Welcome to the second television week of ARMCHAIR WARFARE! All of our bookers came blazing out the gates in our inaugural television round. They all offered unique shows and formats alike. Some people were loved by the masses. Some, not so much. Regardless, here are the results from the first television round:

***

1) Vintage Championship Wrestling = 46 pts. (Public Poll winner)

2) Superb Championship Wrestling = 40 pts.

3) Dead Wrong Wrestling = 27 pts.

4) This Is Wrestling = 22 pts.

5) Lethal Action Wrestling = 20 pts.

***

At this point, we're pretty much neck and neck between Vintage and Superb, but this is definitely still anybody's game to win.

Now, this is where I would normally post the Star Power rankings, but since SOME of the judges didn't feel they should DO star power rankings (:foc:), those will be revealed with the results for this round.

A few friendly reminders for this week:

* If you are a judge, DO NOT VOTE ON THE PUBLIC POLL. I will accept your official rankings in the social group, along with your STAR POWER RANKINGS (:foc:). Please discuss your opinions in this thread, though.

* If you are a booker, DO NOT VOTE ON THE PUBLIC POLL. I mean, I guess you COULD, but....just don't.

* Anyone else, you are more than welcome to vote in the public poll (encouraged, even), but it would be greatly appreciated if you didn't do so until YOU READ ALL FIVE SHOWS IN THEIR ENTIRETY. Thanks in advance.

--------

OK, enough jibba jabba. I'll start posting the shows in just a few minutes here. Please DO NOT VOTE OR POST IN THIS THREAD UNTIL ALL FIVE SHOWS HAVE BEEN POSTED.

Here we go!

Perfect: Tonight I take the first steps in accomplishing something even my father couldn't do when I --

Cole: These two men have wrestling coursing through their veins. Both men are 3rd generation grapplers. Orton the son of "Cowboy" Bob Orton and grandson of Bob Orton, Snr. Joe Perfect is the grandson of Larry "The Axe" Henning and the son of "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig.

Hulk: And as Joe was trying to allude to, he wants to do something his father didn't do and become World Champ. This should be a good match.

*The match is very even throughout with both guys taking it in turn to control the pace of the match. The ending sequence comes with Perfect down and Orton stalking him for the RKO. Perfect manages to reverse the move, sending Orton crashing to the canvas.

As Orton gets up, Perfect rushes at him and hits the Running-Single-Arm-Spinout-Neckbreaker. He covers but only gets a 2 count. Perfect pulls Orton to his feet and hooks him up to hit the PerfectPlex, suddenly Orton twists out of the move and hits the RKO. The force sends Perfect under the ropes and to the arena floor.

The ref begins to count. Orton paces in the ring as the ref won't let him go out after Joe. Perfect gets up at the count of 6, he motions to slide back into the ring but doesn't. He stares up at Orton from the arena floor*

Cole: What's he doing? He knows I was looking at these matches to see who would compete for the VCW World Title!

Hulk: I don't get it either Cole, he wants that --

*Hulk's sentance is stopped abruptly when Joe Perfect turns and slaps him across the face*

Cole: What the hell are you doing!? Get the hell out of here! Hulk, I'm so sorry.

Hulk: It's OK. It's not your fault.

*Meanwhile, the ref completes his 10 count and Orton's hand is raised in victory. Joe Perfect is escorted from the arena by security. Orton celebrates in the ring until he is interupted by...*

*Cole and Hulk recap what happened before the break with Perfect slapping Hogan and Orton bailing from Anderson. Anderson is in the ring and has his mic in hand*

Anderson: Randal...Keith...Orton. You can run, but you can't hide from Miiiiiiiiiiiissssssttteeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnndddddddeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrson.......Anderson!

*The Great Khali enters to a mixed reaction*

Hulk: This is literally a huge challenge you've put infront of Anderson tonight.

Cole: If Anderson wants into the VCW World Title Match he'll have to prove he can get the job done against competitors of every size.

(Match 2) SINGLES MATCH

*The match starts with Anderson punching and kicking at Khali trying to wear him down. Khali nails a headbutt sending Anderson to the mat. Anderson gets back to his feet and tries to attack Khali again. He attempts a Belly-to-Back Suplex but can't lift Khali. Khali nails a solid elbow to Anderson's head, he follows up with a huge chop and goes for a cover. Anderson gets tjhe shoulder up at 2.

Khali grabs Anderson around the throat and lifts him clean into the air, he holds him there until the ref's 4 count and drops him back to the mat. Anderson uses the ropes to get to his feet, Khali aims a Big Boot at him but Anderson ducks and Khali ends up crotched on the top rope. Anderson hits a Chop Block to Khali's standing leg to take him to the mat. Khali manages to get back to his knees until Anderson hits the Mic Check. He covers and gets the 3 count.

Hogan: WOW! You gotta hand it to Anderson. He turned this match around quickly and that win has gotta impress you.

Cole: I have to hand it to Anderson, that was an impressive victory.

============================

*We cut backstage to Kelly Kelly who is stood with Randy Orton*

Kelly: Randy, with a victory like that it's clear to see why you're avoiding Mr Anderson.

Orton: Kelly, it's called "picking your spot". Could I go out there and drop Anderson whenever I like? Sure. Or I could wait for the right moment. And in that moment I can remind Anderson why he couldn't cut it with the "Big Boys" the frist time and why he won't be able to hang this time around.

Kelly: You have to admit though, that was an impressive win for Anderson...

*Orton stares at Kelly saying nothing until she walks away scared*

(Match 3) VCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP RE-MATCH

*The Usos make their way to the ring to a wall of boos. Once there yhey grab microphones*

Jey: You people are gonna boo us!? You're gonna boo us for playing by the rules?

Jimmy: Bro, what these people don't understand is a simple rule I picked up at UCLA Business School: Don't work for the system, make the system work for you!

Jey: That's right. And if we did wanna find a loophole, as a graduate of Harvard Law...I'm your man.

*The Deadly Dudleys enter. The match is pretty one-sided with The Usos employing every trick in the book to keep D-Von in their corner and continue the beatdown. Eventually, D-Von struggles free and gets the tag to Bubba. Bubba clears house and the The Dudleys hit the 3D, with Bubba pinning Jey to take the win and VCW Tag Team Championships*

(Match 4) SINGLES MATCH

*Husky Harris makes his way to the ring to a decent face pop*

*Cody Rhodes slowly makes his way down the ramp, soaking in the hate from the crowd following his actions last week. Cody grabs a mic*

Cody: Let's tell it like it is Husky. I didn't like you from the get go. Look at you Husky, you're out of shape, with that dumb look on your face. I couldn't put my finger on why I dislike you so much. But then it al lfel linto place last week...you remind me of Dustin. Luckily for you --

*Before finishing his sentence, Cody hits Husky with a kick to the groin. With Husky on the mat Cody heads outside the ring to grab something. Back in the ring, Cody slops gold paint on to Husky's face. Cody tells the ref to ring the bell. The match officially starts, Cody stalks Husky as he slowly makes it to his feet. Cody hits Cross Rhodes and covers Husky for the 3 count. After the match Cody forces Husky into the corner and sets him up for the Shattered Dreams. Cody runs acorss the ring and boots Husky in the groin, Cody leaves the ring as EMTs treat Husky*

Hogan: This is a mean streak that I didn't see in Cody. That thing with the paint is definately a message to Goldust but he still hasn't explained his actions.

(Match 5) VCW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CHASE: Frenzied Fiveway Match

Borash: Ladies and Gentlemen it is now time for part two in the VCW International Championship Chase - a Frenzied Fiveway Match! Unlike last week, it will not be the first man to be pinned who is eliminated...it will be the last man to get a pinfall or submission who will drop out of the chase to become the first VCW International Champion!

*Suicide, Shannon Moore, R-Truth, Mark Henry and Kaval all make their entrances*

*As with last week's match the match starts off with frantic action from the smaller guys, all of which attack Henry. Henry takes a beating from all sides with Kaval's ferocious kicks taking out his legs and the other 3 men workin over the body. Shannon Moore nails a Leg Drop from the top rope and goes for the pin. Sucide, Kaval and Truth break the pinfall up as they want to progress to the next round quickly. Henry rolls to the outside leaving Kaval facing off against Moore and Truth taking on Suicide. The two couplings battle back and forth, Moore goes for a Moonsault on a standing Kaval. Kaval steps back, Moore lands on his feet and Kaval snaps a Dragon Sleeper on him. Moore taps after only a few moments. KAVAL ADVANCES*

Hogan: That was prety smart on Moore's part. He could have risked being in the hold longer and then feel the effects for the rest of the match or tap out now and hope to progress.

*Kaval makes his way to the back, Henry is still down on the outside, leaving Suicide, Moore and Truth to fight it out in the ring. Once again the faced paced action ensues. Eventually, Truth gets a pin on Moore following the Lie Detector. R-TRUTH ADVANCES.*

Cole: That's two men through to the next stage of this Championship Chase.

*Henry climbs back into the ring and clotheslines both remaining men to the mat. He takes control of the bout with power moves. He hits the World's Strongest Slam on both men and gets the pinfall on Moore. MARK HENRY ADVANCES.

Hogan: The other guys in this competition cannot be pleased with Henry advancing. With less guys in each round to take him down, you gotta believe The World's Strongest Man's chances only get better.

=======================

=======================

*As we return from the commercial Shannon Moore and Suicide are still feeling the effects of the brutal offense of Henry. The match slowly picks up speed until both men are flying around the ring in their typical fashion. Suicide takes comtrol by flipping backwards off the middle rope and catching Moore with an Inverted DDT. Suicide heads to the top rope looking for a Moonsault. Suddenly Eric Young is on the apron to take a swipe at Suicide's mask. Suicide fights him off and knocks Young to the arena floor. Suicide flips backwards to hit the Moonsault but Moore moves out of the way. Moore covers and gets the pin to qualify for the next round. SHANNON MOORE ADVANCES. SUICIDE IS ELIMINATED.

Cole: We have our four men for the Third Round of the International Championship Chase, continuing on next week's Wednesday Night Warfare.

*Moore makes his way to the back. Young climbs in the ring and goes after Suicide's mask again. After a short struggle Suicide fights him off and manages to get out of the ring. Young is livid in the ring, he motions to Suicide that he wants his mask*

[ENTRANCES + MATCH + AFTERMATH = 30 MINS]

==========================

*We go backstage where Kelly Kelly is joined by Jay Lethal*

Kelly: Last week on Wednesday Night Warfare you were savagely attacked by HHH after you teamed with him to face Anderson and Orton. Your thoughts?

Lethal: Last week I was just giving a little throwback to what made me popular in this business. Just a little something for the fans to laugh at. Just fun-loving, happy-go-lucky Jay Lethal having a good time. But it seems HHH can't take a joke.

Kelly: And this week you've asked Michael Cole to put you in a match against HHH?

Lethal: That's right! It's time for Kelly Kelly, VCW, the world and especially HHH to meet "The Real" Jay Lethal.

==========================

PPV HYPE PACKAGE

Showing a man reading passgaes from the Bible intercut with shots of the VCW roster. The promo pushes the point that questions will be answered and champions wil be crowned. VCW's first PPV will be called REVELATION.

Cole: VCW presents REVELATION, live on PPV, August. But next week on Wednesday Night Warfare it's less a case of "revelation" and more a case of "explanation". By my orders, Joe Perfect will explain why he assaulted my partner on commentary Hulk Hogan earlier tonight and Cody Rhodes will explain his actions towards his brother.

Hulk: Sounds good to me Mike.

Cole: But up next we have tonight's Main Event.

======================

(Main Event) SINGLES MATCH

*Jay Lethal makes his way to the ring minus his usual smile*

Cole: Jay Lethal looks very focused here tonight.

Hulk: Perhaps this is "The Real" Jay Lethal!?

*HHH makes his entrance to a shower of abuse*

Hulk: Mike, I've been speaking to the boys in the back and nobody has spoken to or heard from HHH since last weeks show.

Cole: I honestly don't know what happened last week. That was not what I brought HHH to VCW for. I have personally tried to contact him but - as with everybody else - have been unsuccessful.

Borash: Ladies and gentlemen, this is tonight's Main Event! Standing to my left, standing at 6'4", he weighs in this evening at 25lbs, from Greenwich, Connecticut...TRIPLE H.

*The crowd boo again*

Borash: And his opponent, standing at 5'10" and weighing 210lbs, he hails from Elizibeth, New Jersey..."The Real" Jay Lethal.

*The crowd cheer*

Borash: And this match will be a No Time Limit, No Countout, No-Holds-Barred Match!

*Lethal goes straight on the attack and has a very aggressive approach throughout the match. In general the match is brutal as both men give their all with closed fists and plenty of "illegal" moves. Midway through the match HHH takes the action to the outside where he slams Lethal into the guardrail. He props Lethal up against the ring post and aims a clothesline at him. Jay manages to move out of the way and HHH clotheslines the post, injuring his arm. Lethal focuses on the arm for much of the match.

Later, HHH has control of the match, he hooks Jay up for the Pedigree but can only hook the one arm due to the damage. He covers for 2 and a third but Lethal shoots the elbow up.

HHH goes apeshit but regains his focus and prepares to nail Lethal again. As he stalks him, the lights begin to flicker and something on the tron catches HHH's eye...*

http://i953.photobucket.com/albums/ae11/p455vv0rd/greed.gif

*HHH looks on puzzled, as he turns around Lethal springboards off the ropes and hits a Sunset Flip, rolling HHH up. The ref counts...

1....

2.......

3!!*

Hogan: He didi t! He beat him!

Cole: That's a massive victory for Jay Lethal.

*Jay is still down on the mat as the ref raises his hand, HHH is going wild. He gets in the ref's face and then nails him with a right hand. HHH exits the ring and grabs his sledgehammer from under the apron. He heads back into the ring, Lethal staggars to his feet only to be met with a sledgehammer shot to the head.

The crowd boo HHH wildly as he looks furiously out across the arena. He raises the sledgehammer above his head, ready to stike Lethal again. The lights cut out*

Hogan: Have you paid the electric bill this week Mike?

Cole: The same thing happened last week! I don't think this is a connection problem Hulk.

*When the lights return HHH is still holding the sledgehammer but it is now broken in half. HHH is baffled by what has happened as the show goes off the air*

SCW Shockwave – Week 2

The music plays and the fireworks subside as we are welcomed to the show by Matt Striker and Taz. We have a huge night of action in store as tonight’s show will be headlined with a massive 20 man battle royal. The final 2 participants will have the honor of headlining SCW’s first ever PPV, WrestleFest, for the SCW Title. We’ll also see a continuation of the SCW Tag Title round robin, and much more!

William Regal’s music hits as he and Douglas Williams walk down to the ring. It’s a huge night for this British team, as they’ve gotten off to an 0-1 start to the round robin.

Regal: “What transpired here last week was nothing short of a travesty. Two of the greatest wrestlers in the world were besmirched by a man with fake glasses and another man who looks like a bloody Troll doll!”

The crowd laughs as Williams grabs the mic.

Williams: “You people may all laugh now, but there will be no laughing after tonight. William and myself will win this battle royal tonight, and you’ll all have the privilege of seeing us compete for the SCW Title. But first, we have some business to take care with with these so-called “Young Bucks”.

The Young Bucks run out from the back, and this match is on!

Tag Team Round Robin – William & Williams vs. The Young Bucks
The Young Bucks came out of the gate strong in this match, as they utilized frequent tags in and out. The British duo had a hard time keeping up with the speed of the Bucks. Regal eventually managed to slow down Jeremy Buck with a well-placed knee. Regal and Williams work over Jeremy with a variety of painful submission moves for several minutes as each attempt to tag out is thwarted. Jeremy eventually hits Williams with a hurricanrana and makes the hot tag to Max.

Pier six brawl breaks out with the Bucks dropkicking their opponents a few times. Regal rolls onto the outside as Max gets on all fours in the ring. Jeremy bounces off the ropes and launches himself from off of Max’s back, taking out Regal on the outside. Max gets up and looks at the damage done, but as he takes his eyes off the game, Williams grabs him and connects with his amazing roll-through German suplex, the Chaos Theory. William & Williams pick up the win! Both teams are now 1-1 in the Round Robin.

-----

Backstage, we see Heath Slater with a microphone.

Slater: “OK, I’ll admit it. Last week I was a bit too fired up before I began the Heath Slater Solo Tour. I spent the whole night before drinking and chillin’ with my groupies. But tonight, the One Man Rock Band is ready to go. I’m gonna dominate tonight’s battle royal and solidify my spot at the top of the WrestleFest card. And when I get there, I’m gonna blow…your…mi-”

For the second week in a row, Slater finds himself getting booted right in the face. But this time, it wasn’t Kane. The camera pans back to reveal “The Monster” Abyss! He’ll surely be a force to be reckoned with in tonight’s battle royal.

-----

Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer are out. Archer grabs a microphone.

Archer: “PAY ATTENTION!”

After just those two words, he hands the mic to Hawkins and stands behind him.

Hawkins: “Last week, Vance here and myself took out Edge after his match. We’ve been getting asked all week ‘Why? Why? Why did you do that?’ Well it’s really quite simple. A few years ago, Edge hired me to be in his group. He wasn’t capable of winning on his own. And yet, for years Edge has claimed that he was the one who made Curt Hawkins relevant. What he doesn’t seem to realize is that with or without him, I was going to make a statement.”

Hawkins pauses to allow the jeers to soak in.

Hawkins: “Edge, tonight, you’ll be facing my big backup, Vance Archer. I plan on teaching you a lesson in the very near future, and believe me, you WILL pay attention.”

Vance Archer w/ Curt Hawkins vs. Edge
Edge runs out and the match gets underway. Archer overpowers Edge throughout the early going. Archer breaks out some good power moves in this one including a side slam facebuster and running powerslam, but Edge kicks out at 2 each time. Edge begins mounting a bit of a comeback, both guys trade punches back and forth. Archer with a big punch, Edge begins reeling. Archer charges with a big boot, but Edge ducks. Archer turns around, SPEAR! Edge gets the 3 count and a huge win.

The ref raises Edge’s hand, but the celebration is cut drastically short as he receives a steel chair to the back from Hawkins. Edge writhes in pain as Hawkins drives the chair into his gut a few times. As if that wasn’t enough, Archer gets back to his feet and Hawkins directs him to plant Edge with his inverted DDT. He obliges, and Hawkins heads up top to finish the beating with a top-rope elbow drop. Edge has been left laying for the second straight week by Hawkins and Archer. Could Hawkins really have Edge’s number?

-----

The Hardys are out next, hoping to get in the win column of the Round Robin. Matt gets a microphone.

Matt: “Last week was just a little blip on the radar. My brother here mistimed his move and it left me vulnerable to both opponents.”

Jeff looks at Matt as if to say “what? You’re blaming the loss on me?”

Matt: “BUT IT’S OKAY! Mistakes happen. We still have two more chances to prove ourselves to the SCW audience. Once again, I scouted our opponents this week. I’m not too sure they’re in any condition to compete tonight, so we shouldn’t have many problems. Here, take a look.”

For the second week in a row, a video is shown on the tron featuring what appears to be Matt holding a handheld camera. The video appears to be set in a club somewhere as we see The South Beach Boyz knocking back beverages and tearing up the dance floor with their ridiculous looking moves. Matt provides a running dialogue talking about how they aren’t going to be well-prepared for the Hardys and that as long as Jeff can avoid another miscommunication, they should be fine. We then hear a deep voice yell “HEY!” as the camera quickly turns to reveal two large bouncers walking towards Matt’s general direction. The vid cuts out abruptly.

Matt nods in agreement with his own video as if to say to Jeff “see? We’ll be fine, these guys aren’t prepared”. Jeff looks thoroughly confused and disturbed but before the argument can escalate, the South Beach Boyz’ music hits and they come dancing out to the ring. The Round Robin tag team match is NEXT!

Tag Team Round Robin – The Hardys vs. The South Beach Boyz
The South Beach Boyz hoped to prove that last week’s win over seasoned veterans was no fluke, and victory over the Hardys could have firmly cemented their spots in the SCW Tag Team Title match at WrestleFest. But it was not to be. The Hardys controlled most of the bout as neither Watson nor Young could seem to get anything going. All four guys get some time in the ring before Matt dropkicks Young off the apron, leaving Watson in a two-on-one situation.

With Young on the outside, Matt connects with a Twist of Fate on Watson. He tags in Jeff, who then hits a Swanton Bomb. But before Jeff can cover, Matt quickly tags back in again and adds a top-rope leg drop as the Hardys win. And with that, all four teams in the Tag Team Round Robin have 1-1 records (who’da thunk it?) Matt celebrates getting the pin as Jeff looks slightly annoyed that his brother unnecessarily picked the bones.

-----

WOOOOOOOO! As the Hardys and South Beach Boyz recover in the ring, out comes SCW Commissioner Ric Flair, holding the SCW Title. He takes a seat at ringside before the other 16 battle royal participants come marching out. Each man circles the ring and stops to take a look at the belt. Some of the faces nod to Flair as they pass by, CM Punk just stops and stares at him. Our main event battle royal is NEXT!

07-28-2010, 12:12 PM
20 Man Battle Royal – Final 2 men will headline WrestleFest for the SCW Title The bell rings and everybody starts thrusting haymakers at one another. Hawkins and Archer go right after a heavily taped up Edge and dump him out in short order to maintain the traditional “somebody has to be eliminated within a few seconds” battle royal rule. Edge looks pissed. Kurt Angle muscles his former TNA associate Tomko over the top and to the floor. A few more minutes go by without an elimination until CM Punk gets his former NXT rookie Darren Young over the top. Percy Watson soon follows suit as Jack Swagger sends him packing.

Kane picks up Jeremy Buck and hurls him to the outside on top of the South Beach Boyz. Just as those three finally make it to their feet, they find some more company as Max Buck is sent flying on top of them by Abyss. Kane and Abyss have a hoss staredown as the crowd marks out. Heath Slater gets in between them and tries to get some revenge on the two men that have embarrassed him to start his SCW career. Big mistake, as Kane and Abyss shrug Slater off and throw him out with ease before brawling with each other. The focus is all on them. Each man grabs one another by the throat as they move to the center of the ring. However, they soon notice that the other 11 participants have surrounded them. 11-on-2 gangup takes place and both of the big guys taken out shortly thereafter.

Archer saves Hawkins from the clutches of a Masterlock as they take out Chris Masters for their second elimination of the match. They take out Douglas Williams next to make it three. William Regal avenges his teammate by coming out of nowhere to blindside Hawkins with a brass knuckles shot (it’s all legal folks). Regal picks the bones to eliminate Hawkins as Angle and Punk of all people team up to rid the match of Archer. Several minutes go by once again with several near-eliminations but nobody goes out. Everybody is getting visibly tired. With more open space in the ring, Jack Swagger manages to hit a Gutwrench Powerbomb on Kazarian before eliminating him. The Hardys double team Swagger and get him over the top, but Swagger stays on the apron. Matt begins to kick away at him only for Jeff to come from behind and dump out his brother! Matt looks gobsmacked as Jeff is all “sorry man, every man for himself”. This unintentional (or is it?) distraction costs Jeff as his former rival CM Punk eliminates him.

And after a long, grueling battle royal we’re now down to the final four. Angle and Regal go at it hard, ending with Angle suplexing Regal out. Angle is on the mat, visibly winded. As he slowly gets to his feet, Jack Swagger stalks him, seemingly to get the easy elimination. CM Punk notices this and leans on the ropes behind Swagger, as though he were assured a main event spot. Angle gets up to his feet and turns around, only for Swagger to suddenly reverse directions and clothesline the unsuspecting CM Punk over the top rope! Punk can’t believe it. Angle and Swagger will wrestle for the SCW Title at WrestleFest! Angle intensely stares down Swagger, as Swagger brandishes his trademark smirk as the show goes off the air.

Joel Gertner: Last week, as all of you know, Rey Mysterio was taken out of the ring on a spine-board. What you didn't know was that he was taken to the El Paso United Hospital where he underwent a CAT Scan as well as a full-body MRI. Bad news is, he wouldn't take off his mask, good news is he only suffered a mild concussion and has been cleared to wrestle in our main event tonight.

Raven: A true feel-good story in a business that don't got many. Would you like me to tell them about the main-event or should I? Fuck it, I don't care, tonight we're going to see the Murder City Machine Guns take on the team of Rey Mysterio and Evan "Not allowed to ride a rollercoaster so I wrestle" Bourne...

Joel Gertner: You left somebody out.

Raven: I was getting to them.

Joel Gertner: Not fast enough, the team of Paul London and Brian Kendrick, that's right it's the Bogus Journeys!

Raven: You know who isn't here tonight...The Miz. Yep, the DWW World Champion has been suspended for one week after his unsportsmanlike actions in last week's main-event. But fear not though all of you anxious Mizers, yours truly got to sit down one on one with the most hard working man in professional wrestling today. We'll be showing that interview later in the night.

Joel Gertner: Up first and already in the ring we have JTG with the lovely Alicia Fox facing off with the everyone's favorite seamen stain...JESSE NEAL!

Match Summary:

Jesse Neal comes out to “March to war” by Motorhead and taunts the crowd, Gold Digger by Kanye West begins to play and JTG makes his entrance along with Alicia Fox.

The match starts with JTG scoring with a round of left hands with a clothesline follow-up.

JTG comes off the ropes with a running leg-drop, pulls Jesse up and whips him into the ropes attempting a diving leg lariat which Neal ducks it and catches the leg for an unexpected dragon screw.

Neal positions himself in the corner as JTG gets to his feet. Big spear!

Neal hooks the leg for 2 ½ count. Neal hits a snap suplex then climbs the turn-buckle, performs a diving headbutt that JTG counters with a mid-air stunner for a 2 count of his own.

Neal escapes to the outside for a breather but Alicia Fox gets in his face, the two trade words long enough for JTG to come through the ropes with a dropkick to the back of Neal who smashes hard into the guard rail.

JTG rolls Neal into the ring. Cutthroat Backbreaker for a 3 count.
Match time: 5 Minutes 12 seconds

Raven: And now it's time to show off my first attempt at journalism.

[We start the video with Raven stepping out of his car and The Miz greeting him in the drive-way of his home.]

Raven: Miz, wow, beautiful house.

The Miz: Thanks, that's why I bought it.

[Cut to the inside of the Miz Mansion where Raven and Miz are seated across from one another. The Miz is looking relaxed and is decked out in Hefneresque robe.]

Raven: Let's start out with the subject of your suspension after last week's Illness.

The Miz: Yes, let's do that.

Raven: Do you feel you were treated unfairly?

The Miz: Yes and No. I think Funk was wrong in having our first show on a nationally syndicated cable network in Texas.

Yeah, I get it, you're big in El Paso Terry. We all get it. But, Dead Wrong Wrestling isn't about you or what you did in the past. It's not even specifically just about me, DWW is about the now. We are living in the present Raven, and the fans needs to know that.

Raven: You said, "Yes and no"...can you explain the "no"?

The Miz: Yeah, I think a suspension was the only way to go. I did put Rey Mysterio's life and career in jeopardy by my actions and for that, and that alone, I apologize.

They say that with great power comes great responsibility and I guess I forgot that. Rey Mysterio isn't in my league and because of that I really should have had his health in the forefront of my mind during that match...

Raven: Rey is the only person in the company to have a victory over you. He did take the title from you in fact-

The Miz: That was a fluke. I corrected that error within a week.

Raven: In a match with no lack of controversy...

The Miz: Sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands, you know that better than most people. Or have you forgotten about Sandman and Tommy Dreamer.

Raven: I can only wish that someday those two morons could exit my mind. Now, back to you. What is the deal with Rhino?

The Miz: The same as the deal with Evan Bourne, John Morrison, Kofi Kingston etc. etc. etc., they want MY title.

You know what I say to them? Bravo! I appreciate the initiative but, it takes more than that to win this title. I've got brains, I'm in the best shape of my life and consequently the most athletic person in the nation, I work harder and train harder than anyone else in the business today.

Listen man, I went through hell to get where I am. If those guys want to defeat me for this title, good for them, they should want that. Every single person wrestling today should want that, because I don't care if you're Kurt Angle or the Undertaker, you are not a true champion until you have faced me. All those other companies...they're frauds.

How can you be superb without the Awesome One? How can you claim to provide "wrestling" without The Miz? What is more Vintage than a well-placed Skull Crushing Finale? "The fuck" you say, I say it's me or you're selling the fans snake-oil.

Raven: Who do you think is a credible threat to your title, if anyone?

The Miz: Simple. The Miz. Because, only The Miz can beat The Miz. Quote:
There is no one on the planet that can take this title from me unless I let them.
And believe me when I tell you that I will not let another "fluke" blemish my title reign. I vow to retire as DWW Champion.

There will be no passing of the reins, no passing of the torch, no sobbing Shawn Michaels moment with the Undertaker of tomorrow, no, no, no...there will only be The Miz on top of the world going out as the best in the fucking business. I guarantee that to you Raven and to everyone watching this interview. You can trust me...cuz...I'm The Miz and I...AM...AWESOME!!!!!!!

[Cut back to the announcer's table]

Joel Gertner: Fascinating! Next up we've got a Three-way...dance putting Homicide against Amazing Red and Primo!

Match Summary:

Amazing Red comes out to “Rock Superstar” by Cypress Hill and does some back and forth with the fans before “Mr. P-Mosh” by Plastilina Mosh comes on and Primo makes his entrance to some mild response from the crowd. When “Grito Mundial” by Daddy Yankee starts to play the fans go nuts. Homicide enters through the crowd and climbs a turnbuckle.

The match starts off slow with the three playing cat and mouse with one another. Primo and Amazing Red nod to each other and then charge Homicide with a flurry of kicks, double-snap suplex on Homicide.

Red grabs Primo and goes for a DDT variation but Primo pushes him into the ropes, Red bounces off with a flipping clothesline that flips Primo onto his stomach. Homicide comes out of nowhere with the shining wizard and covers Red for a 2 count.

Primo gets to his feet and eats a running big boot from Homicide who gets another 2 count. Red applies a waist-lock from the rear then drops down for the school boy, Primo breaks up the pin with a drop kick. Pulls Red up and hits a Russian Legsweep before heading to the top rope, Homicide bounces off the ropes crotching Primo then nails a Frankensteiner.

Red hits a standing shooting star press onto Primo and goes for the pin but gets a head-butt by Homicide for his trouble. Homicide with a rollover schoolboy pin, Primo from a lying position nails Homicide in the skull with a kick. Primo gets to his feet, whips Homicide towards the ropes then reverses and hits a Back Stabber.

Before he can make the pin Amazing Red nails the Red Eye ((Jumping side slam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powerslam#Side_slam) twisted into a sitout side facebuster (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Facebuster#Sitout_facebuster)) then heads to the top rope. It’s the Infrared (540 corkscrew senton) for the 3 on Primo.
15 Minutes 12 seconds

Raven: Another amazing match from the flippity-flop boys. Seems like Homicide just can't catch a break, this is his second loss since coming to DWW.

Joel Gertner: Good showing by Amazing Red and for once Primo didn't look too awful.

Raven: Next up we have the team of Morrison and Kingston facing off against MVP and Sharkboy. What's up with this pairing?

Joel Gertner: Apparently after last week's defeat at the hands of the British Tigers MVP had enough of JTG and Alicia Fox. Shark Boy and MVP have been known to be pretty friendly in the locker room so this isn't really that surprising. Sort of reminds me of Balls Mahoney and Spike Dudley only if Balls Mahoney could wrestle.

Match Summary:

“Gold Digger” by Kanye West begins to play and MVP, trailed by Shark Boy, makes his entrance to a good deal of fan support. Kofi comes out to “One Love” and John Morrison comes out to “People are Strange”.

Before the match begins strange unidentifiable Japanese music begins to play and an unusual symbol appears on the Wrong-O-Tron. Both teams look confused before the match starts with Morrison and MVP locking up.

They grapple for just a moment before MVP whips Morrison into the ropes, he bounces off and goes for a clothesline and misses bouncing off the opposite ropes and stopping himself just short of an MVP standing drop-kick. With MVP down, Morrison drops an elbow onto the solar-plexis before getting to his feet and performing a picture-perfect standing moonsault for a pin, MVP kicks out at 2 with Shark Boy not making an attempt for the save and instead running back and forth from ring-post to ring-post trying to get the fans behind him and MVP.

Morrison tags out to Kofi who charges full speed towards MVP who counters with a flapjack. He jumps and makes the tag with Shark Boy who enters the ring via a top rope senton on the recovering Kofi. Shark Boy circles the ring making the shark-fin sign with his hand. Kofi groggily gets to his feet in time for brutal knee-lift that opens a cut on the side of his face.

Shark Boy seeing the blood goes crazy, kicks Kofi in the gut and nails a stunner for the pin. Kofi kicks out at 2.

Shark Boy comes off the ropes and Kofi counters with a back drop which he follows up with the Boom Drop.

Kofi goes for the pin and it's broken up by a rolling senton from MVP at the 2 count.

Kofi tags out ot Morrison who nearly knocks Shark Boy out with a spinning heel-kick. Morrison locks on a half-crab and as MVP enters the ring for the save drops the hold and nails MVP with a Nitro Blast (from the past). Shark Boy rolls the distracted Morrison up for a 2 count.

Morrison manages to whip Shark Boy into the corner before tagging Kofi back in. Morrison then whips Shark Boy towards Kofi at the turnbuckle who nails the Pendulum Kick then climbs to the top turnbuckle to launch a crossbody pin! MVP goes to break it up but, Morrison stops him with a leg-tackle for the 3 count.
12 minutes 45 seconds

After the match Kofi and Morrison shake hands with MVP and Shark Boy and exit through the crowd much to the fans' delight. MVP is looking somewhat pissed off as he and Shark Boy exit the ring together.

Raven: So MVP's new alliance has yet to pan out.

Joel Gertner: Up next we have Rhino in an another Anything Goes match against Rob Terry of the British Tigers. You know, I get that he's trying to earn a title match and he's pretty tough as proven by his days as the ECW World Heavyweight Champion but, if he keeps putting himself in these matches how much is he going to have left if he finally does face The Miz at SummerBANG'10?

Match Summary:

Rob Terry along with Magnus and Daffney come out to "Golden Years" by David Bowie. The fans shit all over them as they throw abuse at the audience at the Jacksonville, Florida Veterans Memorial Arena. Suddenly the lights go out and "Bring the Pain" by Method Man begins to play, Rhino enters with several spotlights following him to the ring, the crowd reaction is considerably greater than his one from last week.

Rob Terry and Rhino start things off with a staredown. Magnus breaks the silence with a chair-shot to the back of Rhino who doesn't even seem to notice. Magnus drops the chair and exits the ring clearly in shock. Terry hits a running clothesline on Rhino but fails to take him off his feet.

Rhino grabs Terry in a waist-lock picks him up and slams him down with an Alabama Slam. Mount punches ensue and now it's Daffney in the ring with a singapore cane, *whack*, but Rhino just stands up and forces her out of the ring through pure terror.

Terry gets to his feet and nearly knocks Rhino's head off with a chair-shot to the back of the skull. Rhino is dazed but still standing. Terry wraps his hand around Rhino's throat. Chokeslam!

Magnus comes off the top-turnbuckle with a double-foot stomp (Warrior's Way) as Daffney sets up a table on the outside right up against the ring. Terry and Magnus bump fists in celebration...a little too soon as Rhino gets back to his feet with nary a sign of injury. Rhino then grabs Magnus, knees him in the groin and snap-powerbombs him onto the steel chair.

Terry looks at Rhino in complete shock allowing himself to become victim to a brutal GORE, GORE GORE! Rhino puts a foot on his chest for the 3 count.
5 Minutes 14 seconds

After the match Daffney is in the ring helping Magnus to his feet when Rhino grabs the singapore cane and knocks Magnus out. Daffney tries to run but Rhino grabs her by the hair. The fans begin to chant "TABLE!" and a look of rage appears on Rhino's face. He pulls her over the ring ropes and destroys her with a Rhino-driver through the very table she set up mere moments before. With the British Tigers completely destroyed in the ring Rhino calls for a mic.

Raven: It's been a while since I've seen that kind of squash match and post-match beatdown. I have to admit it's kind of-

Joel Gertner: Turning you on too, eh?

Raven: That's not what I was going to say.

[Rhino catches the mic and walks to the center of the ring.]

Rhino: Miz, I'm coming for you. If I have to run through this entire locker-room to get to you...I will. If I have to GORE GORE GORE!!! every last person in this building...I will.

If I have to...I will. I will, I will I will BEAT YOU WITHIN AN INCH OF YOUR LIFE...if I have to.

[Rhino drops the mic and exits the ring as "Bring the Pain" by Method Man begins to play. The fans are divided in their response, some choosing to cheer on the psychopath and others just watching in disturbed silence.]

Joel Gertner: We may be witnessing Rhino's mental break-down.

Raven: That psychopath is one step closer to being the DWW World Champion, Joel.

Joel Gertner: It's time for tonight's Main Event!

Match Summary:

"Gasolina" by Daddy Yankee begins to play and Rey Mysterio makes his entrance from the audience. Next, his partner Evan Bourne comes down with "Clavicle" by the Alkiline Trio playing.

Then, "Sweet Leaf" by Black Sabbath begins to play and the Bogus Journeys Paul London and Brian Kendrick repel from the rafters and into the center of the ring. The fans nearly lose their shit.

“Six Barrel Shotgun” by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club begins to play and the Murder City Machine Guns come out to an extravagant fireworks display. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin come down the ring to a good deal more cheers than the prior week and it becomes apparent that the duo are now fan-favorites despite some interesting past behavior.

All six men stand in the ring looking somewhat confused, they realize that there is no ref. Suddenly the twangy "With my Baby Tonight" begins to play. The crowd goes wild with a mixture of intense boos and intense cheers. Jeff Jarrett emerges from the entrance way with a referee shirt

Jeff calls for the bell and the match starts off with Sabin, London and Evan Bourne. Sabin and London start things off smartly with a double-team clothesline/legsweep combo on Bourne, Sabin pulls Bourne up for the Bum Rush (swinging side-slam backbreaker), London effectively ends the short-term alliance with a dropkick to the side of Sabin's head, pulling him to his feet and putting him down again with a snap suplex.

London grabs Bourne and whips him into the ropes and misses a standing drop-kick as Bourne slides to the ground then jumps to his feet ala Shawn Michaels and nails London with a round-house kick to the head. Sabin recovers, catches Bourne from behind with a waist-lock, Bourne elbows his way free and reverses, hooks the leg and nails a Russian Legsweep.

London tags out to Brian Kendrick who whips Bourne into a corner then hits Dr. Smoothe's Secret Recipe before turning an hitting a running calf-kick on Sabin who crumples to the mat. The crowd is cheering and Brian takes the time to survey the damage.

Bourne recovers and tags out to Rey Mysterio who comes in with a springboard seated senton on Kendrick before nailing a standing moonsault for a 2 count that is broken up by a few quick kicks from Sabin.

Sabin tags out and Alex Shelley grabs Rey Mysterio and performs a picture perfect enziguri. Rey is down, Kendrick goes to the outside ring apron and stalks Shelley who realizes what's happening too late, Springboard Tornado DDT. Kendrick hooks a leg and Shelley kicks out at 2.

Mysterio still not moving, Double J checks him out. He calls for an EMT. The match is placed on hold as Rey Mysterio is taken out for the second week in a row on a stretcher. Evan Bourne accompanies him to the back.
6 minutes 28 seconds

Jarrett restarts the match and Kendrick locks up with Shelley. Shelley falls back with a monkey flip on Kendrick without letting go of his hands. Shelley rolls Kendrick onto his stomach then hooks the arm and leg for an abdominal stretch with his knee firmly placed into the back of Kendrick.

Sabin springboards into a dropkick on the defenseless Kendrick and Jarrett physically removes him from the ring. London rushes in and locks on the dragon sleeper. Kendrick gets to his feet and applies the figure-four leg-lock onto Shelley as Jarrett starts the 5 count.

Sabin nails a diving leg drop on Kendrick then clotheslines London. All four men in the ring, Double J announces that Tornado Tag rules are in effect. It's Sabin trading punches with London and Kendrick and Shelley blasting each other with kicks to the thigh. Shelley and Sabin both nail simultaneous enziguris. Sabin gets Kendrick up for the Cradle Shock (cross-legged samoan driver) as Shelley gets London up for the Sliced Bread #2. The ring shakes from the impact, MCMG go for the double-pins and London and Kendrick get arms up at 2 and 4/5. MCMG is in shock.

MCMG pull the Bogus Journeys onto their feet and set-up for front-suplexes only to have them countered with DDTs. The B.J.s hook the legs for 2 counts. Paul with the assist on a Kendrick moonsault that hits Sabin hard. 2 and 3/4 Sabin kicks out. B.J.s pull Shelley to his feet, Get Well Soon (Reverse STO by Kendrick/Jumping enziguri by London). B.J.s both pin Shelley, Sabin for the save out of nowhere with a summersault senton and all four men are down. Sabin shoves London out of the ring then launches himself over the top rope with a Leap of Faith Suicide plancha.

Kendrick covers Shelley for a 2 count. Kendrick pulls Shelley up and whips him into the corner, following it up with a dropkick. Shelley dodges causing Kendrick to get stuck in the ring ropes. Sabin on the outside recovers from the suicide dive. Rolls London into the ring. They pull him to his feet and nails the ASCS Rush! (spinning sole kick by Sabin followed up by a super-kick by Shelley followed by a double-jumping enziguri). MCMG hooks the legs for a double-pin. 3 and it's over!

[Gertner spots Evan Bourne after the match-up.]

Joel Gertner: Evan! I'd like to ask you about Rey Mysterio's condition. Haven't seen someone go down like that since the last time I contracted syphilis! Got an update?

Evan Bourne: Rey's doing as well as can be expected. The doctors think that the concussion he suffered last week was a lot worse than they originally thought.

Joel Gertner: So the Miz effectively took Mysterio out of action?

Evan Bourne:The Miz wanted to make an example of Rey and I understand his thinking. He's a twisted guy, I'm not going to lie. He forgot the fact that when you're in the ring with another human being you aren't just wrestling with another challenger for the World Title. You're wrestling with that persons friends, their family, their entire career.

Miz, you have a lot of talent, nobody denies that. You have devoted yourself completely to this business, most people respect that. The problem is you have lost your humanity.

Rey has a wife and kids. You put his life in danger with your actions and that is unacceptable. You don't deserve that title. You don't deserve the opportunity that you have earned, and yes, I said "earned". You disrespected the sport, you disrespected the fans and most of all you disrespected a man who has done more for this business than anyone else here.

You walked away thinking that you proved something, that you won a match against a legend but, you know what the saddest thing about all of it was? You lost that match and you still haven't realized it.

[Evan walks away leaving Joel Gertner staring after him. Fade to black.]

TIW Wednesday Night Chaos Week Two

Location: The Spectrum in Philadelphia
Announcers: Todd Grisham and Josh Mathews
Ring Announcer: Tony Chimel

Tony Chimel: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Commissioner of TIW, Mick Foley.

Segment #1: Commissioner Foley

Mick Foley: Good evening Philly! I am still a little sore from that Tombstone last week but we will get to that later on. In three weeks time we will witness the first Pay Per View in TIW history, named Back to Basics. I used last week’s six-man tag to judge the talent here and I believe an answer has been found. Tonight’s main event will be a triple threat match between Christian, AJ Styles, and Rob Van Dam. The winner of that match will go on to compete for the Heavyweight title at Back to Basics. The other two will compete for the tag team titles at the ppv. Next week we will have the same stipulations in the triple threat between Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntrye. Now let’s get to the action.

Match #1: Samoa Joe vs. David Otunga and Vladimir Kozlov

The Samoan Submission Machine wants to prove last week’s win over Big Zeke and Shad was no fluke so he was granted another handicap match against a powerhouse duo. Kozlov starts the match out and is able to block and counter some early strikes from Joe. After Joe takes control with a clothesline and release German suplex, Otunga tags himself in. Joe quickly takes Otunga down and submits him to the rear naked choke. After the match, Joe yells at Kozlov to come in the ring but Vlad turns around and heads to the back.

Match #2: Natalya Neidhart vs. Michelle McCool

The first ever women’s match on TIW Chaos begins with McCool on the advantage after a cheapshot before the bell. She utilizes a body scissors and multiple leg drops before missing a second rope moonsault. Natalya gets on the offense with a dropkick and scoop slam. Finish comes when Natalya counters the Faith breaker into the sharpshooter and McCool taps out.

Match #3: James Storm w/Robert Roode vs. Hernandez

Video package is shown recapping last week’s match between Roode and Chavo Guerrero and the post-match beat down with Hernandez making the save. This match begins as Storm unsuccessfully tries to get the big man off of his feet. Roode tries to trip Hernandez and Storm takes advantage of the distraction with a chop block. Storm locks in a figure four and Roode is helping behind the ref’s back. Chavo Guerrero comes down and fights Roode to the back. Finish comes when Hernandez blocks a super kick attempt and pins Storm after a Border Toss.

Segment#2: Ted DiBiase addresses the audience

Ted DiBiase comes out with his girlfriend Michelle McCool. He requests a microphone.
Ted: Last week all of you witnessed my greatness in the ring. Now I will show you my greatness outside of it. See, just like my father, I can buy anything, or anyone, I choose. To prove this, I want to invite the man I defeated and embarrassed last week to join me in the ring.

Skip Sheffield comes down the ramp with a pissed off look and joins DiBiase and McCool in the ring.

Ted: Now I know that you are angry that I shoved money down your throat last week. However, I notice you did not give it back so I am going to give you the opportunity to earn some more. My lady and I could use some foot massages and I will give you $1000 to do it right now.

Crowd shouts out no as Skip looks conflicted. He gets down on his knees and begins to massage the feet of McCool. Ted uses this opportunity to hit Skip with Dream Street and McCool begins stomping on Sheffield’s body. Natalya runs down and clears the ring as Ted and Michelle smile and laugh while going back up the ramp.

Interview #1: Beer Money Inc.

Beer Money Inc. is interviewed in the back.
Storm: So the Mexicans want to stick together huh? They think that we won’t destroy them? Last week Hernandez brought up the Guerrero family legacy and we’re glad they did.
Roode: Next week we are going to pay tribute to the Guerrero family in a way that
Only Beer Money Inc. can.

Segment #3: The gong hits and out comes the Phenom himself, The Undertaker.

Undertaker: I am not going to waste any time here tonight. Mick Foley, get your ass down to this ring and I will tell you face to face why I did what I did last week.

Foley’s music hits and he joins Taker in the ring.

Taker: You know Mick; I think I have had a pretty good career. Undefeated at WrestleMania, multiple time world champion, and generally have been the most feared man in this industry. But you know what the question I get asked the most is? Hey, aren’t you the guy who threw Mankind off of the cage? Then they talk about how tough Mick Foley is. Well if people are going to associate me with you, then that association is going to be me taking you out for good.

Foley: Don’t you understand Mark? That Hell in a Cell match effectively ended my career. I was never the same and I still feel the pain every day I wake up. But since you signed with TIW and you seem to be looking for a fight, I think I have just the man to face you at Back to Basics.

Samoa Joe sneaks through the crowd and applies the rear naked choke to The Undertaker, who fights it but eventually passes out. Foley then announces Joe vs. Taker for the ppv.

Match #4 main event: Christian vs. AJ Styles vs. RVD

We are reminded of the importance of this match as all three men shake each other’s hands and the bell rings. Lots of attempted roll ups that are broken up by the third man. Christian dumps RVD over the ropes and turns into a spinning heel kick by Styles. AJ with the brain buster on Christian and climbs the ropes but RVD throws him off. RVD hits the split-legged moonsault on Christian, but there is a kick out at two. AJ pulls him out of the ring and hits RVD with a backbreaker. He then sets up for the Styles Clash but RVD counters with a backdrop and a Rolling Thunder. Christian comes off the top rope with a missile dropkick on RVD and throws him out of the ring. Christian hits the Killswitch on AJ and goes for the cover. RVD off the top with a 5 Star Frog Splash but Christian moves and RVD hits Styles. Christian hits the Killswitch on RVD and gets the 1, 2, 3. Christian will compete for the Heavyweight title at Back to Basics.

After the match all three wrestler again shake hands but are attacked by Sheamus, McIntyre, and Ziggler. Sheamus hits the Celtic Cross on Christian and promises he will see him at the ppv but the other two tell Sheamus not to get ahead of himself. The show ends with Sheamus, McIntyre, and Ziggler all staring at each other.

Chet and Rex speculate on who it could be. Will John Cena be in the building tonight to explain his arrival and actions last week?

Gorman's music hits. Gorman and Gallows to ring.
Gorman begins talking about Cena and confirms he will be in the arena tonight by order of The Boss. He says Cena isn't in the limo. Here in LAW he can take a cab like the rest of the boys.

Jericho's music hits.
Jericho picks up the mic to talk.
Big Show's music hits before he can talk.
Then Desmond Wolfe's music hits.

Wolfe starts speaking first. He talks about how he came here with the best intentions. He came here to be the best. He came here to be champion, and last week, when he saw he was getting a shot at the tourney, he kept his mouth shut.
But after last week, he sees that the squeaky wheel gets the oil.
It's about making a statement. John Cena made a statement, and look where it got him. He's the first item on Gorman's list.

Jericho interrupts. He says these two hypocrites can pad their insecurities all night, or they can get down to business. Who is in the world title tournament?

Gorman says Big Show and Jericho will meet again tonight, and there will be a winner regardless of what happens.
Desmond Wolfe looks irate.

Gorman says not to worry. He's got something in mind for Wolfe. Since he wants to make a statement, he can make one on his own.
Tonight Desmond Wolfe will face John Cena.

John Cena's music hits. He comes down to the ring and grabs the microphone from Gorman. He says he that he doesn't know who Gorman answers to, but he should answer to him right now.
He says he signed with LAW because he needs to be champion. When The Incident occured, he was champion. He never lost the title, and for that reason he can't sleep at night until he has THE belt again. LAW is where he wants to do it, so he signed the dotted line without asking any questions.
Gorman was the man who came to him on behalf of The Boss, and got him to sign, but he was promised the title.

Gorman says tough shit and walks out of the ring.

Big Show vs Chris Jericho: Winner enters The LAW World Title Tournament.

Jericho paces around the ring awaiting Big Show's arrival. He mocks him and says it looks like this might be even easier than he
thought. Big Show's music hits and he limps to the ring nursing his shoulder.
Big Show attacks Jericho instantly. He grabs the throat early but cannot lift him. He tries the other arm, but Jericho kicks his
knees. Big Show bends over in pain. Jericho hits the codebreaker. He taunts the crowd.
He hits the Lionsault and stands over Big Show, pinning him with one foot while posing.
Jericho wins and celebrates. He points to his waist.

A graphic for the upcoming tournament is shown, with Jericho occupying one of four spots on the bracket. The other 3 are empty.

*break*

Wade Barrett vs Santino Marella.
Santino Marella begins to mock Wade Barrett.
Barrett hits a violent Wasteland on Santino and pins him. He stands up and spits on Marella.
He grabs the microphone and talks about how there is no place for jokes when it comes to his agenda. He wants the gold and that's
that. He will continue to prove it until Gorman takes notice and stops pampering his overrated purchases.

*Backstage* Parking Lot*
Chris Jericho is seen getting out of the limousine. The limousine drives away from the arena and Jericho walks away with a
sinister smile on his face.

Desmond Wolfe vs John Cena: Winner enters the LAW World Title Tournament
After early offense from Wolfe, Cena begins to turn the tides.

Wolfe brings a chair in the ring, but is stopped before using it.

Cena locks on the STFU. Wolfe nearly reaches the ropes but Cena rolls over, keeping the hold on, and has Wolfe in the center of the ring. Wolfe rolls it over and reaches the ropes. The crowd is shocked.

Cena looks frustrated and slightly pleads with the referee. Wolfe grabs the chair and suprises him with a shot to the back.

Wolfe climbs to the top and waits for Cena to stagger to his feet. He jumps for a cross body.
John Cena catches Wolfe out of the air and hoists him onto his shoulders. Attitude Adjustment on the chair. Hooks the leg and scores the pinfall.

Cena wins but doesn't look satisfied.

Will the booker know of our power list?

I will make one Star Power list based on the lists you all submit. Let's say Kurt Angle is number one on your list. He'll get five points. Anyone who appears on a list will get anywhere between one and five points, depending on their placement. The top five points will be the top five Star Power.

Anybody Thrilla

You don't even have to worry about star power. It's for the judges to pick the five people in the entire Armchair universe who they think are the MOST over. Just top five. I'll take care of the rest.

Anybody Thrilla

There will be bonus points awarded during the PPV round for having any of your roster on the Star Power list, depending on their placement. Five extra points if number one is your guy, and one extra point if number five is your guy, etc. Yes, there is a chance that all five guys could be yours, leading to an entire 15 extra points. I doubt that will happen, though.

Even though the Star Power doesn't actually COUNT until the PPV round, I just wanted to track it during the TV rounds so you guys knew who was most over in the eyes of the judges.

VCW: Once again was strong. Had a good opener with the Perfect/Hogan confrontation. All the matches were booked very well as well and the ending twist was nice. Wonder who is stalking the game?

SCW: Liked the battle royal and the tag matches (had a feeling it was gonna be 1-1 lol). They are doing everything right I feel. Although I never really liked Hawkins/Archer, I like where that storyline is going.

DWW: Again, feels like a ECW-esque company which is nice and the 'uncensored' feel to the company is cool. Although I was somewhat put off on Mysterio getting stretchered out again but I accepted it.

TIW: Something still seems off from this one, but I still liked the show. Joe/Taker has def. potential to be a big match. The 3-way was a bit odd to me but I liked it. Looking forward to the next one.

LAW: Better than the first show. Enjoyed the matches (especially Ryder's 'upset' win). Not much I can really say.

So yea my comments are briefer than last week for sure but I think that's because I know what to expect now and because all of the shows seem on average but whatever. Your doing good, looking forward to week 3.

2. SCW
3. TIW
4. VCW
5. LAW

It's the current TNA and WWE guys because they're the ones with name-recognition. Companies like ROH and CZW stayed in business due to their niche.

Also a lot of guys on the indie scene aren't capable of wrestling for a company with a wellness policy. Obviously a lot of us allow a certain leeway there as RVD, Paul London, Brian Kendrick and a bunch of other guys are still smoking pot and wrestling on live television.

Ok I will post my reviews in parts. First off, VCW:

Another great show, chap! I was impressed by the sheer professionalism of it, you included commercial breaks and accounted for timings for the breaks as well (indirectly). A promo package for the upcoming PPV, good marketing there.

Ok now you got me interested in the whole Orton-Anderson saga. You never explicitly mention the bad blood they are supposed to have in WWE world, but its a good hook anyway. I sure hope you are done with the tag title scenario, because that was the weakest part of the show for me. If not, you better have something good from those two tag teams else I am changing channels.

Match 4 would have been better understood if it was mentioned explicitly who was facing whom, but its not a big deal. I like your style of making someone a major heel, I want to see Cody in the big leagues now that he seems to be the biggest heel you got.

Intercontinental chase tournament? Sounds cool, I understand why you got Henry in there with the rest of the clear-cut cruiserweights. I will wait and see what happens in the coming weeks before talking on this.

Main event time and boy did it deliver! I like the suspense you built initially with HHH going astray with everyone, and the Taz-like titantron sequence. You definitely have built expectations here, and you better deliver.

Keep it up!

VSG
07-29-2010, 09:55 PM
All righty then, SCW, its your turn.

Your tag team division is clearly the main focus of your show, so make sure it gets all the attention it deserves. I got no issues whatsoever with a round robin competition, and each team is getting good publicity.

Lol@Heath Slater, but I still don't buy him as a comedy goof. Same with Curt Hawkins, I get the motivation but you will be hard pressed to sell him to be on the same level as Edge to me. So far so good though.

I liked Jeff eliminating Matt in the battle royal. Shades of discontent all over, and this might be the last thing they needed in the tag title scenario. I personally can't see the Brits or the South beach boys winning this at this stage, so this issue will be important.

About the SCW title scenario, Angle vs Swagger promises to be a great wrestling contest. I want to see some story here, the audience might want more than just technical wrestling. What's the deal with Kane and Abyss? What about CM Punk? Questions I want to know the answers to, and with 2 straight solid shows this show is the Smackdown! of Armchair Warfare if I do say so myself.

Lock Jaw's Fantastic Reviews, Week Two!

Greetings to you, the bookers! Welcome to this week's review from Judge Lock Jaw! Five shows, each with their own merits! But how do they stack against each other when going head to head? Find out using Judge Lock Jaw's unique judging system!

For the purposes of judging, I will be placing each show side by side, as if they were on at the same time. I will be giving out points. 3 for what the causal fan would watch (assuming they have no brand loyalty and are just switching between all shows like me), 2 for what I would watch, and 1 for what I would first watch on youtube the next day. I'll also give a bonus .5 points for one of the other feds, just because I can.

So, without further ado... (under spoilers just to keep it more concise)

Opening Segments

VCW starts off its show with Joe Perfect. A great way to kick things off, as many fans have been talking about this personality change and will no doubt want to see what it is all about. Unfortunately, things go downhill from there as Joe Perfect loses via intentional count-out to Randy Orton. He does slap Hulk Hogan, but he winds up looking somewhat of a coward. Mr. Anderson then comes out and Randy Orton runs away, making Orton look like a coward as well.

SCW opens with more tag team round-robin action as we see The British Guys defeat the Young Bucks. British Guys also get some promo time pre-match to establish their characters and legitimacy.

DWW inexplicably opens up with JTG defeating Jesse Neal, which is a pretty horrible way to open a show. Thankfully, it is a quick match, and we move into an interview with The Miz. Miz bashes the other companies, which is a nice touch. He vows to retire champion. Miz is again presented as an unstoppable force, and it seems that in the history of this company, Rey Mysterio has been the only one to beat him, and since then Miz has beaten him thoroughly multiple times and sent him home injured. So that further closes that angle. Not sure I buy Miz as an unstoppable force, either.

TIW opens with Foley setting up the main events and set up for the PPV. He says that Christian/RVD/Styles proved themselves and will face each other for a shot to be in the title match. Then despite not proving themselves and being the losers, it is announced that the same deal will happen between Sheamus/McIntyre/Ziggler next week, which seems like a flimsy setup to keep things face vs heel. Samoa Joe then squashes Otunga and Kozlov, further solidifying him as a monster at the expense of others.

LAW sees an awkward segment where Jericho/Big Show/Wolfe all interrupt each other before talking. Then Wolfe and Jericho both make statements (while Big Show forgets about saying anything). Cena then comes out and says he wants the title. Main events are set.

Verdict: VCW is definitely the strongest, building off of a point of interest from last week.

Casual Fan Watches: VCW (+3 Points)
Lock Jaw Watches: VCW (+2 Points)
First to get Youtube'd: DWW (+1 Point) I probably would have watched this one first if I didn't see JTG and Jesse Neal right off the bat.
Bonus: LAW for giving Wolfe some mic time, and more references to The Incident (+0.5 Points)

Section #1

VCW sees Mr. Anderson beat Great Khali fairly quickly. Orton then is backstage, talks about fighting Anderson "on his terms". I must admit I am a bit confused over who is supposed to be the heel and who is supposed to be the face in this feud. I thought Orton was the face, but then he ran away and is now talking about all this "on his terms" stuff. Dudleys then beat the Usos for the tag titles in another short match. Usos are given some personality before the match, but the Dudleys winning in even less time than last week seems to effectively shut down this angle.

SCW: Heath Slater is booted by Abyss backstage. Ok. Curt Hawkins then cuts a promo, and Edge defeats Vance Archer. He is then beat down by Hawkins/Archer post-match. A good continuation of the angle, but again, Edge beats one of his enemies cleanly on the very first go around.

DWW sees Amazing Red defeat Homicide and Primo. Yeah.

TIW sees Natalya beat Michelle McCool. Yeah.

LAW has Zach Ryder beat Eli Cottonwood, who isn't too happy. Matt Morgan then beats DH Smith after botched interference by Tyson Kidd, this could perhaps be leading somewhere. THE BOSS is revealed to be in the limo... but who is he?

Verdict:

Casual Fan Watches: SCW (+3 Points)
Lock Jaw Watches: SCW (+2 Points)
First to get Youtube'd: DWW (+1 Point)
Bonus: I considered giving it to VCW for trying to give the Usos characters, but with them decisively losing, I say meh and give the bonus to LAW (+0.5 Points)

Section #2

VCW sees Cody Rhodes send a message to Goldust by beating down Husky Harris. A good little angle that builds up for Goldust's eventual return.

SCW sees The HardyZ beat the South-Beach Boys with more weirdness/dissension from Matt Hardy. Could we be building to yet another Matt Hardy heel turn followed by yet another Matt/Jeff feud?!

DWW has Kofi/Morrison (AKA "The MidCarders") defeat MVP and Shark Boy. Pre-match there is some weird Japanese symbols and music. Interesting.

TIW has Hernandez beat James Storm after Chavo chases Roode away.

LAW has Yoshi Tatsu beat Justin Gabriel, and then Michael Tarver beatdown Big Show. Huge boost for Tarver.

Verdict: A lot of good/interesting stuff going on here.

Casual Fan Watches: SCW (+3 Points)
Lock Jaw Watches: TIW (+2 Points). I am a fan of this angle.
First to get Youtube'd: VCW (+1 Point)
Bonus: LAW for Tarver (+0.5 Points)

Section #3

VCW continues to "TNA it up" with a Frenzied Five-Way that sees Suicide eliminated and Eric Young come out to try to take Suicide's mask.

DWW has Rhino beat Rob Terry and run through Brutus Magnus and Daffney as well. He then picks up a mic and says "I want the gold, sucka! Miz, I comin' for you, nigga!"

TIW has a bunch of small little segments here. DiBiase buys Skip Sheffield and then beats him down until... Natalya? comes to make the save. Beer Money then talks about the Guerrero legacy and paying tribute next week. Like I said, I am a fan of that angle, so good. We then have a weird angle between Taker/Foley. The end result was Samoa Joe vs Taker being set up for the PPV, which is a good thing but... the way it is booked and written, it seems as if the writer is throwing away they "aura" around Taker's character that has made him such a success, tries to turn him heel (which I'm not buying), has a flimsy excuse for his hatred for Foley, and then Foley further takes away from Taker by breaking kayfabe. Very poorly done all around.

LAW has Jericho easily beat Big Show after Tarver's beatdown. Barrett then squashes Santino, says he wants the title. Jericho seen leaving the boss' limo. MYSTERY!

Verdict:

Casual Fan Watches: TIW (+3 Points), despite being terrible.
Lock Jaw Watches: TIW (+2 Points), again despite it being bad, I would tune in. After seeing it, I may choose not to tune in to the angle next week, though.
First to get Youtube'd: LAW (+1 Point)
Bonus: DWW (+0.5 Points) for trying its best to establish Rhyno as a legit contender again.

Main Events:

VCW has Jay Lethal promise to introduce the "real" Jay Lethal. He then defeats Triple H via roll-up when Haitch is distracted by mysterious messages. Lethal is then saved again by the lights going out. Still a big boost to Lethal no doubt, but I fear he is going to get lost and overshadowed by the mysterious savior. Also, not buying Triple H as a heel just yet, without a monster heel promo or anything from him. He beat up Jay Lethal last week, fine. Being as over a face as he is, that wouldn't necessarily turn him heel. Really needed the heel promo to solidify things.

SCW has a massive over-the-top battle royale. Which I am a sucker for. A few good spots in the match. Hawkins/Archer continue to work together and eliminate Edge right off the bat. Kane/Abyss showdown. Jeff eliminates Matt. In the end Swagger and Angle win. Punk is eliminated last, but it seems as if Punk as a threat is over, which is a shame since he is more over as a heel than Swagger is at the moment.

DWW has the MCMG successfully defend their titles against Rey Bourne and Londrick. Also, for some reason, Jeff Jarrett is the referee. Rey leaves halfway on a stretcher, Bourne goes with. Catch up with Bourne after the match who gives an update on Rey and says that The Miz is EEEEEVIL. Left with the general feeling of "The Miz is an unstoppable monster, who can stop him?".

TIW has Christian beat RVD and Styles. Beatdown by SheamIntiggler after the match.

LAW has Cena beat Wolfe in a surprisingly competitive match.

Verdict:

Casual Fan Watches: VCW (+3 Points)
Lock Jaw Watches: SCW (+3 Point). Like I said, I'm a sucker for a battle royale.
First to get Youtube'd: VCW (+1 Point)
Bonus: LAW (+0.5 Points) for Cena not squashing Wolfe.

Final Tally

1) VCW: 1.0 + 0.3 Week 1 "Buzz" Bonus = 1.3 (Up 0.8)
2) SCW: 1.1 (Down 0.3)
3) TIW: 0.7 (Up 0.55)
4) LAW: 0.3 (Up 0.1)
5) DWW: 0.25 (Down 0.55)

The Buzz

DWW took the biggest dive in ratings this week, and was hurt by a weak opening, and strong main events by the other companies.

Nevertheless, despite being new to the market, word is getting out about it. Fans in the area are beginning to clue in to The Miz being a total unstoppable heel. Some are doubtful about an average sized individual with no or little allies being unstoppable, but their curiosity is piqued. Can anybody stop The Miz? With Miz returning to TV next week, the fans may just tune in to find out.

DWW will receive an automatic +3 Points for next week's show!

I've created this "sock" account for all of the Armchair Warfare bookers to air their thoughts/clear things up/etc without having to reveal which show is theirs.

This is the VCW booker answering/counterpointing...

Ok now you got me interested in the whole Orton-Anderson saga. You never explicitly mention the bad blood they are supposed to have in WWE world, but its a good hook anyway.
Mr Anderson referenced the fact that Orton got him fired in the opening segment of Show 1.

I sure hope you are done with the tag title scenario, because that was the weakest part of the show for me. If not, you better have something good from those two tag teams else I am changing channels.
I have seen that a lot of you don't like my tag teams. Do you know where the Dudleys were on my 50 man "Draft Board"? They weren't! I got them becaues my roster was still 3 short after the draft. Hopefully, I have come up with an interesting enough storyline despite the teams not being the MCMG or Beer Money, etc.

Match 4 would have been better understood if it was mentioned explicitly who was facing whom, but its not a big deal. I like your style of making someone a major heel, I want to see Cody in the big leagues now that he seems to be the biggest heel you got.
Is it not clear that the match is between Cody and Harris? Sorry if not. Cody the biggest heel I have, interesting. HHH? Perfect?

I must admit I am a bit confused over who is supposed to be the heel and who is supposed to be the face in this feud. I thought Orton was the face, but then he ran away and is now talking about all this "on his terms" stuff.
I established that Orton cost Anderson his livelihood in Show 1, that's not a very "face" thing to have done. He then went on to RKO his own partner and has ducked from being face to face with Anderson cos Anderson wants to "shove his fist down Orton's throat". I guess cos he's a face/tweener/loose cannon irl it's hard to directly establish him as a heel straight away.

Also, not buying Triple H as a heel just yet, without a monster heel promo or anything from him. He beat up Jay Lethal last week, fine. Being as over a face as he is, that wouldn't necessarily turn him heel. Really needed the heel promo to solidify things.
HHH brutally attacked Lethal (his partner) at the end of show 1 cos the guy made a joke. He then hit him with a sledgehammer after losing to him. Given that Lethal has pretty much always been a "fun loving, happy go lucky, plucky face" I thought those attacks would have been enough.

All-in-all, it seems that one of my major issues is that I haven't clearly defined some of the heel/face lines as well as I had thought. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Armchair Booker
07-31-2010, 12:50 PM
DWW Booker here to explain a few things:

British Tigers are made up of former Global Elite stable mates Rob Terry and Brutus Magnus. Both are from TNA. I didn't stick them together just because they're both British.

MVP and JTG were put together because of their common race, and criminal pasts. Also both from the same company.

Rey Mysterio is not my #1 baby-face, he's top 5 though. I also don't consider his defeat and injury at the hands of Miz a "clean" win. The Burning Hammer is a move that has legitimately broken many necks throughout the sport. Kayfabe-wise it's extremely dangerous. Rey Mysterio was down and instead of going for the win, The Miz attempted to end his career.

The Miz is not unstoppable like Brock Lesnar, he's just very motivated and extremely tricky. He has managed to hold onto the title for the majority of the life of DWW and doesn't have plans on losing it to some goody-goody like Evan Bourne, a psychopathic garbage wrestler like Rhino or that douche he used to tag with John Morrison.

The World and World Tag Team titles are considered to be "equal" in the eyes of DWW and Terry Funk. Those people in contention for the titles are considered to be Main Event to Upper-Midcard status.

I've enjoyed all the comments. I hope you guys like what I'm going for. Something of a mixture of WCW and ECW (that's what I'm trying for.)

I'll be very brief:

VCW
Once again, VCW was leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. I think it has a little bit of everything and I am loving the cliffhanger with Triple H. Orton/Anderson was an awesome way to open the show. I loved the Joe Perfect/Hogan incident and to see the explanation next week. Top to bottom just a great show!

DWW
DWW skyrocketed this week in my rankings. I don't know if I just got a better grasp on the show or if it was just "cleaner" this week but I loved it. The Miz is a shining star in DWW and I look forward to see where his character progresses. The opening tag match was good. .

SCW
Similar to LAW and TIW, but a bit more detailed which helps bring out the imagination and visualization of the content. I like the tag team focus, and it has that young vibe to it that has some energy to it. Keep it up.

LAW
LAW and TIW are very similar in their "compact" style, so there isn't a whole lot to bring out the imagination when visualizing the storylines and matches presented. Good show, and keep it up. I feel that all the feds are pretty even, except for VCW who has gotten a hotter start and DWW who stepped it up this week.

TIW
While compact, there was some good stuff in the show. Undertaker/Foley was nice. I like the direction you are going with Ted DiBiase. I personally would like to see more storylines but I get a RoH vibe from TIW. (Probably why its called THIS IS WRESTLING eh?)

Impeccable
08-01-2010, 11:44 AM
I've been looking forward to this since the first week. Only just got round to reading it all. Have been on holiday this week, and trying to get through chunks of it on my mobile phone while I was away from home.

I love all the shows. Some are admittedly stronger than others.

My thoughts on each;

Vintage Championship Wrestling

This is so well written, and I love Hogan and Cole on commentary. It probably shouldn't work, but it does.
I think I'm a mark for Joe Perfect - Orton vs Joe Perfect was a great idea, but I wondered how you would keep Joe strong when up against Orton, who let's be fair to say should be going over Joe perfect every day of the week..excellent booking!
Mr. Anderson going over Khali was a given, but keeps Anderson's momentum up.
Looking forward to seeing how the Anderson/Orton feud simmers and then spills over.
Not a fan of the Uso's or the Dudleys in real life, so maybe I'm biased, but I feel the tag division of VCW is probably the weak link. Not sure how you can build the tag divison based on these two teams.
Cody Rhodes with a mean streak - that shit is OVER
In the International championship scene, I feel that everyone who has gone through is of the right caliber/overness for the belt. There is no real need to build characters yet, as they all have a purpose in chasing the title. I've got my fingers crossed for Henry.
"The Real" Jay Lethal = :y:
Heel Triple H = :y:
Jay Lethal over heel Triple H = :y::y::y::y:
Interested to see where the "greed" signs go. It's very interesting.
While VCW is a clear leader already, I think it possibly benefits from it's position as first at the moment. After reading it, I tried to read SCW, but had to stop and leave it for a bit. How do you follow something written and booked that well? VCW sets the bar so high.

Superb Championship Wrestling

I love tag team wrestling. SCW has tag team wrestling! Some brilliant teams and combinations, and I probably already mark out for Regal and Williams as a team!
I love the idea of a round robin for the tag team division.
Not sure if I'm supposed to find Heath Slater as comical as I do, but if I am supposed to, it's working. Genius booking.
Like Archer and Hawkins, and could see them a a good addition to the tag team division. Hawkins mic work was well written, and the match between Archer and Edge made sense and had a back story.
Having said that, not sure Hawkins vs Edge as a feud would sustain my interest. There's not enough in it at the moment. It will be interesting to see how this is booked to make Hawkins look like a real threat (and that is the aim of armchair warfare). I hope to be proved wrong.
Love the chemistry between the Hardy's, and want to see a feud between them. Well booked tag match to advance this storyline.
The show possibly needed more Flair.
20 man battle royal, well booked, and advanced more stories than you'd think it was possible to.
Angle vs Swagger...excellent combination for the main event of the first PPV.
Overall, good show and well booked, planting the seeds (or in some cases growing the seeds) for further feuds and matches.

Dead Wrong Wrestling

Loved the opening and Gertner and Raven interaction. Doesn't feel forced.
Opening match would have had me switching over (sorry). JTG vs Jesse Neal...ugh.
Raven/Miz interview - segment of the week for me (across all shows).
How awesome and evil is the Miz coming across?
Homicide vs Amazing Red vs Primo would have probably been a better opening match. It's a good combination of styles, and glad to see Red pick up the win.
Will be interesting to see how Homicide reacts to losses.
MVP and Sharkboy? Wassupwidat team? Wierd, but probably quite comical.
Felt that Kofi and Morrison are wasted teaming. Could add much more to singles division.
Love the fact that Rhino is getting a push. Of all the guys across all the brands, I am most happy that he is getting a deserved run in the main event.
Main event tag match - meh. Personally, I wouldn't have had the tag match followed by interview to end the show.
Kind of feel that the organisation suffers from lack of starpower, maybe drew the short straw in the roster picks? That's why it was a great idea to have the fed already started and established and give everyone a bit of back story.

This Is Wrestling

Commissioner Foley makes me feel like I've travelled back to late 2000. I like it.
Love how Samoa Joe is being portrayed as un unstoppable machine. Fits his character.
Women's wrestling...fast forward...glad Nattie went over in the end.
Beer Money vs Hernandez and Chavo get's a big thumbs up from me. Like the story behind why Hernandez feels the need to save Chavo
Ted DiBiase and Michelle McCool causing money related havoc also get's a big thumbs up. However, I cannot believe that Ted AND Michelle would be run out by Nattie.
Evil Taker!!! Wow. I love absolutely love the way he explained his actions. Perfect!
Samoa Joe vs Undertaker! Now that's a match!
Christian vs AJ vs RVD - it's stuff that dreams are made of.
I like the little faction of Sheamus, McIntyre and Ziggler.
I think that if booked right, TIW potentially has the strongest main event scene!

Lethal Action Wrestling

I don't want to be too critical, but after reading other's before this, the actual writing and booking is lacking. It feels like a half arsed attempt (sorry).
It's made worse by the fact that it is a really, really strong roster.
Morgan going over is good.
Tarver taking out Big Show was probably the highlight for me.
Anytime Jericho wins is good with me. Probably good for him to beat someone like The Big Show...gives him HUGE bragging rights
Wade Barrett push on the cards - I like this.
Best storyline going for this is who is the Boss?
Feel bad the Desmond Wolfe hasn't advanced, however based on Cena's storyline, it made sense for him to go on to the tournament.
I think ideas need to be bucked up...by far the weakest (sorry). There seems to be less talking points than any of the others.

VCW

Much better then week 1. The promo by the USO's actually gives them a personality and characters now. Good job there. I still don't like your tag division. The Dudley Boys are the same Dudleys we've seen for the past 10 years. I don't really want to see them carry the belts. It just feels way to easy to book the same Dudley Boys. Give them another gimmick other then being "Deadly." Or Can't you bring in two other guys to kill them off?

Same thing with Kennedy. Really? Misterrrrrrrrr Keneddy? Same old shit.

Again, loved the Joe Perfect segment. I kind of wish you booked double DQ instead of having Perfect take the loss, but ok. You kind of gayed up Hulk though after he was slapped. "It's ok, it's not your fault" Are Hulk and Cole gay lovers now? This is fucking Hulk Hogan. A guy named Hulk stands up and stairs down Perfect. He doesn't get apoligetic (sp) But Joe is awesome and can't wait to see him and Hulk one on one.

Cody/Harris: Loved how you had Cody paint his face Gold. That shit has Borne Again (I don't even know if you'll get the referance) written all over it. Great angle with him

The Fiveway Match: Great stuff. Love the concept. You're midcard is very strong

HHH/Lethal: ok, I have to apoligize here. No wonder XL said what he said. I never read the part last week about HHH turning on Lethal. I must of glanced right over it. So now I see what you did. I would of killed you last week though by turning HHH heel like that. ugh, that's such an easy route with him. Anyone of these other bookers could do that. So I would not of been a fan of that anyway

But you have the mystery angle going, so we'll see what you do. Those are always fun Overall, great show. Liked it 10x better then last week. You have a great mix all over the place. I hope you pull a fast one with HHH and don't book like the WWE would though.

SCW

It was ok. not a lot going on though. so there's not much to review. Love your tag division and your Matt Hardy angle. But I'm not really interested that much. If you like good old pure wreslting, this is the show for you.

DWW

I don't know what to say. It's just not my kind of show. It's like ROH to me. Lots of wrestling and ROH type promos.

TIW

Last week was a great show. This week didn't have the same feel. Not a lot going on. Ted Dibiase has the same exact gimmick as he has on Raw right now. You even gave him the pretty blond.

The Foley/Taker thing made no sense. Foley's main event career was jump started by that fall. It didn't end his career. And there's plenty of other things people talk about with Taker other then KOTR 98. I didn't like this at all.

I did like Joe choking Taker though. Good job there.

The last match was good. I don't like what you're doing with Sheamus/Ziggler and McIntrye. I'd rather see them as a team, then as just associates. I'd rather Zig and Mac help Sheamus to capture the belt and then you do the MacIntrye gets jelous angle. Turn Mac babyface and off you go. The way you're booking is something WWE 2010 would do. I'm big on stong heel stables running a show and you have one here.

LAW

My fav last week. Let's see what you do this week

Fucking love Assasin Michael Tarver. He's prob my fav character followed by Joe Perfect. Love how you had Tarver attack with a lead pipe, my fav wreslting weapon ever. How did you know this? I absolutely hate Big Show, so I am glad you had Tarver attack him. But I also applaud this because you had Tarver attack a high profile main eventer. That's how you create stars. I hope you book Tarver into a Title match down the line.

The rest of the show was decent. You did a lot last week, so you couldn't do too may surpries this week. I like what you did with Jericho coming out of the limo. I am intrigued about this.

The Cottonwood stuff was also good.

The Boss and the Incident stuff still Intrigues me. Can't wait to see what you do

Nothing really going on in your ending, which you had a stong one last week. This week was plain. No real cliff hanger to next week.

But overall it was another solid show.

Final Comments

well, fuck me, after reading them all, VCW takes it this week. There's still some stuff I don't like, but I felt this show was the strongest overall. From top to bottom, it was a great show.

LAW gets 2nd place followed by TIW.

I like where Joe Perfect is going. Hogan is coming off like a little bitch. That is very hard to believe.

Decent promo by the Usos but for a hyped match it was pretty much a squash. Doesn't really give much credibility to the Dudleys or the tag belts.

I'm interested in what Cody Rhodes is up to.

I assumed that the Undertaker was behind the HHH attacks but I see he is on another roster so it's not him so this peaks my interest more.

Stars: Joe Perfect, Mystery Man

SCW

Like the Williams/Regal team.

I'm not really buying Hawkins being any threat to Edge, even with the help of Archer.

Battle Royal looked good. Good ending leading to what should be a great PPV match up.

Stars: Swagger, Angle

DWW

Really like Gertner and Raven on commentary.

Nice interview with The Miz. I couldn't help but think of Raven and Kanyon at Raven's mom's house from WCW, but it really put Miz over.

Nice segment to put Rhino over.

A tag match for the Main Event doesn't seem like a Main Event to me. I think it was so that you could end with the Bourne interview but tag title don't have a main event feel to them.

Stars: The Miz, Rhino

TIW

Nothing noteworthy until the Taker/Foley/Joe segment. Really liked Taker's reasoning for attacking Mic, but don't really like Joe being the guy Mic chooses.

Don't like all the sportsmanship in the main event.

Stars: Samoa Joe

LAW

Liking the different version of Cena.

I like having Tarver attack Big Show and then Show losing. It puts over Tarver, Show and really establishes Jericho as a heel.

The Cena/Wolfe match was weird. Why wasn't Wolfe disqualified for using the chair?

Stars: Jericho, Cena, Tarver

Ok DWW, here we go:

Good show. I was not the biggest fan from last week, but this week you made me interested in everything, including the commentary. I loved the promos, I think that is your major selling point. Good matches, and I totally buy the >15 min of ring action in the triple threat.

The main event was near perfection. Good action, and drama with the Rey mysterio spot followed by establishment of Evan Bourne's character even more. I really got nothing against this show this week.

VSG
08-02-2010, 07:59 PM
TIW, where is your logo anyway?

Ok pet peeves first since they are far lesser in magnitude than the positives: Since you dedicate your show to in ring action, can we get an estimate on the individual match times? From your description of the action, I am not sure you got a 2 hour show and I just want to confirm what you think. Correct me if wrong though, I remember reading somewhere that the shows are of 2 hours duration each. If not, my bad.

Does the announce team have any role in this apart from their intro in the beginning?

Good choice for match-ups, especially Natty-McCool. I like that you chose to stick with Ted DiBiase's million dollar gimmick. I would have rather this came on before McCool's match but its just me. It was worth building up Joe last week for the PPV match announcement. I definitely want to see that.

I am a bit confused about your title scenario, but that's a good thing as I want to know more about it and will have to tune in next week.

Good job, but not yet in my top 2. Getting there though.

Honestly, I think the turnout may be kind of a good thing. There's a better chance that the people who voted actually read all of the shows. I think we all know that the average attention span of a TPWW poster isn't very long.

VCW

Never liked in-ring promos right before a match, they usually come across as pretty generic unless and more as filler than anything unless being done with some legit mic talent (see Rock, E&C etc) so to see them before the first 4 matches wasn't very inspiring. Also, the only one I'd like to have seen happen (Joe Perfect fresh off his repackaging) was cut short. Not a fan of the cartoony stuff with the lights either. Having them go out is fine but the broken sledgehammer is a bit daft. Not buying The Uso's for a second as UCLA/Harvard grads either. Also, if you're trying to build them, probably not a good idea to job them out to the Dudleys 2 weeks in a row. Why would anybody care about them or what they've done after that? That said, stronger show than previously.

SCW

Not sure about the Young Bucks going over the Hardys before but laying down for Regal and Williams. They're young end exciting enough to have 'gotten them over' by showing off some of their tag wrestling and aerial stuff and losing close matches to the more established guys like Hardys, Regal/Williams etc. Love Slater getting shit on. Unlike VSG, I think that spot is perfect for him, the gimmick only adds to it. More in-ring promos followed by matches = meh. Probably would believe Archer more as a viable threat, despite his in-ring 'ability' instead of Curt Hawkins. Love all the Matt Hardy stuff. A dodgy Matt Hardy with this gimmick could be fantastic with the right balance of humour and creepiness, like a cross between V1 Hardy and Super Serial Hardy. Nice finish too. The lack of roster depth is pretty evident with Jack Swagger being the guy to wrestle Angle. I think Punk/Angle was really the only choice for the PPV but that load was blown. Like the first show, stronger than last week. Would probably watch 'irl' just for the Hardy stuff because I think it could be that good. This would have been my #1 had Punk/Angle been the long term plan/Punk didn't do the big fat J.O.B in Week 1.

DWW

Trying far too hard again to be controversial or funny (went down in flames on both counts), which brings me back to the teenage Russo with his figures comment. I stopped reading after 'everybodies favourite semen stain', which I guess is the equivalent of 'turning off the TV' in this game. Just really bad.

TIW

Still really like the simple, non complicated layout. Like the DiBiase build too although I think you could have done better than 'foot massages'. And having Skip actually start doing it makes him look like a bitch. But at least you're maybe building towards something. Still don't like Joe going over 2 big guys with the big guys getting so little in. Joe can be built as a threat without having to do it. Also not getting if Taker is supposed to be face or heel (I'm assuming heel) If so, I don't buy it. Nobody wants to boo Taker at this point in his career. Probably could have done with more Sheamus if he's gonna be one of/the top heel as well. I liked the ending, I just don't know how much an audience would respond/care about it as a way to close a show. It's hints at some disarray between the heels and people aren't supposed to want them to do well so why would they care? (they aren't established enough to get by on name value) I like that it wasn't AJ that won the match. Christian and RVD are capable of looking after themselves when it comes to singles. I've never bought into AJ except for when he (excellently) plays dorky heel so having RVD and Christian to help hide his flaws would probably be a smart move. Like I've said, simple and effective for the most part.

LAW

Very nice opening line with the Cena/cab mention. Builds towards something (namely, Cena showing up) Which turns out to be pretty much straight away. If you were gonna bring him out, you probably should have just opened the show with Cena to maximize the pop and the interest, then bring out the others then the authority figure to make the matches. I love the references to 'The Boss' but not so much 'The Incident'. If you're building towards some kind of reveal as to what the incident was, it wouldn't work because this is the age of the internet and obviously 'The Incident' never happened. If you're saying 'The Incident' as a reference to something your fans presumably already know about (I assume something that lead to the end of WWE/TNA), fair enough that's fine. Nice continued build for the Cottonwood character. Never paid any attention to him 'irl' so I wouldn't know what he looks like etc but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since I assume you didn't just randomly give him that gimmick. I think you should concentrate on establishing Kidd and DH Smith before teasing any kind of problems (as I've said, why would anyone care if they fell out) but if it's just a way to have Smith lose not exactly clean, that's fine. I'd watch Tatsu/Gabriel happily, perfect type of match for TV. Like Tarver taking out Show too to build his character. Wouldn't have him say a whole lot. Good stuff for Jericho. I assume the main was No DQ? Would be a bit confusing having a random chair shot busted out.

DWW Booker here. First off, not very constructive. Oh well.

"semen stain" was a reference to Jesse Neal's past as a United States Sailor, also it came out of the mouth of Joel Gertner. I have the feeling you don't have any knowledge of either character so, I guess that makes sense. Still don't get the Russo comment but, to each his own.

I don't recall attempting to be very constructive for the most part (although I'm pretty sure yours is the only one I actually slated) Also there are plenty of other posters doing that.

I have enough knowledge of Joel Gertner to know that's pretty bad and unimaginative, even for him (ditto the Titanic line, very nice premise, shitty punchline). And you're expecting 'your fans' to automatically know about Jesse Neal's past with a vague and poorly executed reference no mention of said past?

If you don't get the Russo comment, I'm guessing you don't have any knowledge of that character.

And like I said, I didn't continue reading it after the semen stain comment. What I read up to that was enough to know where the show was gonna be in my rankings. ;)

Armchair Booker
08-04-2010, 09:06 PM
DWW Booker again. CSL, you're taking my critique of your critique to heart. Good on you for caring.

Also, the Titanic line was a traditional Gertner intro.

If you had read it without the context you might have noticed that it was spelt "seamen" and not "semen".

Also, it's Jesse Neal's entire gimmick from TNA. "I was on the USS Cole" etc. and it really doesn't matter as it's like attacking the WWE for a single midget.

I get that you don't like the show but, still, you give no insight as to what really rubs you the wrong way, what logical problems break the show down, etc.

Again with the Russo thing, I am unable to see it and you happen to be the only person that does. Not saying you're wrong, I can't be 100% objective about my show as I wrote it, however your critiques are just baffling.

Russo to me is "finger poke of doom", "david arquette as Champion" and "things on pole" matches.

But, back to your actual "review"..."trying too hard" to be funny and controversial is what you said and hey, that makes sense to me at least. You never know what people will think is funny or over-the-top and I can at least understand that you'd think I'm trying too hard to be controversial (cursing?) or funny (Joel Gertner).

So to help you be a better judge I'll ask the following questions:

1. You hinted that you didn't read the show. Did you read the show (and lie about not reading it) or at least skim it?

2. What do you think about the actual angles that are running? Rhino chasing a title-shot, Evan Bourne's beef with The Miz, the Tag Title scene, Rey Mysterio's injury.

3. In your opinion does Russo write my undercard solely or is he heading the whole operation?

4. What do you have against Vince Russo?

5. What did you find to be something that seemed forced "controversy" or force "humor"?

6. Do you really think it's okay to rank something you haven't read?
