Has anyone seen this yet?
It was released in the UK and Ireland on Friday, supposedly, but I went to the pictures yesterday in Dublin it was nowhere to be seen.
It's a Brazilian film about a doctor who worked in a hugely over-crowded prison in Brazil, where the prisoners basically ran the place themselves but where AIDS was rife. The film relates the stories of the doctor at the centre of the story and some of the real characters in the prison, leading up to a massacre carried out by riot guards sent in to take control of the prison, killing over a hundred prisoners.
I've read a few reviews and they all see it is amazing, and got a 5 minute standing ovation at the end, at some random European film festival that is famous.
I want to see it, but knowing this country, it probably won't be on general release until everyone goes crazy for it in a few months.
