one thing that i have never been a fan of is jobber matches.I know there is not nearly as many as there used to be,but they do still happen quite offen.I'm not a fan of them because as soon as they start you know what's gong to happen. No one in the world thought that Jerry Flynn was going beat Goldberg in any of the 30 matches they had during his "streak".They are uninteresting time fillers and not worth my viewing.I'm especially tired of the WWE making wrestlers that are still over with the fans job out and get buried by the so called new talent. I say stop doing them all together and keep it competitive. What's your opinion on this? More jobs, less jobs,or is it fine how it is?

I remember when the Brooklyn Brawler beat Triple H.

I think that it's important to keep your major players apart from each other and yet still establish that they're good in the ring. Jobbers accomplish that.
I don't believe in permanent jobbers and definitely not the guys who get squashed every match but, giving a new guy the opportunity to evolve over a year or so in the ring and wrestling with the top talent that company has to offer isn't so bad.
So if no one is jobbing? How do you build new talent?

Good question...or questions? Not sure, I think though it was meant to be one :-) jk. Seriously good point though.

There is a difference between jobbing and just losing. They can still build new talent but at least make it an interesting match.Squash matches are pointless and lazy imho.If your opponent seems strong, and you beat him doesn't that make you seem even stronger?

depends on what you're trying to accomplish for the winner.

Yeah, we need more of "Jumpin" Joey Maggs and the fucking Gambler from WCW Saturday night...maybe even some tag action with the State Patrol :)
I like how when you google "Barry Horowitz wiki" this is the second result:

But if you are trying to get someone over as being an unstoppable monster, how do you sell that if they have trouble putting down someone like Primo Colon?

In the 70's you had a guy in the wwf ..name of frankie williams every time ya saw him...ya know what the result was gonna be( you might remember him being in a piper's pit segment ,think he quit soon after) The jobber thing is way much better now.at least now a days they give ya a half decent match and not just letting the poor guy get his ass handed to him.It took about over 25 years at least to get to this point.I say leave it as it is, the way it seems now that it will come to a point where it will get even more competitive n the might have to stop jobber matches for good one day....maybe.

Good jobbers make new wrestlers look great. They are helpful when debuting new talent.

jobbers are awesome, plus easy money for them. gives television exposure for them, puts talent over and able to create new stars so i disagree with cancelling jobber matches.

Sean Waltman kind of started as enhancement talent. Thought he started with a wierd name like the Cannonball Kid, or Kamikaze Kid, before getting an upset win over Razor Ramon. And then his push went from there. If we didn't have jobbers, we wouldn't have had that storyline.
On the otherhand, I hear the argument that if we didn't have jobbers, we wouldn't have been subjected to X-Pac.

I still remember watching that Razor Ramon debut match. I thought he was going for a regular powerbomb...then he lifted him up and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
"If something happens to this gold, chico...something's gonna happen to YOU"
One of my favorite jobbers was Reno Riggins. Johnny Polo would always put over his devestating "Reno Plex" as a definite match ender that he never actually got to pull off.
