The wwe divas?
we all see the divas as the major downside to wwe but there was a time when it wasn't associated with such bad matches/segments so i ask how would you book the wwe womens division so it would be entertaining
When did we agree that the Divas are THE downfall of the WWE? That's just silly.

models arent bad i think just give them more time to develop ring skills i.e. trish stratus

And, in my opinion, that's the issue.
Time.
Trish Stratus was a model, but she was given time to improve her in ring abilities to a point where she is viewed as one of, if not the, greatest Divas ever. She also got in ring time to showcase what she could do.
It seems like Divas nowdays aren't being given that. While Diva matches have always been short, most of them feel especially rushed now. "Get in, show off your T&A (but not too much since we're PG now!), and get out" seems to be the rule of the day.

good point
To me it seems that they are trying to get lightening to strike twice by throwing these models into the ring hoping they come out like Trish.
I don't see it happening.

Real storylines that develop both in and out of the ring, instead of the half-thought-out crap they're putting out now.
Of course, that'd be true for the men's division as well.

You know, it's not like the WWE will ever change the way they book things...[/autistic]
Just because I can reply to this quite quickly: I'd release most of them, keep maybe 6-8 for valeting/managing/random on screen roles/advertising/merchandise etc. Scrap the female titles and pretty much womens matches on WWE TV altogether. Keep maybe Maryse (head and shoulders the best female character and ridic hot) Beth Phoenix (quite..."unique"?) Nattie (Harts) Kelly Kelly, Layla, Alicia Fox (calenders etc) Serena (SES) and McTaker (obvious reasons) maybe Jillian (although her character is somewhat stale now) The rest can walk.

why keep beth or mccool if they dont wrestle

bad biz cuz
McCool because I wouldn't want to explain to the one of the most valuable and longest tenured guy on the roster why I just released his wife and Beth because she can play a role none of the others can, namely a bird that can be presented as being able to look after herself against the guys.

I got a book for the divas...in my superman underoos. It's a page turner.:naughty: They're all basically eye candy now. Some of the ladies can wrestle but they get put in the background.Gail Kim is much better then they let her be,but she jobs to Alicia Fox?This all started with the diva searches and has gotten worse since.

More T&A, less wrestling.
Or keep those who don't have in-ring skills, out of the ring and maybe bring back the role of the valet.

1. Retire the Butterfly belt and have 1 womans title that is defended between both brands.
2. Hire Awesome Kong
3. Let Jillian work an honest match and get rid of her annoying singing gimmick. It is stale.
4. Fire the Bella Twins immediately.
5. Hire a professional female talent scout to cherry pick the indies, the knockouts & even that womens league.
6. Hire a FEMALE head writer specifically for the Diva division.
A lot of the reason WWE Divas have little to do and have trouble getting over is because the male WWE writing staff (all of them ? ) either don't care to or have trouble with, writing lead roles for their females.

i am on board with this idea
A lot of the reason WWE Divas have have trouble getting over is because for the most part, they are fucking awful.

Agreed.
And to boot, I think the divas need to be booked as "important." I'm not saying you throw the divas out there to close the show, but there's just something missing with regards to the weight of their feuds. When all you have is one five minute segment, and when the title is treated like a lower-card title, then people aren't going to give a shit.
The women's title should be THE most important thing for the divas, their sole focus. When you have a former champion (Maryse) become a gold digging valet, what does that say about the title? Would John Cena go from WWE champion to a passionate pursuit of Kelly Kelly? When you book a division around a Diva, and she doesn't even compete, why should the fans care?

Exactly. I'd say bring back Ivory and/or Jacqueline to pick the talent and book the women's matches. They can also help train those who really want to wrestle, but they're not good enough.

...Does WWE have trainers/instructors at FCW that are women? Or are they all guys?

Sadly (IMO) WWE dosen't have a clue how to do anything with the diva's anymore.
There are a few divas that have god given talent, and aren't being used (Natty obviously) that if actually booked right coulld put on a great match with someone with great experience (Phoenix, and yes even McCool)
Instead we get random diva (Alicia Fox for example) with a random title reign, going against other divas with the same or less (not like they had much to start with) talent.
But god forbid if Fox ever got in the ring with Natty or Phoenix and they have a bad match, it's usually the girls like Natty or Phoenix that get the blame.
