I could have sworn there was a topic on this.

Anyway, I want to get a new TV this summer. Probly LED. And I might even splurge for 3D.

Does anyone have any 3D TVs? Can they reccomend any? I know these are first gen model out for the most part but I think the technology will hold up. Am I wrong?

I'd probably get one in the Sony HX900 series judging by reviews. And as someone who thinks Sony is a badge more than a mark of quality these days, the praise they are getting is insane.

My dad just bought a 73" Mitsubishi 3D TV...

It's nice, but no way of trying out the 3D quite yet.

* Sony Bravia XBR-52HX909: 52-inch (June, $4,000 MSRP)
* Sony Bravia XBR-46HX909: 46-inch (June, $3,500 MSRP)

Those new Porsches look nice too Hasney. I'd probably get one in the Porsche GFY69 series judging by reviews. And as someone who thinks Porsche is a badge more than a mark of quality these days, the praise they are getting is insane.

I can't fit that in my mother's basement.

My buddy runs a franchise Brick store. I could ask him, since he's been selling a ton of them lately.

3D tvs are still years away from being practical. i wouldn't waste the money just yet. LED tvs are nice tho

What about 3D LEDs?

Is that a push?

make sure you buy the $75 hdmi cables they offer along with a $150 surge protector.

Monster is the goods.

Also, don't get a Sony. They are shit. Fuck knows where the good reviews Hasney are talking about have come from.

Also, a Panasonic Plasma will put an LED to death any day of the week. Go that way. :y:

And before you knock me Funky, I sell monster and only buy their products. We've tested it against every other brand we have in terms of HDMI and Surge (we use noise sniffers for that) and it is a LONG way above of the competition. Well, it is here anyway.

I will enjoy my 3 for $9 HDMI cables, which still make my 50" look incredible.

Yeah same. I have a Monster HDMI cable lying around in one of my drawers. My £5 one doesn't look any different so I thought I would save the Monster as for that price, it best survive being tangled up in a heap with other wires.

Yeah I already bought 3 for like $11 when I thought I was getting a new tv a few months back.

Definitly getting one in a few weeks.

You know when it says that it has problems with 1080/24, that's every HD movie ever made, right?

Yeah I would definitely read a TON of reviews on a TV before buying it. TVs are one of those major purchase things that you can get screwed on if you don't do your research. You can also find some GEMS by researching before hand.
