with a flying chuck roughly 2 mins into the match in his RTWM, without hitting a finisher or anything. Much easier than the HHH, Swagger and Orton matches. :wtf:

There are some amazing CAW's around though so if you can get some life out of those or enjoy making your own like Fignuts there's some longevity there.

I suspect the two locked titles I haven't unlocked have something to do with accomplishing a task in Universe that I'm not aware of. But if anyone could help, that would be great.

I've not be posting in this thread for a while, mostly because I want to avoid spoilers.

But I'm having a problem during Jericho's RTWM.

For some reason, starting from about Week 5 (I think that's when I took out The Big Show backstage)
whenever I run during matches, I seem to become really fatigued really quickly and then for the remainder of the match, I run extremely slowly and stagger when I walk. It's really frustrating.

I've tried to use my SP Points but that doesn't seem to make any difference at all. :-\

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Also, during the Elimination Chamber Match and Triple H's rematch against me the next night, his grunts and groans were actually the women's sound effects. :wtf:

The commentary for Natalya is awful. Lawler apparently only has 1 line for her, something about a former girlfriend having a redhead but no hair, and he repeats it 4 or 5 times a match.

Also, Cole's commentary for Edge. When I hit my opponent with my signature move, I hear Cole saying "Edge", but right after that, I like to do my finishing move, but when I do, I hear Cole saying "Edge" again, it's the same recording. So my matches with Edge always have Cole saying "Edge....Edge".

I've just had one of the weirdest, most "WTF" matches I've had on a SvR game.

I was playing WWE Universe Mode and I played a Mixed Tag Team Match but I changed the participants to my CAW and Natalya vs Sheamus and Alicia Fox.

During the match, Alicia goes to tag Sheamus but then the match stops and I see Sheamus walking out on her, leaving her on her own. The match then resumes but Alicia then goes on the apron like she is now not the legal man/woman as she is now waiting to be tagged in, but my CAW accidently hits Alicia, which then doesn't DQ me, but instead, eliminates my CAW and he leaves the ring but then begins to constantly walk into the ring, so now, I have him outside, walking on the spot towards the ring. It wasn't elimination rules.

The camera then focuses on Natalya on the apron, like she is the only person in the match. I enter the ring and walk over to Alicia and throw her into the ring and begin to hit her. I place a Sharpshooter on her and nothing happens. I try to pin her but I can't as she's not the legal man/woman.

I then try to get a countout, but the referee doesn't start a count, so now I know that neither of the woman are legal, but then, I try my luck and hit her and the referee with a chair, to see if I'd be DQ'd. I wasn't. But after I did hit Alicia with a chair, Natalya's breasts began to jiggle constantly. I saved the jiggling on The Highlight Reel, I'm most likely going to upload it on YouTube or something. :shifty:

But I just had to restart the match because there was no way that the match could have ended.

Plus all the Universe street clothes take up a lot of room too.

You have the option in game to freely move people to other rosters as well as take them off them completely by making them free agents.

The DLC is just premium content that didn't make it on the disc, but they'll be releasing it this month and it will include Barrett, Gabriel, Otunga, Layla, and add 2 more legends (Bulldog and Luger) to the game.

It's not so much roster updates as it is just being able to make the moves needed to make your rosters look like the real rosters. Downloading CAW's off the marketplace helps make it that much more accurate if you want to go that far.

Only guys I don't have downloaded and on my rosters are Tarver, Young, The Uso's, Sheffield, Khali, Tamina, Hawkins, Mercury, Rosa, Baretta, and Reks.

If this isn't what you were asking then forgive me LC.

What? They need to change that shit then. KOC has like 150 wrestlers, maybe more, and each one has four different attires, which you can edit EVERYTHING. You can literally make each attire a completely different character if you want.

If a PS2 game can handle such a feat, than SvR should be able to handle a few extra attires, ffs.

On topic, creating a female entrance is terrible in this game. Of all the female entrance parts, all but one is a sexy entrance. The other being Gail Kims "jog to the ring, high fiving everyone". What if I want to make a female CAW that isn't a total bimbo?

I just simulated all my RAW, Superstars and Smackdowns, just so I can play the PPV to unlock the arenas. Now that I've done that, I'm thinking about doing the sim fed thing

I love the gamplay much better. I used to be all about the original gameplay (non analog stick) but gave it a try for 2008, and like the analog version way better. Although, it's too easy getting pinfall victories after executing 3-4 moves. I'm all offence

Yeah you have to crank it up to legend for any kind of a challenge. One finisher usually means a guaranteed 3 count if you pin them straight after on normal mode, it comes in handy in Universe if you're guy starts the match with a finisher cause you can run through the shows quicker.

I am reading on here some of the storylines you guys are having and love some, specifically the fact you have ECW and WCW taking the place of the Superstars show. Are you able to unlock these abilities as you continue to play? Or is this something you need to do in the story editor?

Another question I have is if you can move guys to an ECW roster on WWE Universe, and essentially have them compete against each other in lieu of the other two shows.

Third is, is there a science as to how you unlock wrestlers? I probably have about ten hours of game time in, have gotten up to Wrestlemania with Christian in RTWM, and the Bragging Rights PPV in Universe, but have only unlocked Kozlov and Finlay. Does it really go this slow?

Lastly is, why is it you can't take HBK off the active rosters? For every superstar, you can move them into Legends or ECW etc, but the message I get for HBK is "your team player can only be moved to Raw or Smackdown." Why is this??

Have been playing the game for about two weeks. And love it! The CAW on here to me is some of the most fun in a wrestling game since the N64 WWF Wrestlemania 2000 days.

Either because he and HHH are the tag champs and you have to take the titles from them, or because DX is a team and you have to break the team up first.
