Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat performed a stunt with other Legends this past Monday. Late Wednesday night, Ricky was experiencing pain in his neck and shoulder, and immediately went to the hospital. It is not clear if his current condition is related to his performance on Monday night. WWE is waiting to hear more from the attending physicians.

I blame Otunga's spinebuster.

If Barrett had been there, I would've blamed his voice.

His voice would have cured Steamboat.

Who would a thunk that having an old guy do some bumps would actually cause him pain?

I hope this is a work, Steamboat is awesome I hope they didn't fuck him up due to being rookies.

This really looks to be a work, on NXT this tuesday Cole mentioned Steamboat suffered neck pain and was taken to the hospital. If anything, this rumour seems to be a day old.

At least since the Matt Hardy/Edge feud.

Ok this is apparently real, WWE.com released a statement saying that doctors agree this is not related to the NXT storyline. In any case, Nexus did not do anything- even otunga's stupid slam was near perfectly delivered.

Yeah, but they announced the Danielson firing, and that's a work.

Update 2: Dave Meltzer is reporting that Ricky Steamboat's condition has been upgraded to stable, although he is expected to remain in hospital for a while.

Steamboat suffered a brain aneurysm last night in Tampa.

UPDATED: WWE has provided this update...

According to medical officials, his condition is most likely not related to his performance on Monday night, and Ricky's medical prognosis is good to excellent.

Yeah it wouldn't have anything to do with all the bumps he had taken over all the years of his career some injuries take prolonged periods of time to arise hopefully this is the case.

Umm, too soon, especially if his condition gets worse, and I bet Paul Roma feels stupid using Ricky's recent tv time to blast off about him

Of course not. only the most recent thing is important. This is wrestling, after all.

You're just jealous your acting never killed anyone.

pira-girl
07-02-2010, 12:32 AM
Well I hate to even bring up that waste of a good body's name but he went on blast mode Tuesday talking about Ricky having a big ego when they wrestled (I dunno why someone in their natural mind thought Ric could pull a 5 star match out of him) and Ricky basically tried to go over the match with him witha stern position and they differed and argued on how the match would go and Paul was like" well if you REALLY want to go afterwards we'll go." Well as someone younger, he really didn't understand that Ricky was having his veteran cap on when he was talking to him

A litter box doesn't hold a person. Unless stuck in a blender first.

I hear Danielson walks on water and made the Devil tap out in a six star match.
