View Full Version : Would it help get them over? (The Uso's)

Ok so as we all know, Bret Hart more or less helped get the Hart Dynasty way over as a team. Granted they are that damned good inside the ring regardless, but he more or less gave them that little bit extra they were lacking.

So here is my real question, would a Rikishi on screen return help get the Uso's as over as the Hart Dynasty is? Granted most of today's target audience would surely not remember him that well, but the older audiences would. So what do you think about it? Would he help them achieve something 1 step higher than what they ultimately are now, or would he just be a waste of on screen time?

Nah. Rikishi isn't a "big name." He's recognizable, but he's not the same caliber as someone like Bret. If you're going to bring in anyone, bring in Snuka.

That was my other thought, but what if they brought them both in?

Kishi would be a bigger draw than Snuka I'm sorry but Snuka is ancient and only known by probably a third of the crowd where Kishi would be remembered by 2/3's and can still work in the ring. Once the kids see the stinkface you know they will get cheers.

Possibly if he was used as a full time manager and mouthpiece for them. It would certainly make me give a shit about them.

Only if they turn face and all 3 do the Too Cool Dance.

I'd be ok with this, unless one of them does the worm. That will always be Scotty's gimmick.

No. Snuka is no good on the mic and everyone would rather see Kishi as a face in the ring.

I doubt the stinkface is considered PG

What would get them over is more training and a different feud. Because right now they are just so fucking terrible.

they should bring in Too Cool instead

Yeah, bring in Too Cool and throw the Uso's out the door.

A big fat man wearing a thong doesn't equal PG...

I don't think it would help..... their current "we aren't your typical Samoan; we went to University" gimmick is good enough..... all they need is a stronger tag team division to help them get over.... HD & The Usos are great in the ring, but HD have the combined personality & charisma of a doormat

It certainly wouldn't hurt but I don't think it would help them all that much not to see the same degree that's for sure that's not too say i'd mind for him to at least make an appearance even if it's for one night only.

I agree that there just needs to be a better tag team division for The Usos. Let them squash Vladimir Kozlov & Santino Marella or something, and then bring up some face teams for them to battle. Are there actually any in FCW? The only ones I can think of are Los Aviadores, and I think they would be better suited to SmackDown!.

I've thought about bringing Rikishi in as a manager for them. I don't think it would work as well as Bret did for The Hart Dynasty, but if he was solely a manager, Rikishi would add a little bit of "star power" to them. "These are my boys. They're going to be better than I ever was, and they're going to be better than The Rock ever was." He'd just be at ringside helping them win matches and shit. It could work.

Apparently there are a lot of guys in the WWE that are backing The Usos, so I expect they will stick around. They'll probably end up as random muscle for some heel soon.
