I was just watching when Mike Awesome threw Kanyon off the cage and "broke" his back. Then it got me thinking about how Kanyon quit the business and started bashing wrestling all together because he was gay or black or whatever.

But lets discuss why wrestlers do this Indy or Mainstream and can anyone name any others that have done this?

So why do you think wrestlers turn there back on the business? You know the thing that gave them what little fame and money they got.

Wrestlers don't turn their back on the business. The business beats them into submission.

But to answer your question, Chris Nowinski would be the perfect example.

Yeah but don't you think they should be happy that they got this moment in the sun? Is it because of the Bullshit politics that come involved with the business

Yeah but he doesn't seem bitter about it. Something positive has become of it. I am talking about someone who became extremely bitter about it. Like, You may not know him that well but Deathmatch wrestler Dustin Lee. He began to blame everyone else but himself for his short comings or the fact that he worked for a con man like Ian Rotten. But it was always everyone else's fault but his why he never succeeded.

I mean unless you plan on getting into the front office, there's nothing left for a wrestler once his prime is over other than to keep wrestling as a washed up has-been. And for the wrestlers who are able to see this, it's not surprising that it makes them angry and not like the business.

I mean I can understand quitting the Indies because the money is not always there. I can also understand not wanting to deal with the High School nature of it.

Turn their back? I dont know any wrestlers other than maybe Kanyon that actually turned their back on it.

Turned their back is NOT the same as moving on to pursue other things.

Well, wasnt Kanyon along with Marc Mero and Raven the ones filing that class action lawsuit and talked about how "horrible they ended up, because of the business"? They said "how its wrestlings fault they had soo many injuries and no money"? Im curious, dont WWE wrestlers make decient money (even if they are mid carders)? I figured its kinda like me where the gov takes out money for my food, housing, and some health coverage but I still get a paycheck. Is it similar with the WWE? (where the wrestler get their "contracted" pay but have some taken out for travel and health benifits?)

Why isn't there more loyalty to an industry that chews you up and spits you out?

I wouldnt blame anyone for being mad if they were physically injured and didnt have any health insurance. Besides, its not like this is specific to just pro wrestling. Ex-football players, child stars, reality tv flops, to name a few.

wrestlers don't get taxes taken out when they get paid they have to pay the govt themselves

Time Warner turned their back on Wrestling by deciding to sell WCW to WWF (WWE)...I think on the WCW DVD it says that they (Time Warner) didn't want to have anything to with wrestling.

I think you'd have to be autistic or a sociopath to treat him as serious.

I never said to take that comment serious. I mean who gives a fuck Kanyon was nothing special. Its sucks he died. But one minute he was gay then he wasn't.Then he got fired for being gay on a Tuesday. Chris Benoit was his best friend who made him gay. I mean he was fucked in the head thats for sure.
