Hey guys, I am finally caving in and buying an X-Box 360 here in a few weeks and I was wondering something. Can the 360 read .avi files from a flash drive? I heard that the 360 recently started supporting flash drives, I was just unsure of what types of files that it could read.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Yes it can.

And the 360 has supported flash drives for awhile; it's only recently that you can store save files, games, etc to them.

Yes, though sadly can't naturally play .mkv files. But got a HTPC that takes care of all that now for me. But if download something from my laptop, sometimes I like to just play it through 360 still as opposed to doing a file transfer.
