How do you see his decision never to work for McMahon. Do you think he would of made it in the WWF/E? Does it add more to the character "Sting"?
...and although it don't matter what we think, do you respect him for it? Or think it was a missed opportunity?
I guess if he is ok financially, then there's no issue with it. I'm not sure of his family status too, though I can only imagine he went on the road just as much in his WCW days as the WWF guys did back then. Right now, if he lives in Florida, it makes sense him making a base there if he is a family man and earning a good cheque.

The Stinger has always been one of my favorite, top 10 all-time in my eyes. The exposure he got while working in WCW would have been equal, if not greater than working for the WWF at that particular time.

I think that he felt he would buried or at least not used correctly like a lot of other former WCW guys that went to WWE (DDP, Booker T, Goldberg).

With Hogan's dominance in the '80s and Rock and Austin on top in the late 90s, I don't think Sting would have ever gotten a fair shake in the WWE. It doesn't seem to make much sense for him to go to the WWE now, though it'd still be cool to see happen, but the good thing is that it seems Sting and Vince do have a lot of respect for each other. I'm sure we'll see Sting in the WWE HOF once he retires from TNA, right?

Why would he be in WWE HoF? They've never even given him a minute on WWE TV. I mean, I dare say they have with videos etc now they own several back catalogues, but I mean promoting the guy.

WWE has put people who haven't been on WWF/WWE or minimum time on WWE programming in their Hall (ex. Gagne and the AWA).
Most likely they probably would wait until after his career in TNA is done and then work out some special deal similar to Bret who only agreed initially to be in the Hall as a one time deal when he "boycotted" anything to do with Vince since 1997.

I never had a problem with Sting being loyal to WCW and not jumping ship to the WWE, I actually respect him for it. Then seeing how badly WWE screwed up the WCW invasion angle, it doesnt surprise me he never went to work for them.
However, I think that he alone could have salveged the invasion angle just by being there. That would have been interesting...

I was never a Sting fan. Just sayin' ---I have enjoyed a bunch of his matches in WCW but never was huge on the guy.
Glad he never came to WWE - He is right he probably wouldn't have been used right ( at least for his standards)

I think it is very cool of him to have never worked for McMahon. Makes him unique.

Here is the question that I would like to pose, just because you mentioned his retirement. Who do you think will retire first, "The Icon" Sting or "The Phenom" Undertaker? It's the dream match we'll never really see, and I think Taker is alittle younger. I see Sting retiring first, but seeing how he still is a main eventer even though he has a messed up shoulder (which explains why he's wearing the shirt... and the recient weight gain) Undertaker seems to be wanting to retire in the near future.

He def is an Icon... Not one of my favs... His bouts with Flair were pretty damn good though... I see Sting retiring before Undertaker b/c his health probs... He's been trying for years but Dixie & TNA seem to keep drawing him back... I personally think he should hang it up...
He might be one of the few that could beat Bret Hart in our TPWW HOF rounds...

You know. Technically. Didn't he work for McMahon when McMahon brought WCW? If only for a brief time. Take the last Nitro. McMahon owned WCW, Sting wrestled that night too.
