Yes, that's right. Jimmy Cones is on vacation and left me with this info. And today, on his behalf, I give to you all to evaluate none other than the Stinger himself. (This was JC's choice, btw, not mine...) So rank him and discuss why you ranked him as you did.

I'm going to give sting a 9 because he was a tremendous worker in his hay-day and because he's done so much without help from vince.

Yeah, I'll give him a 9 as well. Amazing in WCW, and still has been pretty solid, from what I've seen of his work, in TNA. As far as I'm concerned, he's more than earned it.

I gave him a 10, maybe I'm biased because he is my all time favorite wrestler. However, I think he has great technical skill, great brawling/high-flying ability, charismatic. I think he has the best look of any wrestler, I know part of his gimmick is from the Crow, but his feud with the nWo is the reason for WCW's domination over WWE for most of those 84 weeks. It is still amazing how he is able to put on great matches with men half his age like AJ Styles. On a sidenote, I am looking forward to seeing what Sting and Kevin Nash are going to do against Hogan and Bischoff.

A 9 for sure...closer to a 9.6 though.Sting IS an icon in this sport,and the ONLY wrestler of his caliber that i can think of that's never been in wwe.That's what i think his real legacy is in this buisness.He's the one that didn't go to stamford.Some of his matches are the best I've ever seen.Foley/vader/flair/him and dusty vs. the road warriors,and who can forget sting vs. the great muta.For those who would have liked to see him in wwe,here's a window in to what could have been...

I'd give Sting a 9. Not quite at the highest level to get a 10, but his WCW days were amazing!

The guy is a legend in professional wrestling, and the fact he has achived this status without ever being in the WWE is a testament to how good he is.

I have liked a lot of his work but honestly never thought he was overly special. Especially now in his twilight years I can barely stand anything he does.

I agree. I also believe he is overrated. U look at even his matches en the early 90's in WCW, when he was at his peak, and he was nothing special, not one move "sticks out" like "Whoa, awesome"...and his version of the Scorpion Deathlock SUCKS. On the mic, he was ok...nothing special, either.

I'll give him a...4.

I will go with seven because i think Sting still has it. His matches with Angle,Joe,Styles, Abyss, Christian, and even "Mr. Ego" Jeff Jarrett were pretty good.

8, and I think it'd be lower if not for his "faux crow" gimmick being so huge. But it was, and he helped define WCW at the time, in part because of the gimmick and in part because of his loyalty.

8, if he guy kept his surfer gimmick he'd go down the toilet, the crow gimmick put him over big time in the 90's and made him unstoppable, reason for 8 is because he's a hard working, loyal and a great all-rounder.

The Schlome pretty much summed up my feelings for the Stinger... Although his feuds with Flair were great and his days with WCW/NWO were decent in my book, this is another guy WELL past his prime that can't seem to leave the business... And I really have never thought he pulls the heel thing off to good either! But what do I know...

But, out of respect for the guy as a worker & making it HUGE in the business without the help of VKM, I round up to an 8...:nono:
