Looks fucking awful. But the whole trojan helmet thing looks great next to that gay butterfly Divas belt.

The replica belts don't do the real ones justice.

Well, it's about time they retired the two belts if they aren't going to defend them separately. And at least they look better compared to:

I liked them. They got an identity of their own now, rather than looking like spin-offs of the IC title.

it's not that they look bad, it's just they don't look like a credible championship belt. You wouldn't be able to take the tag champs seriously b/c the belt design looks weak

Looks like one of those belts that would come (usually attached so you couldn't actually take it off) with really cheap fake wrestling figures from the corner shop.

Yeah. I thought the titles looked pretty cool on Raw. This replica looks like garbage though.

I dunno. I'm indifferent about them. I don't care for the design but it doesn't bother me. They should've just upadted the old pre brand split belts and brought those back.

When I was a kid, I'd cut the ankle-hem part off a sock and superglue a penny to it to represent a championship belt.

This is the same thing on a much larger scale. Awful.

Not really sure what was wrong with these:

Whoever is designing and fabricating the WWE championship belts these days needs to be future endeavoured immediately. First they give us the horrendous Divas Title, then the hideous ECW championship belt, and now these disgraceful tag team belts. What non-sense will they come up with next? What is so wrong with a traditional style championship belt made of gold and mounted to leather? These titles look like they are made of copper and mounted to some weird plastic composite. Two Thumbs down.

Comparing this belt to those of the past, absolutely. There's essentially 2 designs being used on the main face. The helmets and the egyptian-ish background. How isn't that bland? I'm not saying it doesn't work. I'm just saying there should be more.

Yes! It's good I'm not the only one who thinks that.

Though the belts do look like giant shiny 1p and 2p pieces glued to a strap of leather.

My crudely drawn representation:
http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/2185/58524528.png

But I'm not complaining. It's good that after 16 months of being unified, the belts have actually been unified into one belt. :y:

I thought the belts looked good on Raw but after seeing the picture and seeing all the details, my opinion has changed a bit. I just don't get why they chose Spartan helmets.

Is it because the Spartans were a strong team or something like that? :-\

I assume it is because Vince McMahon just found out about the popularity of the film 300.

Reason Behind WWE Tag Title Change Revealed, More Details
Posted by: Wrestling-Radio.com

The decision to rename the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship the WWE Tag Team Championship was made by Vince McMahon himself. McMahon has been quoted as saying that he wants new belts to be marketed, and that it would also be easier for the talent who holds them to pass through airports more easily with one set of belts instead of two.

As of right now, it is also unknown as to whether the new titles will be considered "unified" titles to be defended on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown or whether the titles will be exclusive to RAW only.

Yeah, except I worry that if their contracts with TNA are allowed to expire and they're released from TNA, that they'll not be interested in going back to WWE. I could be wrong, but it seems that a lot of WWE-to-TNA talent that go to TNA seem to not be interested in WWE when they're done with TNA more than ever as of recently.

Seems like a lot of folks from the Dudleys' school are getting tryouts with TNA. Doubt the same would be said with WWE. Businesswise, going back to WWE seems like a lose-lose scenario.
