View Full Version : Eric Young should be getting a push (Opinion)

This guy has been there for a long time. TNA has recently started pushing some of it's own "home-grown" talent, so why not Eric Young. I always thought he put on some very good matches even when they were irrelevant (not a feud match or ppv match).

he has been given the opportunity to shine and I dunno if it is him or what he is given, but it's hard to really care too much.

I found myself becoming a fan of his for a little while and then he aligned with The Wolfpack and immediately I just stopped caring...who knows why.

He is rather small and not great on the mic. He is a good worker but I can't see him as a world title contender at least in a major fed like WWE or TNA. He just doesn't have the IT factor and the size.

I see what you're saying but at least they could give him a run at the title. Maybe even a title reign and see how the crowd reacts to it, who know's he might just make it. Even having him on a weekly basis as a good working midcarder on IMPACT would be good.

Joining the wolfpac was what killed him for me.

I liked his "paranoid" gimmick more.

Ya know, has he even been on television since Hall was fired? I can't remember seeing him since that backstage segment featuring him and Nash walking down the hallway talking about Scott being fired.......

No, not much time on tv. Well, I think that when Hall was fired it was the end of The Band. Hopefully with Mangus back, and The Band gone, we have a World Elite reunion or something which would give him a push.

I just hope Rob Terry fucks off soon. Big guys like him tend to get hurt ...right?

Well, he's pretty young so who knows... I just hope he learns how to wrestle. Hey, an injury you know, with time off he could finally train a bit more and actually learn how to wrestle.

I just hate that muscle bound look. I think it's ugly and limits mobility. That and MOST (not all) guys like him work the same type of match over and over and follow the "big man" formula and it gets really boring to watch.

And then there is big muscely guys who can't work at all = Insert Rob Terry in that group.

SORRY TO GET OFF TOPIC PERFECT.

I am right there with Schlomey... Right when he seems to pick up some steam I get interested for about a week or two, but he doesn't seems to keep me watching... i liked what he did with the International title saying that he would never wrestle on American soil, but then it just never went anywhere...

He's almost like TNA's Kane, but with better mic skills...

I generally feel the same about him as everybody else, he's kinda small physically but he can put on good matches. From what I heard he is good friends with Nash and has a good backstage reputation. TNA should use him as a "Next big star" like they were with him and Nash before the Band came back.

He should due to his loyalty with the promotion, wish they would bring back his paranoid gimmick, he works hard but i don't see the guy as a main eventer.

I actually loved his "don't fire me" gimmick. I liked him in Team Canada, and World Eliete. But the only way he could have a world title run is if they turned him into TNA's version of Micky Whipwreck, which would be interesting, but I dont see that happening.

yea they should push him...off of a cliff or tall building. The guy only got over as a superhero, and they killed that gimmick pretty quickly. The only way they can save him is to bring back Super Eric IMHO.

I love Young.... I don't see him as a singles guy, but they could bring back Petey Williams and use him as Young's tag team partner.....

Ha. Eric Young should not ever be given a push. The guy can't talk, he's small, and he has never drawn a dime. The only reason he is employed is because he is Jarretts buddy.

He really should drop the "big little man" scene and head back to the X-Division and excel there.

Explain. How is he under-rated? If anything he is over-rated. People claim he is good, but he is not.

Simple TNA logic. For every WWE guy that TNA signs, TNA's "homegrown" talent gets knocked down another peg.

He has always struck me as an average wrestler, he's not bad but he doesn't really do anything exceptionally well either. There are tons of guys in TNA I would push before Eric Young, and it looks like at least some of them are getting one right now.

He didn't get over as Super Eric :nono:

Where the company is right now, with the likes of Lethal, Terry, Super Mex, Morgan, The Pope, Kaz, Styles, along with many of the great Tag Teams TNA has got, I see no place to put Eric Young on TV at this present time.

I do like him though, and with a little push, like you all have said, could be a good champion.

The Pope

No need to put him on tv, just put him in the ring.
