For those who haven't heard the news, PWTorch is reporting Austin Watson has signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.
If you're not familiar with Watson, he wrestled for TNA from October, 2007, until his subsequent release in March, 2010, and during his tenure with that company was a co-holder of the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
Let's discuss...

Yeah, I sort of wonder if he will or not. Got kind of distracting at times.
His throwing up was distracting, too.

i have only seen one of his matches...why doesn't someone with more experience with creed post a good match or 2 to wet my whistle.

According to the WWE Rookie Name Generator (http://www.thewrestlingfan.com/twfnamegenerator.html) his new name will be...
Maddox Major
That one isn't actually so bad. Way to go, WWE!

You're talking about TNA, right?
Good for Austin. He's a young guy (23), and had charisma and room to grow as a performer. I never watched too much of his in-ring stuff, but I don't remember it being offensively bad. He could very easily be a good plucky babyface for the WWE.

I actually liked him in TNA....could be my die hard love of Rocky 4
ZGood pickup...he could have a bright future...at least as bright as the hooters waitresses the WWE is hiring

It'll be interesting to see if he shows up as the "Indy Darling" on NXT3 or if he just jumps from developmental to Raw or Smackdown. He's got a good look, charisma, and he's not bad in the ring. I just hope that the WWE thinks that and allows him to make an impact :shifty:

I enjoyed Creed from what I saw of him. As far as the new Shelton Benjamin though, look no further than Kofi Kingston.

I don't know. His Apollo Creed gimmick seemed a bit forced to me at times, and I'm hoping he's more comfortable in whatever role he's given in the WWE. I don't think his badass entrance video really fit his TNA character either, but obviously that won't be an issue anymore.

Well he was never really used to his full potential in TNA, so I don't think it'd be possible for him to be treated much worse in the E. Maybe now would be a good time to bring back Tony Atlas and put him with Watson as an on-screen mentor or something.

I like the signing. He's young and shown flashes of promise in the past.
He'll probably be in developmental for a bit to learn the WWE style, and I could see him on NXT if its still around by the time he's called up.

I'm happy for Creed as I'm a fan of his, but it still baffles me that as it seems WWE is more intent on increasing their black base they are without Elijah Burke. But good for Creed.

Good signing, but I doubt we'll be seeing him on WWE TV anytime soon.
Good call, since most guys spend months in developmental before they debut on WWE TV.

That throwing up thing was insane... But I di like this guy's ring work... He could fit in the WWE if he has the mic skills to boot!

Good for him, never did anything wrong and deserves a shot, if he's willing to go through developmental to do it, more for him. I hope he's sucessful

Creed actually improved a lot during his TNA run, he botched his handspring elbow move quite frequently but other than that he was a solid worker with good charisma. Good signing.
Also I guess Vince loves guys who throw up, but not guys who spit or sneeze. :shifty:

I always liked Creed and I wished he could've been bigger than he was, but he's so young and was stuck behind so much talent. Hopefully now that he's part of a weaker roster he'll be able to stand out. I wish him the best.

Imagine if Concequences Creed debuted with that entrance. That would be more epic than Glacier. I liked Creed in TNA, I thought he was young with a solid gimmick. Unfortunatley, I dont see WWE doing anything serious with him (then again, maybe he too can make cartoon style shirts and wristbands that sell).

Exactly. His music even says "I AM SHELTON!!" right in the beginning of the song.

I like Creed. He's not spectacular or anything, but he can work. Plus, I don't think it'll take too much work to get him to work the "WWE Style." I could see him as a solid midcard babyface.

They already did that in TNA, back when Adam Pacman Jones was in a group with them. SO you are about 3 years late.

TNA's roster is loaded with talent. WWE has talent at the top but not nearly as much depth. Any moderately intelligent wrestling fan knows this, which is why Providence Peep is so baffled right now.

The sole difference with your statement is that TNA doesn't know how to properly use said talent.

1) I don't "hate" TNA, I just prefer to not watch their programming on a regular basis as it has been stale.
2) Booking aside, TNA still does not use their talent correctly. No matter how you look at it, they are stupid for pushing the geriatric old farts rather than giving props to the guys that helped build that company.
3) I loved TNA when they started because they were different with mostly unknown guys who had talent and would put on a good show week after week. Now they've gone the opposite route and proven they have no idea what the fuck they are doing.
4) You act like such a huge asshole and bash anyone who doesn't agree with you, so truth be told I could give 2 shits what you think because you're a pompous prick who's head is so far up his own ass that he can't look at things from both sides of the big picture. Yet you wonder why so many people here don't like you?
I legitamately like everyone on this web forum and have no problems with anyone and give them all a fair chance, no matter how terrible of a poster they are, but you are by far the biggest fucking piece of shit I've ever met. If you want respect around here, stop being a huge douche and have some fucking civility and don't go around bashing people because they don't like what you like.
