All I can say is wow

I was really worried throughout that whole match that Foley was gonna taken a really stupid bump, and yes, ok, there was A LOT of garbage wrestling, but the tension and psychology of that match was amazing, things went in the right place, and Orton comes out of it ready for the Main Event, Foley made him look like a true Main Event player tonight, and I tell ya something, Orton in the Thumbtacks? You could see it coming in the match, but I never thought he'd do someting like that, props to him.

Also, can I just say this about Ric Flair..... Foley can't go 60 minutes with Guerrero, Angle or Benoit??? He was blown up after 6 minutes with Shelton Benjamin, and Foley definetly looked more in-shape in his match than I've seen him in years, so I hope that gives a big fu</>ck you to Flair.

In case you didn't hear about the finish, Orton landed two RKO's. One by reversing a socko attempt and the other landed on the barbed wire or something. Figured you'd need a towel after those.

Cactus Sid

As I will be tomorrow  (about watching kill bill)

Overall the show was good, it had 1 really good match and 1 MOTY candidate, 2 out of 7 ain't bad, when you consider the other 5 weren't terrible. Flair/Benjamin was your standard short Flair match, Victoria/Lita was good for a Lita match, but she was really nervy, Coach/Tajiri wasn't as terrible as it could be, and starts a program for Garrison Cade/Tajiri which could be a good match given time, Jericho vs Xian/Trish was fairly good, good stuff between Xian and Jericho, perhaps not as good as there WM match, but not bad nevertheless, La Resistance/Rosey and Hurricane was a filler, good time for a bog break or grab a snack. Only REAL disappointment was Kane/Edge, but that was killed by the crowd.

The WWE did really well in getting over both Benoit and Orton tonight, they really did shine through.

Gerard

The first half of the PPV was better than the second half. Main event was alright but HBK tapping sucked. Why the F are they buring him? The man still has more talent than half the god damn roster combined!

HBK should have won the title at WM and then lost it to Benoit tonight.

I don't know why, but I hated the ending to the Triple Threat. Good tribute to Bret and everything, but I was hoping for Michaels to Sweet Chin Music Benoit out of nowhere and run off with the title to the biggest heat ever. :-\

Good PPV. I'm hyped about Orton after that. MOTYC, indeed (but what do you expect from Orton). I'm going to piss myself if he's ever in a Ladder Match.

Wow, three pages. I guess just like me, no one remembered this PPV, LOL.

Foley vs Orton was definitely the best match of the night, but a bit w00t to Benoit making Michaels tap out. He's like unbeatable now. Seriously... besides Michaels, he has no one to feud with.

I suggest Jericho. When his feud with Christian wraps up, Beniot should be done w/ HBK...

Foley/Orton match of the year candidate. I'm officially jumping on the Randy Orton bandwagon. This match really impressed me.

The Triple threat was great IMO. Benoit made HHH tap, then HBK, and it really solidified him as a champ. I'm hoping he moves on to a face/face feud with Y2J.

After reading through the results, especially on a ppv, is there such thing as a finishing maneuver anymore? Some of the victories were by a clothesline, enzeguri, and rollups. Only the big matches had an actual finishing maneuver used. I was just wondering why we've seen quite a bit of that lately.

And as Gerard mentioned, I don't think the Cactus Jack character has really helped Foley right before a big match. In Foley's last year of 2000, he became Cactus Jack and lost to HHH twice in a Street Fight and Hell in a Cell.

I doubt, short of stopping a meteor that was going to impact directly on Canada, that Michaels will ever get anything but heel heat in Edmonton. However I think this may have been Vince/Shawn's subtle apology to Bret Hart.
