Also him and JR were the best announce team.

Announcer, not ring announcer.

Best ring announcer?

I'd say JR is the best. Heyman I'd put up there with Brain as the best color commentators.

Does Joey Styles round out the top 3?

I need to hear more Gordon Solie.

Yeah, I'd say JR and Gordon Solie would be my top 2, like Xero said though Heyman was OK and did really well as a color guy, but I dunno for sure if I'd put him anywhere near the top of that category. Maybe though.

Heyman commentating for that year with JR was some of the best announcing in history, I've said it a million times. It was the perfect heel-face relationship.

i always liked schiavone. JR was great too

Schiavone could never convince me he was witnessing it all the action the first time. JR definitely is no.1, in that UFC 116 video he sounded and looked great. I understand getting new talent and all, but Jerry Lawler is older than JR :nono:

Heyman was good, but Bobby Heenan & Gorilla Monsoon cannot be beat......

I was sad when Lawler came back and replaced happy Heyman. Lawler is ok now, but he was great until what, about 02?

Did anyone else like heel Coach and Al Snow?

Xero

Lawler sucks now.

Lawler sucks now.

Yeah, he seems to phone it in as people say... do you attribute that more to the PG era, or to working without JR?

Xero

I attribute it to him not giving a shit. During the last few years JR knew how to pull Lawler out of holes he dug himself in the booth. Now it's glaringly obvious how bad Lawler is.

it's all about Kevin Kelly

Heyman was awesome.

I remember his debut, it was back when releases and that were kept all hush hush, he comes out and says "Stacy Carter, who worked here as The Kat, got released. Jerry Lawler, to his credit, followed her out the door, so Im here"

It just sounded awesome and I got the impression that WWE didnt want him to say that, he broke kayfabe quite a few times during his run. JR always got pissed at him as well lol.

The chemistry and back and forth between JR and Heyman was great. They fed off each other so well. I think it was because Heyman would randomly go right to the edge (even for the Attitude era) and legitimately get under JR's skin on the air.

Just marked out for the Lance Russle reference! yesssssssss.

Lawler is EXACTLY the same now as he's been for the last ten years. I seriously think he might be a robot. The only difference between Lawler now and Lawler in 2000 is that we've had to deal with him for an additional 10 years.

I was a Coach fan but only as part of that 3-man Raw team. He was one of the better backstage interviewers around. Who can forget this:-

Joel Gertner > Jerry Lawler

God, finally somebody mentioned Joel Gertner. Gertner was hillarious, but as far as in a non-ECW enviroment I dont think he would do well. I really enjoyed "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko in WCW.
