and a lot of these guys finishing maneuvers suck all ass. what is the deal with that on both seasons no creativity or if its unique there's no feel of "yea that can finish a match" when the rookies or nexus perform a finishing maneuver?
Imo Barrett's is ok, the 450 and clothesline from hell work, Tarver's sucks, I don't even thing Slater has one, Otunga's spinebuster is sloppy, and Young's is underwhelming. Even in season 2 the only finisher I've seen that looks good is the warrior's way. so I'm wondering, is it WWE behind this or is it just a lack of creativity of the wrestler?

I like Darren's finish. I want to say Slater has one, but if he does, I can't think of it for the life of me. And Skip's backpack stunner is WAY better than his clothesline.
Haven't seen much of Season 2, but Harris does a senton splash, doesn't he? I find that concept rather convincing.

Riley's finish is just fine.

And yeah, a senton from a guy like Husky Harris is completely convincing as a finisher.

McGuillicutty's Neckbreaker is VICIOUS.

Slater used something similar to the Zigzag as a finisher in that tag match on Raw a few weeks ago. And Sheffield's stunner thing is pretty badass.

I don't feel like I've seen a good finisher in ages, and by good, I mean something that seems original.

Actually, yeah. Even on the slomo replay, I still have no clue what the fuck is happening there. It's fucking crazy.

Young's full nelson facebuster just seems more like a signature like orton's backbreaker to me it doesnt seem like something that will finish a match

i can take a hit on originality because there is only so many thing you can do that can be seen as a finisher but what puts a move over for me is execution
like cena's FU all it is is a high angle death valley driver but it works because he goes down with you making it look like more than it is

Neither does an RKO.

the thing about husky is preference for me, i mean alot of big guys used the big splash which is essentially what it is but when i see him do it i just think a guy his size could do something way better than that

i haven't seen riley or hennig use theirs i absolutely hate what percy uses
Watson had a beautiful floatover ddt but once he started using that "Oh yeah!" slam as a finisher, he lost it.

The 2nd season rookies have some of the better finishers like Kaval's is absolutely crazy, Riley has that Double A/RKO combo, and Hennig has the sick looking neckbreaker.

Harris should do the senton of the turnbuckle

I don't mind the finishers of the NXT guys, for the most part.
Michael Tarver had The Kill Shot, but they got rid of that because knocking people out is Big Show's thing. Whatever. I like his Tarver's Nightmare powerslam, too. I don't think I've even seen anyone do it quite like him. It's got flow to it. I say keep it. He just needs something else.
Darren Young's Partylights is okay. There is something a little sloppy about it, though. I do think he could use a new one. Heath Slater uses something that is pretty much the Zigzag. I'm surprised neither he nor Ziggler have had to change their move yet, but I say keep it that way. One day they can have a feud about who jumps and pulls the opponent down with them better. :shifty: For some reason, though, I could see an Impaler DDT really suiting Slater.
Skip Sheffield's Murder by Lariat is sick, and his Over the Shoulder Boulder Holder is even sicker. He needs no other finish. Wade Barrett's Wasteland started off as something I didn't like, but it's growing on me, I guess. Justin Gabriel's 450 Splash is obviously fine, but I think he could supliment it with something else. Maybe even a submission move?
On NXT 2, Kaval's Warrior's Way is fucking amazing. Riley's TKO is more than fine. Husky Harris uses the senton about as well as it can be used. Percy Watson often sets up his "Oh Yeah!" move with his Floatover DDT, so that's not too much worry. Something a bit more substantial would be appreciated. The McGillicutter is a sweet finish, and pretty much a faster version of The Miz's Mizard of Oz. McGillicutty also has the Perfect Plex he can bust out, I am sure.
Can't remember who it was but I saw someone do a "Reverse Powerslam". They went into normal powerslam from someone running at them but then reversed the momentum and went back on themselves to slam the guy. I thought that was pretty original, not a finisher though.
