I've always enjoyed Mark Henry in the WWE, I still remember him legitametly breaking the chain to the cage door against Batista. I think it's kinda sad that even though he has one of the longest runs in the WWE today, the only championships he has held was the ECW and a short European title run. Mark is one of those guys who will always be a "threat to the champ" just like Big Show and Kane (who just won the title out of nowhere ) no matter who it is. I'm much more of a fan of the "angry" Mark Henry than Sexual Chocolate or whatever they have him doing now. So what do you think the WWE should do with "The World's Strongest Man"? I would love to see him return to the angry distructive Mark that was on Smackdown. I think that maybe WWE could find a new younger strongman to come in and challenge Mark Henry.

I get the feeling that Mark Henry is such a swell guy in real life, that even though I don't think he's World Champ material at all, I'd be happy to see him win it.

A little while ago, I didn't mind him.
But now, it's turned into an unbridled hatred for him. I cannot stand him anymore.

He was pretty over for like two weeks last year. Then nothing. He was a decent ECW champion. I think he'd need a slight re-tooling to be a world champ.

He came to RAW last year and was actually over, when he was doing the whole "arms raising you stand up" thing. Mark Henry tells you to stand up you stand up. They wasted it though, sad.
He still has the best theme in WWE besides Jericho.

This is how I feel... However, the Ol' Sexual Chocolate shit was one of my fav angles of all time...

The most he was ever over was when he was kind of a 'monster face' and was scaring the shit out of the heels on raw. That was pretty entertaining for a bit.
But mainly he's just a bit boring

I think Mark Henry is one of the few guys that transitioned well from lifting to wrestling. Ken Patera was decient at best in the ring but had 0 promo skills. Ted Arcidi was alittle better than Ken, and Bill Kazimier actually looked pretty good in WCW but had to retire from previous injuries. The only other strongman to do really well was Dino Bravo

Mark henry was best when he first came back and feuded Angle and etc over the WHC.
He was also Euro champ Roller.

I think he actually kinda fit well in ECW, and he was a fucking beast, so TBH he actually earned the ECW belt. Can't really say whether or not he deserved the European title though as I have no idea how he won it, how long he held it, etc.
Didn't Jeff Jarrett give it to him? How's that for earning it?

I think it's a real fucking shame that the skills and abilities of a legit weightlifting champion have been WASTED all these years........ and that he was forced to become "sexual chocolate" for Mae Young when he should have been suplexing the Big Show. I don't know if Mark Henry's character can be revived, or if his best days are behind him (he's got the personality of a brick wall, which doesn't help), but I never understood why his "world's strongest man" moniker never actually MEANT something in the WWE. At this point, calling him that is like calling Evan Bourne "the world's greatest pinball player."

They tried to push him as legitimate based on his outside accomplishments at first, and it didn't work.
There tends to be resistance to that. For whatever reason it doesn't translate well, and the crowd wants something more.
The same happened with Shamrock, Severn, and even Kurt Angle when he first came in. It was developing a unique and entertaining persona that got him over, not the fact that he was a gold metalist.
With Goldberg, WCW focused on his unstoppable push and didn't overdo the NFL thing.

I remember the "tests of strength" he did in the WWE (i.e., lifting a car), and maybe those didn't go "over" all that well, but imagine if his strength had been demonstrated inside of the ring more. I'm sure the fans would have been impressed if he had been allowed to do more.

he has the look of a monster heel but has always been BORING and way to quiet to get over as such. Meh.

Henry should be made a monster heel again and given a mouth piece type manager to do the talking. Book him similarly to Khali at the begining of his run on smackdown! when he fueded with Taker for the WHC. Have him leave for a while mabe kayfab injury and when he returns have him take on a new attitude taking out everyone in his path leave him undefeated for a while win some sort of number one contender match mabe battle royal then win the title from someone legit like Taker. While I'm not saying this would work 100% it could boost him to top heel status or atleast upper mid-card.

Mark Henry sucks. He's up there with Mike Hampton as one of the worst long-term deals ever.

It was nice to have him play the face for a while but now it's time for him to start wreaking havoc on the locker room again and not the buffet table if ya get my drift plus he needs a better entrance theme.

I just remembered when he bent that tire iron in half... And HEY! Don't knock on the Sexual Chocolate gig... Any man who has the cohones to do what creative had him do... That MF'er was hilarous...
And when he was hittin' on Chyna, you know the one with the penis... Funny stuff...

Him being constantly injured hurt his chances at pushes since it seemed like for years he would always get hurt at least once or twice a year.
At the same time it seemed like WWE couldn't do more than the big man monster character for him besides the Chocolate character and the recent run on RAW which made his character become too stale over the years.

Calling him a two time champion is kindof a stretch since he was given the European title by Jeff Jarrett and then lost it to D'lo pretty quickly.
Though the platinum ECW title did look pretty good around his waist. So, meh don't really care. He's been with the company long enough to get a face push, so good for him but I don't care.

When he first got drafted to RAW, he came made an immediate impact and I, like quite a few others at the time, appreciated how fresh it was. Henry was looking good, and he was fucking over because of it. He's never been a brilliant worker, but that angle where he pinned Randy Orton just worked. Then was the time if they were ever going to pull trigger on the guy.
The thing about Henry is that he just becomes so disinteresting as soon as there is anything...well, interesting going on. I wouldn't even like to see him as United States Champion right now, because there are quite a few guys I am more invested in that I'd really like to see do it. Lightning really needs to strike hot with the guy. If it ever happens again, then sure. It'd be a nice nod to the guy who has been with the WWE forever, and has really worked hard to become not as horrible as he was. But on any given night is he WWE Championship material? Not really, no.
