And I haven't got a clue. Anyone?

I've built a mobile version of a site I'm managing, and I've set up the subdomain on the control panel of the host.

The subdomain links to the public_html/mobile folder, but the address refuses to work. I get a permissions error. Could this be down to the control panel setting up my subdomain?

Basically, the public_html/ bit is already there, and I only fill in the folder for it. When I fill in the folder text box and submit, it appears as /mobile/, which would give me a redirect to public_html//mobile/

I'd have almost been disappointed if I came to this thread and found answers after my previous response.

He can change the permissions on the folder via his FTP client. There should be a series of four numbers after the folder in another column, like 0771 or 0755 or something like that. Tell him to change it to 0755. Usually does the trick.

And I realize I'm very late and he probably figured it out by himself.
