You pretty much nailed it already except for listing LeClair  :
Gretzky and Lemieux are clearly the top 2, but the 3rd top center is difficult due to the number of awesome players.
Center - Gretzky, Lemieux, Yzerman (or either of Messier, Francis, and Sakic)
Left Wing - Robitaille, Shanahan, Bobby Hull (or Kariya, Gary Roberts, Rod Brind'Amour, honourable mention to Kevin Stevens who was great for a couple years due to Lemieux)
Right Wing - Howe, Richard, Bossy (or LaFleur, Gartner (not Gertner), honourable mention : Brett Hull & Jagr)
Defense - Orr, Bourque, Coffey (honourable mention to Larry Murphy, Al MacInnis)
Goaltender -Brodeur, Roy, Hasek
Many great right wingers too, seems like so many "All-Star" players are centers and right wingers.

Yeah, the top 1-2 are a bit easy, after that its difficult.

Center - Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Mark Messier (honorable mentions to Yzerman, Esposito and Beliveau)
Left Wing - Bobby Hull, Luc Robitaille, Alexander Ovechkin (honestly, I think he's already top three. The only argument against him would be that he hasn't won a cup, but he's 99.9% gonna win it eventually. Looking at his stats and achievements so early on is remarkable. although LW is the least talent stacked position by far)
Right Wing - Gordie Howe, Rocket Richard, Mike Bossy
Defense - Bobby Orr, Doug Harvey, Ray Bourque (Potvin a close 4th)
Goaltender - Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur, Jacques Plante
FA, Kariya and Leclair over Bobby Hull? You crazy bro! Bobby Hull may be a crazy racist these days but he is the best left winger. Also I think Ovechkin will be considered the greatest left winger of all-time by the time he retires.

Center: Gretzky, Lemieux and Yzerman.
Left Wing: Hull, Frank Mahovlich and Robatille
Right Wing: Maurice Richard, Bossy, Howe
Defenceman: Orr, Harvey, Lidstrom. How nobody mentioned Lidstrom yet is beyond me.
Goalie: Brodeur, Roy, and I'm torn between Sawchuk and Hasek.

Kage, your list is horrible. Paul Coffey was horribly one dimensional. Brind'Amour is going to even struggle to get in the HOF.Rob the bod was a center by the way.
Again, no love for Lidstrom. Probably the 2nd best d man ever.

If hasek isnt in your top 3 goalies you are fucking insane. he is the greatest goalie to ever play. No disrespect to Roy, who is number 2, but I dont even think it is close.
Roy won more cups, with better teams (The fucking late 90s sabres would have finished last without hasek) but he cannot match Hasek on any level in solo stats or awards.
6 Vezinas. 6. That is insane. He was the most dominant Goalie of our lifetimes.

Imagine if he has come to the NHL when he was younger too....

Hasek was not better than Brodeur.
I think at his peak, Hasek was the most dominant goalie in the modern era of hockey.

Brodeur is not even on Roys level, let alone Hasek. Brodeur can thank his Trap defense and championship caliber teams for his accomplishments.

Hardly. Brodeur has won while losing Rafalski, Stevens, and Niedermayer on his defence. The teams that Roy played on were VASTLY better than Brodeur's. Name one Hall of Fame forward that Brodeur won with. Roy won with the likes of Sakic and Forsberg. Brodeur won with the likes of Langenbrunner and Sergei Brylin.

Roy had two bigger names, but lets not pretend that Brodeur has ever had a true lack of offensive punch.
Lets look at the offensive powers Brodeur had.
Alexander Mogilny
Scott Gomez
Patrik Elias
Petr Sykora
Bill Guerin
THose are just the guys who were top notch at the time and racking up good numbers. He had big names like Joe Nieuwendyk and Langebrunner too. So lets not pretend that the Devils have gotten by with sub par talent. THey are TOP teams.
If you want to play that game though, all it does is show Haseks dominance. He won 6 Vezinas and went to an Eastern finals and an NHL finals with Miro Satan as his BEST offensive player, and a shit defense.

look at that roster and tell me they deserved to be anywhere near a final.
I hate Hasek for the way he left town, but there is no denying he is the best player in sabres history, and the best goalie to ever play.

I'm not saying Brodeur didn't have much, he just didn't have a better collection of players in front of him than Roy did.

Hmmm...Perhaps. Ill have to take a look at the Montreal Cup teams.

The 92-93 Habs had 4 30 goal scorers and had a terrific defence led by Desjardins and Schneider.

His 85-86 team had Chelios, Robinson, Naslund, Bobby Smith. Their defence was fantastic that year.

Naslund was a left winger btw and was usually paired up with Carbonneau a great duo they were.

I'm sorry, Ovechkin is a great player, but putting anyone who is only a few years into their career on a "best ever" list doesn't work. For all any of us know, Ovechkin, Crosby, Malkin, Richards, Stamkos or any other younger player we root for could have awful seasons from here on out.

And for shame for only one of you giving Mr. Assist Ron Francis a mention.
Gertner

Francis was great, but not Gretzky, Mario, Yzerman, Beliveau great.
