COC fans will probably be wanting to hear this...

For those who know me, they know I am a big fan of Corrosion of Conformity. One of my favorite bands of all time. With Pepper Keenan taking a lengthy hiatus with Down, it's possible that we may never hear another album from them, right?

History lesson: Mike Dean, who plays bass, also used to do lead vocals during most of their "Thrash Punk" era. Woodroe was always down for playing guitar. Only thing missing is long time drummer Reed Mullin from the classic Animosity lineup.

Reed's back. And COC is touring with that lineup! And they are doing the stuff from Animosity, Eye For An Eye, and Technocracy. And... I have officially planned my vacation around seeing them in their hometown of Raleigh, NC on 7/31.

You just have to understand that they are truly 2 different bands throughout their existence. The "Thrash Punk" band from their early days and the much better known "Southern Metal" of here lately, aka the Pepper Keenan-era.

I am hearing talk that they are recording, and do want Pepper to come back. This is just a bone thrown to their older fans, nothing more and nothing less.

Would nice if Pepper got back sooner rather than later though, I saw them live a few years touring for In The Arms of God and they were excellent - shame to throw that away.
