Face or Heel: The Phenomenal AJ Styles

Looks like HEEL Jericho wins by a landslide. Given the points made in some of the posts regarding preferences toward heels, I tried to come up with one where that arguement might not hold true. AJ Styles... The Phenomenal One. HEEL turned FACE turned Flair protege HEEL. I agree that most guys are easily better as heels but this guy is hard to peg down. As far as the Fourtune stable is concerned, he definitely deserves to be in there, but his "nature boy" gimmick is.... meh. At the same time, he was not stellar as a face, but I do think it suited him better. Styles is easily my favorite thing going in TNA now or ever. The guy can work well in the ring even if he can't work the mic equally well. But I'm more curious about your guys' take?

I'd have to say face as well.TNA always makes him someone's "little buddy"when he's a heel.Christian Cage,Angle and now Flair.This makes him look like less of a top player to me.Plus when he beat jarrett for the title (w/tito ortiz as ref) it was one of the loudest pops i've heard in the impact zone.He's they're version of Shawn michaels but they treat him like Janetty sometimes.

Face all the way. It really is beyond me that Styles seems to have spent at least half of his TNA career as a heel even though it has diminished his credibility every time. I wouldn't take anything away from him because of this though. In fact I think he's being a real trooper with his current place. He is one of the only TNA wrestlers who behave like they give a darn about what they are doing there.

I do remember fondly his heel run in the early stages of TNA when he had a horrible fringe but I'd say his peak as a face.

I voted face because I don't think his personal beliefs lend to a heel persona. He never seems to look comfortable as a heel.

He's one of they few that is better at being a face and in these days that seems to be a rarity.

The only time I've ever seen him show one drop of charisma was when he was acting goofy with Christian so I would say heel. He's more wooden than a shed most of the time. Good worker, almost zero personality.

aj doesnt have the mic skills or personality to be a heel it just isnt him
