Better Final 3 for NXT: Season 1 vs Season 2

Which season do you think had a better final three wrestlers for the NXT finale between the two seasons so far?

Season One:
Justin Gabriel, Wade Barrett, and David Otunga

OR

Season Two:
Alex Riley, Kaval, and Michael McGillicutty

This season by far. Overall, I'd say this season has been worse overall talent-wise, but the final three this season outshine all but Barrett in my opinion.

Season 2 for sure. Had no doubts Barrett was gonna win, and honestly I only cared about the Danielson/Cole feud. This season I have no idea what's gonna happen and I like it.

By this logic, shouldn't someone other than Low Ki win? The point of the win is to get them over more than they are. Kaval doesn't need that, he'll be fine on his own. On the other hand, Riley and Hennig could both use it to establish themselves.

season 2 imo but its close we all know how wade turned out and im partial to gabriel but otunga is just god awful so hennig,kaval and riley with the slight edge

The only stuff of Alex Riley I have seen is his appearance on Raw on Monday. He seemed to show at least some charisma.

I like this season's final three because I'm not sure who will win. It was pretty obvious last season that Barrett was going to win after Danielson was taken out.

I liked the Daniel Bryan/Cole angle in S1 and haven't watched all of S2 but from what I seen, S2 has the better final 3 thanks to Kaval. He's cool.

As others have said, it's not nearly as predictable this time. I only wish Husky was in the final three... maybe with Kaval and Riley.

like everyone else has said we all knew barrett was going to win that. this season its completely up for grabs. I really like Alex Riley. he has the most charisma and best image/angle out of the group. He could step in right now and be a good mid-level heel. Like Hennig but not sure exactly where he would fit right now role and angle wise. Kaval is going to be around win or loss and will be excellent regardless.

So season 2 gets it overall, I suppose. I'm a huge A-Ri mark, so that gets season two extra points, and I think David Otunga is absolutely awful, so that takes points away from season one. I'm becoming a bigger fan of Justin Gabriel, though. I thought he looked like a star at SummerSlam.

I think Alex Riley would be the best person to win season 2, I mean Kaval is already a fairly well-known guy anyway and i'm sure with a name change, Joe Hennig could get over based on the fact he's third-generation - I mean they had no problems using that with Rhodes, DiBiase, Orton, etc etc.

Plus Riley is the only heel left, and it seems to work better on a heel winning NXT and shoving it down people's throats in my opinion. Plus it'd give The Miz yet another accomplishment to brag about. :cool:

I agree. I don't know why some people think he is good on the mic. The only people from Season 1 I liked were in order Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett. I think Gabriel has the in ring ability but Barrett has the mic skills. Barrett is decent in the ring, but nowhere near that good and he needs to get a decent finisher. I like Low Ki, Joe Hennig and Alex Riley. WWE will rig the vote so Riley wins which sucks because he's the one that shouldn't win as the other two know what to do in the ring and Hennig is great in the ring and on the mic he times everything perfectly. Riley rambles on and on. I actually think Kaval is good on the mic as well at least not as bad as people say. it's ridiculous that both Cole and Matthews make fun of him. Husky Harris stayed on way too long as he is sloppy in the ring and last night he botched everything he did. He is extremely overrated. I say this because Vince is high on him and I don't see why. I also got a kick out of Kaval making fun of TNA.

Season 1 of NXT seemed really predictable towards the end. With this week’s eliminations, I had a hard time figuring how who was staying and who was getting the axe. Season 2 by far on this one.

I would love to see Riley win, becomes the Miz's right hand man, the Miz cashes in the MIB and wins the title, and leads a stable.

Original plans were for Season 2 to have 12 weeks and end next week but WWE gave it an extra week so August 31 is the finale.

I'm not completely shocked at the poll results so far since Otunga is the weakest of both groups. He would work much better if they made him similar to Skip who mostly beats up people rather than talking a lot.

Going into this season, I thought it would have been weaker due to the less weeks and filling up half of the rookies with wrestlers who come from wrestling families unlike Season One.

To break down Season 2:Kaval doesn't need to win to get over with the fans so it's between Riley and McGillicutty. Riley doesn't really need it either if they decide to keep him with the Miz for awhile. It would be better if McGillicutty won overall.

I took to Alex Riley early on after not having a favorite the first week or so, and I think he's the best overall package. Him and the Miz on RAW would be awesome.

Can't see him winning after his mention of TNA (even if he was taking the piss) especially with not just Cole but Josh saying he should go. I mean, didn't Riley lose and Kaval win on that show and they had Josh say based on the show Kaval should go and Riley should win!? However, he would be a deserving winner in terms of inring talent. Not so sure about him on the mic but he did show himself to be a bit more dynamic with his rap.

McGillicutty
I had high hopes for him. He's good in the ring but his mic work seems a miss. He has decent delivery but the content is just off. Depends if NXT is as scripted as the rest of WWE (it doesn't seem to be). Should go far, perhaps with a name change. They don't need to call him Hennig.

Riley
I was blown away by Riley's charisma. His mic skills and ability to rile a crowd are fantastic. He would make a great second to The Miz, I need to take another look at his inring stuff though.

Any of them would be worthy winners.

On topic, I'd take Season 2 over 1.

I'm actually thinking Harris already has a job. Him and Cody Rhodes are a pretty good match IMO to give them something to do as a tag team for awhile.
