Who has it?

I know G does. sneaky bastard thought he could slip it by me. :shifty:

Beat the "story" today. Pretty short, considering it was pretty much done only through multiplayer. It could have easily been DLC, and given the length of the main game, I'm not surprised people are calling it Crackdown 1.5.

Still, 4 player Co-Op is fun, and orb collecting is still addictive, so it's not a total wash. Multi-versus is kinda "meh," but I'm not surprised.

Ending leaves open for a third, and totally rips off Doctor Who.

I've got it. I've done everything except finish the game and do the freak breaches. Can't figure out the wing suit for the life of me though.

I got pretty bored with it, game has just been sitting in the 360 for 2 weeks.

So basically, its like the original with extra stuff?

Cost what? Like 60-70 bucks

Thanks for the heads up KK.

It's the same city, same engine, with a few new weapons and a few new orbs.

Oddly enough, a lot of the hidden orbs are in the same place they were in the first game.

Well that sounds like a total ripoff to me.

I have it, done everything after from orb hunting and stunt rings. Getting pretty bored of it now but it kept me entertained for a while.

Just have the last beacon at the tower to do, then gonna focus on the Cell camps. Love the green suit.

Got it, beat the story. I'm busy trying to round up the last 90 or so agility orbs, finish like 3 street races I have to beat for an achievement, tracking hidden orbs, and working on closing down some freak breaches. Other than that, really about the only things I have yet to do are to try out the tank which I recently unlocked, and I'm going after Pebble Dash, or whatever they call the achievement for (in spoilers, in case people want to trigger it randomly Jumping off the very top of Agency Tower into the chimney and landing in the toilet without dying, closest I came, I landed center of "the can" but died. LOL.

For misc. shits and giggles, I like to go around fucking about putting the Quacker grenades on different things and blowing unsuspecting freaks, agents, civilians, cars, whatever to bits and pieces.

G

Everyone I know who got it, including myself, died after jumping in. I thought I saw a duck bomb down there, so I guess it is possible to somehow live.

So what is the point of picking out a face every time you start, even though you never see it.

Disturbed316

Its easy to survive that drop if you want to, just deploy the glide suit.

G
07-22-2010, 11:02 PM
oh yeah, forgot about the glide suit.

I do but it's just too goddamned tough to maneuver. Once I thought I was aimed directly over the center and I hit the seat instead and died. Also, I think I've also not gotten it yet due to the fact that I recently realized I wasn't jumping from the very top of the tower. Still gonna try till I get it though.

I'm at like 78% completion so there's not really a whole lot left for me to do. Gotta get like 70 or so Agility Orbs, find 23 audio logs, close down like 9 more Freak Breaches (does it piss anybody else off that you can only interract with the freaks at night, because it bugs the ever-loving shit outta me...?), chase down a bunch of renegade driving and agility orbs, and win some agility races, and that's about it.

I've wondered this ever since the first game. Really pisses me off. If there's a Crackdown 3 like all evidence in the ending seems to suggest, they'd better make it so you can see your agent's face if they're going to insist on having you pick one.

Wing suit's a bitch. Especially gaining altitude. I can't do it more than 20% of the time.

Few more options, different narrative, but basically yes.

Oddly enough, a lot of the hidden orbs are in the same place they were in the first game.

Yeah, in MP I've spent a lot of time saying "hold up, I remember an orb near here..."

Just have the last beacon at the tower to do, then gonna focus on the Cell camps. Love the green suit.

Mmmm...Agency Bacon....

I'm using the green suit full time. Rawk. :D

It's not only possible, there's a hidden orb down there. I did it. The ducks aren't quackers, FTR.

Its easy to survive that drop if you want to, just deploy the glide suit.

I thlought that negated it. The first time I did it, I used the Wing Suit and didn't get it. Then I plummeted with only my good looks and natural charm to protect me (boy was I fucked) and not only lived, but got it.

On top of the face thing, where it's hidden, why are there only four, anyway?

So I guess I "cheated" by flying a helicopter to each freak breach and rocketing the shit out of them. Only took a few game nights to clear all of them.

Don't get me wrong, they're easy as pie. It just pisses me off that you can only close them at night.

It pisses me off now, too, but mostly because my retarded co-op partner will stop every three seconds for an orb so we can get a total of one done per night.

The Day/Night cycle is a pain. On my TV, if I adjust the gamma properly (as in, follow the suggestion) night is hard to tell anyway. Anything more, and I'm staring at pitch blackness even in the daylight. There's no clock to tell you how close to the end of day or night is (That I can find, feel free to correct), and Cell strongholds and freak layers don't seem to be affected at all, though that's one of the big changes. The only cool thing about night is blowing the shit out of massive numbers of freaks.

DAMN iNATOR
07-24-2010, 08:26 PM
Well, I'm done with all the breaches, so I guess now I'll just have to look forward to mowing them down in vehicles of choice. That'll probably wear thin soon, though, so next time I decide to pop it in I'll probably just tackle some agility races as I'm only 5 complete for 15 total of those.

G

Found the best place to boost vehicle xp. The top most spawn on the first island puts you on a coast line, in the middle of a shit ton of freaks. Hit level 4 and 5 in only a few game nights.

Is there any news of DLC coming out? It's either because I've been playing the shit out of this or because after finding the last of the 500 agility orbs tonight that I'm thinking of getting rid of it, because I am really tired of orb chasing.

Will probably wake up tomorrow "refreshed" and want to play more.

Guy at EB Bays threw a bitchfit about this game yesterday.

Screaming, basically saying you sell the same fucking game in your goddamn bargain bin for $4.99.

Yelled out the ending which I found humourous as I had no clue what he was chatting about until he held the game up.

When they said the best they do is like $20 for the game, he went hysterical and had to be escorted out by police.

Check the Avatar Awards, you can confirm at least 2 DLCs with the added awards that are "locked." You'll love one of them, since it's a green suit for your avatar.

Dunno if the DLC will be worth it, but at least you know it's coming.

FAngel has it. Have you not beat the "story," G? Defended Agency Tower?

Read that the easiest way to catch those renegade orbs is to drop from a helicopter and fall on it.

Gamerzines reports that those who buy Toy Box will get a Green Agent Helmet, while those who buy Deluge will be able to use a PVP Agent Helmet. For those who finish what may be the last mission of Toy Box, something called Fly Swat, there will be a Green Agent Suit, while players who beat 15 Minutes of Maim, probably the last mission from the Deluge pack, will get their virtual hands on a PVP Agent Suit.

I might have to hold onto then, until we get more info. I knew I would wake up "refreshed" and wanting more. Stupid game.

Yeah I did the whole defend the tower thing, just didn't think there could be actual spoilers for this game. :-\

Kinda odd when you consider the game barely has a plot. Speaking of, was I the only one who got the impression that more than just Agency Tower changed as you progressed in the game? I mean the promos made it look like, you know, things were a little more dynamic than they are. I know the whole city can't rebuild itself because of orb locations, but still.

Not so much a spoiler of the ending, but what you do when you "complete" the game I guess.

Very true. Stupidly enough, it seems like the only real 'plot' points they decided to actually include were in those audio logs, hence why I'm still hunting down the 20 or so I have left to find.

Yeah, and a few stray bits. When you shut down certain freak hideouts with the beacons, you get audi from Catalina Thorne.

I'm wondering if you are on "Cell's" side in the next game. This is in part because of the ending, in which Thorne gets agent DNA through retarded means (I HAVE A ROCKET LAUNCHER! I'LL JUST JUMP AND RISK GETTING KILLED BEFORE I CAN STOP THE BAD GUY!), and partially because of the audio logs. If it was just Thorne, I'd think she was full of shit, but the other audio logs seem to indicate the Agency is the real bad guy. Combine that with the DNA capacity, we're either fighting Super Cell next game, or we're on Thorne's side. And either way, I'm pretty sure we're not the good guys. Which ranks up there with DUUUUUUUH! But.

Even when landing? Make sure the landing gear is down.

I survive every time unless I do something stupid like crash it.

Though I did have one blow up right on the Agency's pad for no reason as I was trying to take off.

If that were to be the story for Crackdown 3, I could see them ditching the whole thing of having you play as just some anyonymous agent, and making you take on the role of the former leader of the Agency who decided to defect or something, and you, as leader of the Cell have to try and find a way to wipe Pacific City off the map for good or something.

Nah its almost certainly you vs Super Cell agents, got to be.

Kane Knight
07-26-2010, 09:31 PM
Yeah, it's almost certain you'll play as the obvious villain, even though all the indications are that the Agency is behind all the dirty shit going down.

I mean, I may be wrong, but I don't think it's as certain as you'd claim.

OK, I'm fed up with this game. I've 'officially' decided to look up maps for the audio logs and agility and hidden orbs, that way I can track all that shit down for the respective achievements, and after that I could give a fuck less.
