View Full Version : RAW Spoilers for 08/23/10
From PWInsider:
Sheamus opened Raw by ragging on Randy Orton. He said that he is in charge tonight and will get to pick the matches.
Edge beat R Truth with a Spear. Edge let it be known he is in the title match.
Chris Jericho beat Great Khali.
Jillian's push lasted one night as Melina came out and stopped her when she was singing, then beat her. LayCool said they want to wrestle Melina at Night of Champions.
Miz did a promo explaining the logic gap of not taking Sheamus' title at SummerSlam by saying he was focused on wrestling for Team WWE. He said he wants John Cena and will get him later tonight.
Nexus came out. The AIM-GM said that they did great last week and now they can have title shots. Wade Barrett said that is bad news for Sheamus and they are coming after him.
Cena vs. Miz went to a DQ when Daniel Bryan ran in and attacked Miz. Cena and Bryan left Miz laying.
Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella beat The Usos. Tamina still likes Santino. Poor Usos.
Randy Orton beat John Morrison and Ted DiBiase after an RKO on Morrison. Orton laid out DiBiase too.
Sheamus chose to pick Zack Ryder. He pinned him in 10 seconds. Sheamus said he would take some time off now. The AIM-GM said no. There will be a Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions, Sheamus defending against Barrett, Orton, Cena, Edge and Jericho. A brawl ends the show. Orton laid out Cena with an RKO to show it's every man for himself.

I'm not sure I like Barrett's title shot coming in a 6 Pack Challenge simply because I think there's now much less of a chance that he'll win the belt anytime soon. Dude can def hold the strap.
But, I see why they did it. It's a PPV full of title matches so if Sheamus/Barrett was the WWE title match there'd be nothing for Cena, Orton, etc. to do.
One thing to be noted is that Barrett came to the ring after Sheamus-Ryder and demanded a title match immediately. It was then that the GM informed everyone of the 6-pack challenge.

Can Sheamus, Barrett, Orton, Edge and Jericho over come the odds when they take on Cena in a everyman for themself 6-Pack Challenge?
For once I'm actually happy to see Cena standing tall......only ofcourse because of Bryan Danielson.
I still think Sheamus is walking out the champ.

I still think Sheamus is walking out the champ.
I agree only because he is the one we( at least me) love to hate and he is being portrayed as the bad guy. They'll keep having Sheamus win just because alot of people don't like it.

They( at least the TD Garden website) already announced a Sheamus vs Cena match for Boston in two weeks on MNR so next week could set this up.
Now on the garden website it says a triple threat steel cage match between Sheamus, Cena and Orton.

I am. My concern is if they start a match after they go off the air (which they did in Phoenix when I went) I have issues getting to the train station for the last train of the night.

By shaving his head, putting on a pair of jean shorts and pulling a switch out finish?
Ryder's pretty much being given the Chavo treatment now, Morrison is also going nowhere fast :(

Your other concern should be meeting Jeritron and Providence Peep.

They should have done a 6 pack challenge on SD. Punk being in anything called "6 pack" would be funny. Of course, I dont think there are 6 legit contenders on SD so that would be a problem.

Competing and getting chosen as a cop out heel tactic before being pinned in ten seconds are not exactly the same thing.

Why can't Wade Barett get a singles match? They have no Idea how to get him over. They need to take him out Nexus all those jobbers are holding him back. They are just killing the poor guys career.
Danielson needs to be beating down the Miz week after week. I would also like to see Danielson put Alex Riley to shame. That no talent fuck has killed NXT week after week. It would make Danielson look good and basically say. Miz you can't train anyone you fail at what you do. Cut a promo along the lines of that. Then have it lead to him challenging him for the US title at Night of Champions. Then put Danielson on US championship run like in ROH where he takes on all opponents. Danielson could bring prestige back to the belt.
If the Nexus get chosen for the Tag title pick the worst ones and then have them released because they will botch the whole time. so we can clear some room for Tyler Black if he actually comes.

Zack Ryder is 25 years old people. Chill. If in 10 years he's still getting squashed, then we can say he's getting the Chavo treatment.
